Hello.
As you can see, I'm quite in a pickle, as my AT&T Galaxy S4 on MF3 did not like me trying to flash a custom recovery (PhilZ) ...Is there any way to fix this? Kies won't recognize my phone through USB.

Flash the full MF3 firmware through Odin and it should fix the recovery

Thank you very much, but it seems that rebooting it from Download Mode did the trick.

With me not reading about Samsung latest OTA locked bootloader , I rooted my phone, installed TWRP and now I'm stuck at a soft brick at the flash screen.
I can boot into TWRP recovery, but after trying to flash Cyanogenmod, my phone hangs at the Samsung Galaxy S4 splash screen.
I read about a method via ODIN to 'fix' the soft boot, but how can I flash a new ROM on that will work?
Thanks for the help guys, I'm dreading telling my wife I bricked my phone.
Check out this thread. Might be of help

Thanks, but the issue is I don't currently have any OS/ROM installed. My phone is completely wiped. When I try to flash my Cyanogenmod nightly with TWRP, my phone restarts and gets stuck at the Galaxy S4 splash screen.

Sounds dreadful you might have to join the others in waiting for a new kies firmware to recover the device back to stock.

You should have read a little before trying to root and put on a recovery. You can't put on a recovery and flash roms with the mf3 OTA. You now have a very expensive paper weight. Congratulations! Patience and hope are your best options.

JD, thanks. As I said, I didn't realize there was an OTA update.
Febby, thanks for the positive response. I'll keep an eye out for a Kies update.

That's your best bet. Once Samsung adds MF3 or a higher firmware to kies for the i337... You'll hopefully be able to recover it via emergency mode.

Doesnt sound like you were on mf3...try odin
If you were on mf3 you would never be able to even boot into twrp to flash anything...
So start over with odin
Read up on loki
Either get loki doki and flash after every rom flash or grt an auto loki recovery

That is exactly what I think. Flashing a custom recovery is impossible on MF3. Dude just forgot to loki it.
Can I install the I-9505 firmware on a MF3 rooted? How?
Thanks,
Caio.
No, because there is no recovery method exploit for those on MF3 firmware at the moment. Track the progress here. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43890414

Not happening. You can't install a custom recovery, nor ROM. Please don't try to install a custom recovery anyway, it will destroy your factory recovery and you will not be able to get it back until the devs here come up with a solution (which could be a long time). Your absolutely stuck with rooted MF3, no exceptions at this time that me or anyone else on this forum is aware of.
Not no, but NO, and if you figure a way, android is looking to hire you....
ok, thanks for all
Hello community I am sort of in a panic because my new S4 is now paperweight. I STUPIDLY in safestrap thought if I remove my stock rom I can get more memory for my ROM, now it is in an endless cycle of staying on the samsung logo (custom).
What I tried:
- Odin Pit recovery method for i337, (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2404970)
- Kies Emergency recovery just froze after decrypting and the device when plugged in woulg not be shown on kies it would constantly try to connect.
-Factory reset in recovery menu
I REALLY don't know what to do now and it is 4:00 AM for me as I type this. The only solution I think is possible is to try odin a different way.:crying:
I do believe that you are in the wrong forum. This is for the Sprint variation of the S4.

You are correct.
I don't know anything about safestrap so I really can't lend any info. So OP you should go.to your correct gs4 variant thread and ask there.

I have Samsung Galaxy SGH-i337(AT&T) which I rooted and tried adding a twrp custom recovery which sent the phone into ODIN download. I was able to unbrick with flashing the 4.4.2 kit leak. The problem now is, it's not really the kitkat OS but still 4.3 which the phone came with but in about device settings it says 4.4.2. My question is, how can I get it back to the original OS 4.3? I have looked everywhere for on the internet for a stock 4.3 rom to no avail. Tried factory rest that does not work. I can however find stock 4.2.2 rom for my phone, can I flash it? Need help!!!!!
You should search and read before doing anything.

Google mk2 Odin tar files xda
Never mind.
Hello, I have a Galaxy s5 SM-G900H , It was running on lollipop, then I downgraded it to kitkat by flashing the firmware via Odin, works like a charm
But when I wanted to root(Which I reaaaally need to) my phone gets stuck at boot, accessing recovery is impossible for some reason, the only solution was to flash back the kitkat stock, and again...rooting bricks it over and over again
PS: no errors shown in Odin
A little help would be really appreciated
Thank you for your time, I'm looking forward for your replies
Have a nice day
Use Towelroot
Might need to downgrade the Kernel to a pre-June 2014 KK Kernel first if the ROM is newer than that
you might be flashing cf root for lollipop... you need to flash root that supports kitkat.
Factory reset go back to kk and try afain
