Not bad! I hope their price will make them a potent enemy of the samsung's budget phones. Sony should make a them cheap, because not too many people buys their phone, even if these got the best value/price ratio in the market. Go sony!

They are all low end devices, so yea the price will be very low.
The Tipo makes me feel more attached to my old and lovely x8, if only it hadnt had so little ram...
I think it's a good move releasing this kind of low-spec devices. Sony needs to improve his marketsare.
But ICS on that specs, and so many problems on good xperia 2011 line?
Will these phone be priced between new X8 and 2011 minis? 2011 minis already got price drop don't they?
xperia tipo is awsome
All the new cheap SE phones have the same specs.. 800MHz and 512 of ram. Both xperia and walkman.
I actually like the xperia U for its 1Ghz dual core and cheap price.

It's 200€ in my country.. I payed 150€ for the x8 when the price dropped for the first time i think, so yes, i find it cheap.
EDIT: I just don't like the fact that it comes with 4GB of storage but with no micro sd slot...

if you already have the X10, then you should go for the play
wow congrats that is awesome!!
Definitely arc, play has a horrid screen and I think the novelty would wear off quickly
And don't forget that the strips that slide the keypad out wears out fast.
If you get a play you are risking some mechanical damage since the strips are the weak spots of the phone =/
+1 for the Arc =D, hopefully they already have CWM and CM7 working lol

sgs2 is a freakin' powerhouse
I like the play.. the line up of games looks good.
I have not seen the screen, but i really love the controls.
I am a psp fan.. but i would rather get a psp2 for that.
I would prefer a device with the Dual Core Tegra Chipset with the play's Dual Analog Touch Pads.
So my vote is on nothing right now.
Haha, yeah I wish they were dual core, but its a FREE phone lol. So which one do you think I should get?

Nice decison... the SGS2 is a beast of a phone!
Choose between the arc and play, get whichever one is more expensive so that you can sell it for more.
If they are the same price, go with the arc. Its a beauty.

Well if SE sell this thing in 2012 or even late,it will lose to a quad-core phone!

The thing is my dual core sgs does everything almost instantly. I don't see the need for quad cores honestly. We just cannot play WOW on it
Btw I do think that sony will catch up abit this year cuz a lot of people are looking for hardware but design and build quality as well

Yup it will always be behind Sony needs something new! Like 12 MP rear and 5 front, 4.5 screen 3D camera Quad core 16gig int memory Then I would buy another Sony phone until then I'm going to wait for the iphone 5 or gs3

I don't think we can judge yet. The pictures only show the screen. You don't see the whole profile of the phone. So, I would not jump to conclusions yet.

thats super spec for high end phone...and i think the price for it is high to, dont you think..maybe more expensive than iphone4s or a laptop maybe....can a phone be stable with a spec like that....? well, if its doable and buyerble..maybe i will consider...hmmm but the phone must be great to look at..if its just the same design as SGS2, just a square thing but no taste, whats the point....
I am pretty amazed by the specs and the design on the backdoor since sony bough se I feel like their gonna have more nice things to come if this phones turns out real and comes out ill do an upgrade for suure !

well, since i'm not getting a new phone before 2013, this should be just nice to see what comes next
hoping that 2013 flagship phone will come at least with a quadcore processor, more RAM, flash memory(I REALLY DISLIKE memory cards), more communication between other sony products such as TV, Tablet, VAIO, PS3, HomeTheater and even with the CarNav they sell would be nice (like tethering a-gps signal to the unit, etc) for the camera sincerly I dont mind, the actual Arc camera fits just nice to me, but as someone here said, it would be nice if that were placed more at the center, I always have some problems with my finger when I take photos with the Xperia Arc

yes, it's cheap, most probably because HTC thought that it will be bestseller, but nobody wanted it and HTC had already produced many components and they need to sell it out

I don't think Galaxy Mini has the specs compared to X8..It might have the same fitures not all but same..but it has different hardware which I think X8 is better..remember how much did you buy your x8? Compare it with how much does Galaxy Mini cost when it was first released..Much cheaper right? For me price shows the quality not the quantity..But of course it's me..don't know with you..

NO!! Dont you dare do it! My friend has it and it is total cr*p. The camera is very very very bad , sound is bad , display too! Only thing nice is Design and dual touch.
also it is qvga...
Do not do it.xperia is better.it has slightly bigger screen,but ****ty graphics,bigger amount of ram,but it doesnt show very much.so no.dont.xperia is much better.

No ! Xperia may be old. It may have less ram. It has been officially dumped by its own manufacturers. It may not have real dual touch...but just know that SGM is bad badder than bad (gotta love awesome grammar )

I own both (x8 and Mini) and DONT BE FULLISH! Even SGM have better specs like 384mb of ram, kernel 2.6.35.7-perf, multitouch and official gingerbread x8 is MUCH BETTER PHONE! samsung is sooo damn boring!

+1 to all. better pick another. SGM suxass. I switched phone with my cousins SGM for a day, I find that x8 is much better in screen dpi, sounds, camera, and interface. furthermore TimescapeUI is much better than TouchWiz imho

Anyway, if I get the Mini for free, I will be using it (I hope I will get it). I will sell my X8 if that happens. My friend had Samsung Galaxy i5500 GT, it's almost the same as Mini and the gaming performance was very good, but the screen quality on X8 is better.

i hawe about month sgm first sgm has screen 3,14'' and x8 has 3' screen for me sound its beter in sgm more costumizable rom like squadzone cm7 .ithing sgm its beter . if you wana now about mini forum that the same like here many unusles post and trolls
Xperia x8 is better, with higher resolution and 16M color display, galaxy mini only have 256k color display
