Maybe not at all updates, but some of them can be port .
I really don't think we can ask a manufacturer to support an 18 months old device. The 2011 range will likely not be supported either after this point because Sony Ericsson recently committed to supporting devices for 18 months (as long as the hardware is capable) but not beyond.

Hi all, I have been reading about the ICS update due for the arc s soon and people wondering how the performance will be on a 2011 phone, but I am wondering, of all the 2011 handsets by Sony, which ones should handle it best?

I think the Arc S will handle it the best, mainly because of the 1.4ghz clocked processor.

Not bad! I hope their price will make them a potent enemy of the samsung's budget phones. Sony should make a them cheap, because not too many people buys their phone, even if these got the best value/price ratio in the market. Go sony!

They are all low end devices, so yea the price will be very low.
The Tipo makes me feel more attached to my old and lovely x8, if only it hadnt had so little ram...
I think it's a good move releasing this kind of low-spec devices. Sony needs to improve his marketsare.
But ICS on that specs, and so many problems on good xperia 2011 line?
Will these phone be priced between new X8 and 2011 minis? 2011 minis already got price drop don't they?
xperia tipo is awsome
All the new cheap SE phones have the same specs.. 800MHz and 512 of ram. Both xperia and walkman.
I actually like the xperia U for its 1Ghz dual core and cheap price.

Xperia U is super cheap for what it is. I'm actually thinking about getting it now I've seen the price.

It's 200€ in my country.. I payed 150€ for the x8 when the price dropped for the first time i think, so yes, i find it cheap.
EDIT: I just don't like the fact that it comes with 4GB of storage but with no micro sd slot...

I own xperia z purchased in April from snapdeal, well maintained by a doctor, No problems n perfectly working phone.
I am kinda too intrested in xperia z1 if any1 from India is ready for switching phone pls pm me.

This is against the XDA Global Rules, so I'd advise you use ebay or something. I see you have a blog, why not call Sony and ask for a Z1 for review, then use it?
