Toast : Network connectivity established - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
Nearly each time I swtich on my S5, I have a toast " Network Connectivity established" and/or " connected to wifi network xxxx".
How can I disabled this ??

Ok. Nothing to do with rom or kernel. ?
It's a notification from an app called "device manager.." made for Linksys router.

Wifi Connected but no Internet

Hi Guys, I have an interesting problem with my DHD..
My phone is showing that it is connected to my WiFi router (Orange Livebox [UK]):
Status: Connected
Speed: 48Mbps
Signal Strength: Excellent
Security: WPA/WPA2 PSK
IP address: 192.168.1.253
The wifi logo is present on the notification bar (but only showing 1 bar interestingly).
However, there is no internet access to the phone. I am unable to load any webpages in the browser, access the android market, or use any other app requiring internet access.
The wifi works perfectly fine on other networks at friends and public places.
I am currently running the Stock UK rom with no modifications, system is non-rooted.
I would appreciate any assistance on the matter, and if anyone can suggest a solution.
Thanks in advance!
Is MAC address restrict mode activated in your router?
Then add the MAC address of the HTC to the allow list in the router.
Just delete the apn settings and add it again. This fix my issue.

I also experienced wifi problems with my stock rom before flashing to the actual crom (leedroid). I had problems like you a few times, but also sometimes couldn't even get the wifi to connect (wifi on but no successful connection).
Never found out why, but runs perfect since using custom rom.

to fix this, i went into wifi settings, click menu, advanced, and untick use static IP. turn off phone and turn on again. did this help?
Unlike a PC, Android doesn't seem to notice when the WIFI network is local only . Dumb maybe, but check with a laptop, if your WIFI isn't local only...

Prefered wifi order

Is there any way to set prefered wi-fi ??
Like "wifi priority" (IN cm 10.1 on my phone) ?
with Wi-Fi frequency set to auto... I lose 5Ghz netrorks --> "not in gange" when connected to 2.4G network"
Only way to connect..t to 5G network is to reboot or manually select 5g band..
How to fix that ?
Thanks..
I have not used it (yet) but try wifi prioritizer on Google Play. It looks like you can drag around each access point into the order of priority.
Updated: this kept disabling connections for some reason. Might not for you but I've uninstalled it.
This functionality should be in stock android as I want it to stay on my 5gig network by default.

WiFi connection is stable, but Internet isn't

Somebody please delete my previous thread (wrong forum), thank you: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2707468
------------------------------------
WiFi connects to my router and stays connected at excellent signal strength without any trouble. Internet connection however, always disappears after a minute or so. Then my Dolphin Browser either keeps loading a website forever or gives me some error like "Webpage not available". Same story with stock or any other browser. I'm not sure since how long I have had this issue. It surely existed already when my phone came back from warranty service (and I had sent it there because of very short range of WiFi commonly known problem which they fixed by giving the phone new hardware). I think that upgrade to Android 4.2.2 might have caused my problem, but it was such a long time ago that I don't remember now (I don't use/need WiFi that much, mobile data internet is enough for me).
What I've tried so far:
-rebooting phone and router obviously
-factory formatting the phone
-WiFi analyzer app
-changing all the network parameters and re-setting it up
-WPS connecting
-playing with all the WiFi settings on my phone (proxy settings, ip settings, wifi optimization and other)
-finally, today I unlocked bootloader, rooted and installed custom ROM hoping it'd help (but it didn't and now I lost my warranty lol)
What I have:
HTC One X Endeavor
Android 4.2.2 HTC Sense 5.0
Android Revolution HD 33.1
3.1.10-g7f360be Kernel version
TP-LINK
N750 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router
Model No. TL-WDR4300
I'm thinking about installing other ROM, some that works on Android 4.0 or KitKat, could it help?
Oh, and I should add that two different notebooks, Galaxy S4, S3 mini, Xperia X10 and a tablet all work fine with this network :>
I can provide any screenshots, photos, names of devices etc., just tell me what is needed.
HELP!
I have a similar problem with my device, but I just reset my router and it's fine. Maybe your problem is that your phone doesn't receive an ip address. You can check out if you have received an address via settings->wi-fi-> advanced, and check the 'ip address'. If it says ' not available, reset your router and your phone's wi-fi until you get one.

Nopes, IP reception is fine. Here are all my settings:
Status: Connected
Signal strength: Excellent
Link speed: 26Mbps
Security: WPA/WPA2 PSK
IP address: 192.168.0.101
Proxy settings: None
IP settings: DHCP
As I said earlier, I have been playing with all the network settings above as well as with the phone WiFi advanced settings and it didn't change anything.
Hm…it may be a hardware problem.

[Q] Unable to connect to WiFi

I recently installed KitKat 4.4.2 XXUENC2 on my Note 3, and I didn't notice if it hasn't since, but I can't connect to my three WiFi's anymore. For some time it was stuck in a loop where it try's to obtain a ip address over and over again. When there is two known networks available it tries to connect and then say's "Network disabled because Internet connection is slow", although it is a very fast connection and then it say's "Failed to obtain IP". I've tried three different routers, which I can connect to with my laptop no problem and they were all working when I had 4.3 on the Note 3.
I've tried Wifi Fixer and WiFix, and I can't find anything on google.
Where is the problem here?
Did you try to reset the router?
That'slow internet' error message is an annoying feature that serves no purpose whatsoever. Ignore it.

Hi thank's. I tried to reset the router but as I found out it was the same for all my Wifi's I don't think it's the problem. Read somewhere that wifi can stop working on some updates. I have since re-installed the os/flashed my phone and now it's working again. I haven't rooted my phone, so if it is the cause and it stops working when I do, I will report back.

Internet Unavailable, The Internet is unavailable with a Wifi Connection

Hey Guys,
Got my V20 yesterday. When I connect to my office Wifi, (Both 2GHz and 5GHz bands), it connects successfully but I then get a popup saying "Internet Unavailable - The internet is unavailable with a Wifi Connection <Connection_Name>"
Office ISP - Starhub Singapore
Home ISP - Singtel Singapore
Phone Model - H990ds
Note: Works fine with my home connection. On both frequencies.
Only thing I can think of is you need to sign in with your company Wi-Fi password. I get the same issues at my work Wi-Fi. Once I input the password everything connects fine.

There is no Company WiFi password We just need to connect to the network and that's about it.
Sorry I can't think of any other reason why it doesn't work then.

Okay so I managed to solve this problem
For those who might face the same issue, these are the steps I took:
-> Forget WiFi network giving issues.
->Settings -> General -> Backup and Reset -> Reset Network Settings
->Restart the device
->Try connecting to the network again and Voila!
