[Q] Putting Note II back inside the box - Galaxy Note II General

Hi!
Thinking of buying the Note 4 when it gets released, but I still want to keep my Note II and place it back inside the box. Question is should I remove the battery from the phone or just leave it inside the phone? Which option is better for my phone & battery???

Take battery out of box.

buying a new battery & back cover

hey there'
my back glass is broken but it doesn't bother me
but the battery is malfunctioning and so i've thought if i change the battery i might as well change the back glass as well.
but the problem is ... money ofc...
i wonder 2 things:
1. if it's possible to change the battery and return the broken glass back into place. or it will shatter when i remove it.
2. if it's even worthy to replace these 2 items , thinking that maybe a new device is more worthy? anyway i have already switched the front screen - got broken - ofc i wouldn't change it if i knew these extra 2 parts would malfunction as well.
last thing is , if i decide to switch these 2 parts .
where would i buy them?
i found this 2 options:
1. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/100-...Case-Housing-repair-Part-Full/1481971056.html
2. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-LG-...538?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a81771e2a
thanks for your help

adhesive inside brand new Note 4

today I desided to buy a Note 4 again..
when i would insert the battery i noticed that the BLACK area where the battery goes, there was som left over adhesive, not much but it was there..
I decided to return it and got a new one.. then again when putting in the battery now on the black edge on the left side in the battery area there was a small amount of adhesive...
I never experienced this on a samsung product before...

On my note under battery there is a samsung sticker with emei, model number etc and another color changing water sensitive indicator.

Battery: Tell us what version of Android you're running. Also tell us what apps you had running. One or more of them is the source of your battery drain.
Screen: The shopkeeper is right. If you have no touch capability then the screen will have to be replaced in its entirety.

i have touch capability where im using lots of things in my phone and im running lollipop 5.01 now 5.1.1 from resurrection rom
The screen comes in two parts: glass and digitizer/display. The glass is bonded to the display with optical adhesive. If the glass is broken but the display is intact, a repair center with the right tools can remove the broken glass and replace it with new glass. Just don't try doing it yourself.
Now that I understand things a bit better, it sounds as if the guy you took it to was looking to make extra cash off you by trying to get you to replace the screen instead of repair it. Honestly, buying a screen/midframe combination is a better alternative to glass replacement. It's easy enough that even you could do it, since you're only transferring parts from your device over to the new screen/midframe and reassembling the S4.

Galax Note 3 and Galaxy S4 in water

I hope that I can properly explain my issue this time and hope to get a response this time. A friend of mine had brought to me his galaxy note 3 that was dropped by his son in water and I have myself the wife's S4 that was also dropped in water. My S4 I put it in the rice and few days later it was back alive but then after few months the phone would start but you cant see anything on the screen. THE SCREEN WAS TOTALLY BLACK. I thought the screen had died but it is flickering when I turn on the phone While my friend's note 3 after he put it in rice we can also hear it turning on but also the screen is black but no screen flickering in the case of note 3. S4 can be read by the phone and can get info and backup. Note 3 undetectable by the PC and cant get info out. does anybody have a diagnosis for both devices. If so what are the remedies that we can use. The S4 might not be that needed since I have extracted all the relevant information and have a new device. But the Note 3 is the main device since my friend also needs the info on the phone and he is welling to forget about the phone if phone is unrepairable
Can I kindly request your assistance with the 2 devices

Tried it but no go
I once dropped my Moto X in water, then switched it off and kept it in Sunlight for a day and turned it on. It was good.
put it in a bag of (uncooked) rice for a week or more... That should absorb any moisture....
