Is anyone else having really bad problems with the talk to text feature on the s5? I came from the s3 and it was amazing (the talk to text feature) I rely heavily on it for texting and emails.
However with the s5 almost everything is wrong or garbled. I have rebooted and did a battery pull. I really can't think of anything else to do.
I am rooted if that helps.

I've used it a few times and it has worked great. This was after rooting.

Its weird, I haven't had this problem on any other android phone, its happened twice in the last 24 hours. I'm completely stock. Unrooted

I can count on one hand the number of phone calls I've been on since I got the thing, but I haven't had it shut down on me any of those times.
I've had it happen every time when rooted and had apps. I went back to no apps and still had it happen. I went back to stock 2.3.1 via the nandroid around here and locked it back up, still doing it.
The only thing I didn't test was 2.3 vs 2.3.1 but I do believe it started happening to me, at least, when going to 2.3.1, now that I think about it.
I have this problem but rarely. It will reboot the phone show the nexus startup screen without the backlit LED. Is that whats happening to you?

Same here, and I have used every T-Mobile Android phone to date, never seen anything like this before! This is the only phone I haven't rooted yet, not sure what the issue is...
It only happened once so I didn't think anything of it.
I didn't know it was a common problem.
Btw I will be exchanging my phone cuz this one has done really annoying bugs, like freezing in between homescreen slides and apps constantly fc during use

ya i havent made very many calls, but thats why it kind of concerns me. i have probablly made 10 calls and i think its rebooted 3-4 times while on the call or at the end of the call. i wonder if its a bug with the phone app?
did you root the phone or something ? if its still on stock firmware like how you bought it, then try to restore factory sittings, if its still doing that you then you have a I/O chip problem. and you will need to replace your phone.
thats what the HTC care told me when my HD2 used to have this issue

I would believe it was hardware if it happened randomly, but for phone calls only, that sounds like software.

Happened to me just now. Stock 2.3.1 with an international call.
I'm not rooted, I just cleared data for the dialer app and cleared cache on the whole system, we'll see if that does anything. Good thing I rarely use my phone for making calls or I'd be pissed

Howdy all,
I'm still on DI01, and lately I've been randomly losing all of my SMS history. Is this a common problem? Does anyone have any idea about why it is happening?
Thanks

I've had it happen randomly about 5 times since I've gotten the phone in October, running DI01. I would receive a text, and when I went to view it, it was the only one in my inbox. I never bothered to look up what caused it so I'm not sure. You're not alone though.

Maybe your girlfriend (or wife) is deleting your messages because she's either spying on your messages and you're receiving something she doesn't like, or she's using your phone to text someone and then deleting the evidence.
I know, it's very unlikely that this is the case.. but since I am a very paranoid person and would probably consider the possibility if my messages were being randomly deleted, I thought maybe I could plant some seeds of doubt and paranoia for you as well.
You know.. the whole "misery loves company" thing.

Haha yea that actually was the case with my insane ex (never trust a red head) but that was an LG Dare, feature phone. My girlfriend now can barely play abduction on my fascinate... That and it happened while she was 400 miles away... Hah! But I understand the paranoia ;-)

Hey guy, I have the N4 for tmobile and I have had problems with people calling and not getting though it just sends them straight to voice mail and not pop up to notify me and not ring but when I call out the voicemail pop's up. Anyone having this problem?

I am having this issue as well. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen

Yeah, I think it happens mostly when I leave it alone for a bit.

Bump. Anyone else have this problem? Sometimes I don't get texts and calls go straight to voicemail, I have to restart my phone and that fixes it for a while. It happens randomly. Haven't figured out a pattern yet.
I have had this happen a couple times on both of my Nexus 4 devices.
I have had this happen in the morning. Not sure if it is carrier dependent. I am with Wind.
Yeah happend to me twice !
Same here, T-Mobile in Florida

I'm on T-Mo in VA and the latest CM10.1 nightly and it seems like my phone almost never rings. I am constantly getting "Missed call" notifications. And despite having Google Voice installed, the only messages I get are from the T-Mo VM. Weird....
This has been happening to my wifes Nexus 4 but not mine. It usually only happens in the mornings when the phone has been sitting for a while, after she restarts it, it seems to work fine. Does anyone know a fix for this???
This was happening to me a lot at first, I went to tmobile and got a new mini sim card b/c i cut my old one down and know it seems fine b/c im not waking up to voice mails and no miss calls.

when i text my girlfriend the goodnight messgaes, you know like every good boyfriend does, she says that they break down into smaller messages and arent in order either so it takes her awhile to read them. The same goes on my end, her messgages are the same way. If anybody can help me please. She has a verizon iphone 4 and i have the at&t galaxy s4. I factory restored today and that didnt help anything.
Tell her its because its an iPhone.

My girlfriend and I are on the exact same phones and services with the same issue. It can take some time to make sense when a large messages comes through as 3 or 4 jumbled.
That's what I told her Yankee. And do you know how to fix it?

look in settings or use a diff app.
Is anyone else not able to get this app to load?
I have the $2.99 per month service enabled and was working on my Note 3 earlier (granted it was an older app).
I just cannot get this app to load no matter what, it keeps spinning at the splash screen and never goes further (already tried clearing data/cache for the app many times).
Anyone else seeing the same issue?
How can i found it now ?
Well what do you know, all of the sudden it started working. I think Verizon turned on some service on the backend because I swear I've been at this all day yesterday.
App wouldn't work for 2 or 3 days then boom. It's on. Does anyone find that this service works good? I haven't gotten enough calls yet

I think it is bad app for Verizon. Coz..This app is the reason you get both WiFi and 4G icons on the notification bar.
