Thanks for much more models. I am on it and add those to the OP. If you find a tech sheet for those devices, would be really great. I did not find technical data for all devices.

Yes, indeed. Afaik that's true. I added the internal memory and RAM to the devices, where I know the technical data. If you find any further information, I appreciate you post some links in here

Any further informations about this? Links or so? Or is it also not released in the US and we just have to wait until their announcement?

Based on this info the nice thing is if you are on AT&T and want easy access to a 32gb version you can just buy a T-Mobile LG G3 and unlock it for use on AT&T.

Yup, that should be the case. And with 1700/2100 support, it'll definitely be a better alternative to the F400S/K/L.

Will the D855 variant (with LTE 700MHz) be able to use on AT&T (band class 17) or Verizon (band class 13)?
Or to be more specific, will the D855 cover all 700MHz US band class (12, 13, 14, and 17)?
Thanks!

Does this mean att will ONLY receive the 16gb model?!?!?!?!
I don't want to pay full price for a T-Mobile version....
Please tell me this isn't true.

Any US model info in this thread is pure speculation at this point. It should be all taken with a grain of salt until announcements are made.
No need to get worked up, or upset, until something official comes out.

I agree in general, though PDA is usually pretty good of keeping track of this in the past. Something as example compelled them to update the Verizon model from 3/32 to 2/16. Why bother if they did not get some new info? Superfluous if not the case here.
Probably at least another week to find out. All I know is the only carrier so far to note a 3/32 is Tmo and a Best Buy manager that trains their regional mobile product staff said Tmo has temporary 3/32 exclusivity. He was correct on the S3, S4 and S5 as well as the G2.
IF (big if) true, the other carriers would not even bother getting a 3/32 once the launch window is done. Given the lack of 32GB options for the S5, I could easily see no 3/32 option for at least Verizon. They would continue misleading about the micro sd expansion and imply for apps as well.

I agree that it all COULD be true. I just don't see a point in speculating. We'll know facts soon enough.

I want a Korean S3 with 2GB RAM and quadcore!!

Indulge me.
The Korean SGS3 comes with 2GB RAM and the quadcore Exynos 4412 chip:
http://phandroid.com/2012/06/08/sk-telecoms-galaxy-s-iii-merges-quad-core-cpu-and-2gb-ram/
South Korea uses 2100Mhz HSPA band - as does the UK where I live.

What's stopping me from (somehow) buying a Korean one and importing it for use here in the UK?
Also, any ideas how I would even go about buying something from Korea??

Willing to bet, the Korean version won't use a Micro-Sim that GSM carriers use, as they're network SK Telecom if i recall does not require the use of sim cards. Also chances are the Korean version will be locked to region specific carriers there.
Don't go for it. Their will be a lot of issues with it. Also very bad developer support, worse than American version.
There may be other hardware compatibility issues with your network.

Can't you just buy off-contract sim-free handsets, like you could here in the UK? Not attached/locked to a network?

Quite a lot of the new smartphones in Korea come with usim cards..
Don't ask me the finer details.
There are 3 major carriers in SK, two of them operate WCDMA networks.
I would not go for this phone. Like somebody else said, bad developer support.

You mean that ugly stock battery percentage that appears next to the battery icon and takes up additional space? If you have noticed, I do not have any app but actually a circles mod that can display battery percentage within the battery icon.
For the dev support I disagree, it seems they will get the same hardware as the int version only more ram and LTE support so int roms shouln'd be hard to port, am I wrong?

Speaking form experience the SIM card issue is no longer a problem, Korean phones now use SIM cards, all carriers here ( SK, KT, LG all use SIM cards)
All Android phones here as of today (SGS3 is still unknown) are sold carrier unlocked, I've used my Korean issue GalaxyS (m110s) in various countries with no issue (India/China/UK)
Problem with the Korean version is that' you'll lose FM functionality and gain a useless DMB (TV) chip instead, also it's dimensions are ever slightly larger, so getting nice cases might be slightly harder, or you'll have to order from Korea, not impossible though.
Phones can be bought off the shelf here, they're just more expensive than in Europe/US
I'm pretty sure the american version dev support will be just as good as the international.

I wonder what reason Telus, Fido, Virgin and Wind. will give for not carrying it probably moving to Iphone only
Fido and Virgin doesn't release HTC flagships as well because these are low end subsidiaries of Rogers and Bell. Wind is a very different story as it's AWS and not every OEM supports it.
So Samsung and iPhones are the favorites among all.

Highly doubt it. Rogers still has the GS5 listed at $699 and that's for a 16GB version with a 1080p screen.

Sadly as always Canadians have to wait till Aug while the AT&T guys already have the device.

Seem that the North American will not have the wireless built in finally?
So i suspect that the Canadians variant will be the same since at&t have generally the same device than rogers and bell....anyway we'll see...i'm on a decision if i will pull the trigger or not....
If i were to buy the device outright, would it be better to wait for it to come out in Canada or just buy an international/us version?

the problem with the d-855 (international version) is that you will not be able to catch the lte network on att wich mean on robellus will be the same....sure it has the 700 frequency but not on the 17 band...IMO when your paying 600/700.00 for a phone like the g3, its a must to have LTE on it.....this is why you should wait for the Canadians variant or simply buy the at&t versions, wich gonna be the same..however the Canadians carrier don't have the bad habit to put their ugly logo on their phone wich is nice

the at&t variant D800 was the exact same phone then the Canadians variant D803....the D801 variant is the exact same phone that videotron is using...its just a matter of frequency....this is why I beleave that the g3 at&t version D850 gonna be the exact same phone then the Canadians variant D852....with many band supported....the D850 is compatible on lte Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 17, and 29....it gonna work even with the lte on T-Mobile...so

Latest news about availability for US and Canada xda members

To keep it short:
1. The international version of MT7-TL10 still does not support FDD B4, aka AWS, NA specific LTE for T-Mobile, ATT, Verizon, etc.
2. There is no release date for NA, due to CPU. Hisilicon Kirin CPU is prohibited entering the NA market.
3. The international model MT7-L09 supports AWS network.
We will have no further news about Mate 7 for NA xda members in the future. If you are looking for L09, we can bring that to NA if you are interested in.
The most accurate resource to check the compatibility here:
FCC LTE Dashboard
I just wanted to make sure I understood, so you're saying the 3Gb RAM models will not work on the AWS bands?
The MT7-L09 only seems to the 2Gb model.
@H. Clarkson
We got the international MT7-TL10 already. that comes with the identical frequency bands as that of Chinese version.
It seems that only the L09 will work in NA.

This is a special order we exclusively have from HUAWEI (it is not supposed to be sold in China). Since we are not positive how many USA and Canada xda members would order from us, we only book 5 units for the initial dispachment. The Obsidain Black unit (only one unit) has already been booked by a xda developer member here. The Moonlight Silver unit is ready to be booked. The shipment will arrive at our store on Tuesday and we can ship it on Wednesday. If you are a T-Mobile user, L09 is ready to fly! If you are a ATT user, it is fine as well, we think, since it covers AWS LTE.
Our business is based in China and therefore foreign buyers do not pay sales tax to our Government. The special price in our store is set for USA and Canada members, DHL Express included. It takes no more than 4 business days to arrive at USA.

2 vs 3 GB RAM and 16 vs. 32 GB ROM. The RAM makes a difference for heavy users, and L10 will soon support two independent Android systems.
So another 5 units (all black) are arriving this Friday.
mate 7 from amazon US legit?
This 3rd party seller is selling on Amazon US and claims LTE should work on AT&T with these LTE bands:
LTE FDD Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28 (Aphase) LTE TDD Band 40 UMTS 850/900/1900/2100/AWS MHZ .
Is this legit? If phone does have these bands, does that mean it should work on Tmobile USA also?

LTE FDD Band 1/2/3/4/5/7/8/20/28 (Aphase) LTE TDD Band 40 UMTS 850/900/1900/2100/AWS MHZ .
Is this legit? If phone does have these bands, does that mean it should work on Tmobile USA also?

The fact that you don't have to deal with customs and the high shipping rates is enough for me.. I ordered one today and will have it Wednesday.. If it doesn't work with at&t lte I'll send it back.. $549 flat is a chance I'll take..

Hi, getmobilephone. I made an order through your LeHarbour website, but need to cancel my order. It's not going to ship until Wednesday. Thank you.

We have refunded you the full amount.
@l81tlons If that third party seller labels the model (for instance, L09) that will clear the question you have. From what we see on their page, we guess that is L09. That is a "small family owned" (their own description) company but that worth a try if you get the Amazon protection.
We just want to mention that, if any business company is to bring over 20+ phones to USA for commercial sales, a commercial importation tax is unavoidable and that company has to voluntarily report to USA customs. At that price offered from that third party seller, we can only think the commercial importation tax is avoided by some "unconventional" means, of which we cannot do and will not do in the future. Please forgive us for the "high", or regular, price. We run legal business for over 14 years.
For ATT network, if you consider HSPA+ as a part of LTE, yes you will get it. However, it depends on the region, and in some regions, you get full LTE and in some, drop to HSPA+, which is still fast. Give that third party seller a minute, not returning the phone if you cannot receive LTE in your region. We have sort of sympathy for them.
If USA and Canada xda members have further questions, please leave your comments here and @ us. We will check and answer periodically.
Have a nice day everyone here!

Thank you. :good:
I'm planning on using this phone on Wind Mobile here in Canada (if I can decide between this and another phone).
Wind Mobile runs on UMTS IV frequency band (HSPA/HSPA+ AWS frequency 1700/2100). But if this phone runs on T-Mobile then it's guaranteed to run on Wind also.
I'm also seeing one seller on Amazon Canada but it's only for the 16GB MT7-UL00.
Will I get "4G" with any model, or is this phone bound to 3G on the AWS band? If the better model you're offering can do 4G here then I'm interested in a 32GB ROM/3GB RAM version also, but I won't be buying one for a couple weeks yet, have to sell my Note3. Cheers!

We have sold an unit to Canada, and it is guaranteed to work with LTE there.
If it is UL00, it does NOT support LTE, even 3G, in Canada. You have to buy the L09 model, L09 we repeat. You can purchase from us (readily available) or from Amazon USA, whichever you trust and/or more convenient for you.
We had the international TL10 (3/32) but it does not support AWS. Therefore, if you are to purchase a fully functional Mate 7, then L09 model is the only choice for you.
The Amazon seller posted above does list the device as the L09. I lost interest for a while because Huawei couldn't seem to get their act together and actually sell the phone. But that is a good price from that Amazon seller, so I may just pull the trigger.

1GB memory!!!

Just received a G4 play from Amazon advertised as 2Gb ram, it's only got 1GB ram... I didn't know they came with 1GB. Are there 2 different models?
Sending this one back.
Sent from my HTC 10 using XDA-Developers mobile app
Are you in the US or Canada? I ask because I read the only the 16gb/2gb model is coming to North America. Also, the phone won't even be released until Sept. 15. on Amazon.
There is a 8gb/1gb international model. It probably won't have NA LTE bands.
You got snubbed. Only the North American version has 16 and 2.
I have 16gb and 2gb memory. Moto G Play (XT1607) This one from Europe CE0168 / United States of America FCC ID: IHDT56VD6 Weird that this phone have two countries.

The LG V20 H990 is cheaper than other models. Why?

Looking at pricing on ebay and other online retailers, the dual sim LG V20 H990DS is selling at a lower price than the single sim variants.
Aside from being dual sim, is there any other difference between the H990DS and other variants?
Is there any reason not to buy the H990DS?

Well, you could be like the other 6-10 Americans on this board with a single sim T-mobile variant which (correct me if wrong) has its bootloader unlocked and root available. The LG dev community seems (to me) uninspired and, for lack of a better word, a bit too lazy to explore the models (like H990DS) which are used more commonly throughout the global market.
To answer your question, WHY NOT buy it:
- There's no root for H990DS
- Dev community for LG "deosn't really exist"
- Bootloader isn't and will probably never be, unlocked
Other differences? Compare on GSMarena. Keep in mind they aren't always accurate specs.

additionally , you dont get any warranty on those models since they are shipped from Korea. So that makes it cheaper as well because they are selling phones without warranty.
FYI: I bought this model for $630 from amazon and it shipped from Korea and it came with headphones in box!

Is the H990DS one of the B&O tuned variants with the B&O logo on the back or is it an LG tuned variant?
Did you receive B&O H3 headphones or just a normal set of LG headphones?
I would like to be able to unlock the bootloader but I can live without it. Having dual sim and lower price are higher priority for me as long as there are no other differences.
I'd hate to find out that my phone is missing the quad DAC or some other imporant features that make the LG v20 special and which are included with the single sim models.

This model is tuned by B&O and has logo at the back. Mine came with B&O headphones.
see this video:
This is the same version I have
Another thing to note is that the bands on this version are different to some US variants. For example, I am on tmobile and this model has mostly all bands 2,4,12 (but not the newer 66) and it is missing some bands for AT&T. Also, this model is gsm only
I too can live without the bootloader, but root is critical. Checkout the other threads on page 1 or 2 in this board or the others, I've created a bounty thread to see if any dev will take the bat and actually develop something. Certainly worth contributing to and paying for if its released for this mode, H990DS

Are the missing att bands problematic for using Cricket now or in the near future? Will the 990ds allow WiFi calling on Cricket?
Thanks!

There is no wifi calling in this model. Cricket is cdma network so I am not sure this model will work on it
