I have a problem when turning up the backlight of my D802.
it turns up until i reach approx. 40% and after that, the brightness doesn't increase
I am using manual backlight settings, and have tried updating the radio - as one guy recommended under this Youtube video. Nothing had any effect.
Another issue is that under software information it shows that I have 0gb memory (instead of the 32gb i should have....)
What is going on?
I am using KitKat 4.4.2
Version number: KOT49I.D80220d.bruce2728 (Do I need another?)

How are you measuring the battery usage? Is this with just the ROM, or have you installed any apps?
Any ROM will consume a bit after the first boot, and will settle to 1 - 5 mA eventually unless something is wrong.
I have installed Current widget from the market.....

there's quite a few threads on "battery drain" in HD2 / Android forum, right now cannot provide you with links but you'll definitely find sth, via forum browsing, search or google in xda,
afair one of the chief reasons was GPS location turned on, also some ROM used to have problems with BT in standby, for starters disable all sync / comm / location functions, then check the current and if it's ok start turning them one by one, with a few minutes of standby in between
Battery solved, Black Screen
OK, thank you for your help. I manage to get power consumtion of 6mA in st-by eith "Transformers" version of android from this forum but now i have problems with wakeing up my phone. I will ask here to avoid opening new thread. When My phone goes to sleep it happens that i can't wake-up him. Lights on buttons get light, but screen remain black. Only solution is to remove the battery. My Phone info is as follows:
HTC HD2 T-Mobile
OS version: 5.2.21892
Manila version: 2.5.20121412.2
ROM Version: 2.13.531.1
ROM Date: 4/28/10
Radio: 2.10.50.26
SD Card is ScanDisk 2 16GB
Thank you for help and patience...
Does somebody knows the answer to my problem, please....

don't know which build you're using, mine is ACA (SD), in some of the older builds sth similar used to happen, but usually most of the SOD's were shallow, so I was able to get out of them waiting 5-10 seconds between each attempt of unlocking the device, either using power button, of home/menu combo,
what helped for some users was setting the min CPU in Set CPU or CM Settings up from 128 to 245
When I was using SD based builds I have problems with battery drain as well. To solve the problem, power off your phone, power it on while holding the vol. down button, then pull batt and turn it on again. Then boot into Android through Haret. It worked for me, but it got irritating when I had to do that quite often. In the end I just switched to NAND builds, and I never had problems with battery drain since.
O and just btw cyberx85, I think normally we use a 2.15.xxx radio for the HD2. You can try these links on how to get that on your HD2.

I will try that.... Thanks
Hey guys,
I have had this 7.5 build for a while now and everything seemed fine to begin with. But now, within the last 3months or so, when ever I try to make a call, either 1) the phone freezes 2)the phone restarts itself straight away or 3)the call starts but I cant hear anything or see on the screen so I have to restart.
The battery also doesnt last more than 7-8 hours?! with all data settings, wifi, 3G off, brightness at the lowest, battery saver onand I even turn my phone off in the underground!
As a result I have to charge my phone to at least 60%-70% by 11pm otherwise my alarm work go off for work in the morning!
I am using the same radio version that came with the ROM, here are the details:
HTC schubert 7.5 build (os version 7.10.7740.16)
Radio software: 5.71.09.02a_22.51.50.21U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Firmware revision: 2250.09.07491.605
Hardware revision: 0002
I have seen some questions about the various combinations of radio and builds? but I am wondering why it freezes still Is it a problem with the phone internals more than software maybe?
Thanks for your help,
Marc
freeze, restarts and speed problems is related to incompatible sdcard
for better battery time you must use radio combination 2.15/5.51 or 2.12/5.51 with camera trick (you have 5.71... this is battery draining radio)
all this explained countless times on forum

Out of nowhere, my phone's screen has tarted to flicker. The brightness flickers and is very distracting. I've already tried to flash the latest OxygenOS available, but it hasn't worked.
Thing is, it flickers in both OOS and TWRP but it doesn't when booting up and in the bootloader.
Is it a hardware issue or there's a software fix?

Nope, in the end I had to RMA the phone.
I had to go through the hops from support, but they were certain it was a hardware fault, I had it fixed at no cost.
There can be two things, one's Adaptive Brightness which usually does that, check if you have it enabled, disable it.
Second thing can be CABC (Content Adaptive Backlight Control) which works as opt's lcd throttler. It throttles, i.e. puts the brightness to a bare minimum when the temperature of the screen exceeds a particular value.
Now disabling this isn't very productive and/or practical. But if you want it disabled you can flash cm13 (a custom rom). On cm13 I've realised it works only on temperatures more than 65-70*.
I suggest you to keep your opt cool as long as you can.
Mine started flickering just after I made a change in Settings, and it was Turning OFF Adaptive Brightness
Mine just started flickering after I didn't change anything at all. Never used adaptive brightness in my life.
I have XT1687 model with 4GB RAM and 64GB memory. Sometime I can see display flickering slightly. But when I lock my device and unlock again, flickering stop. I could not figure out the steps to reproduce this issue. Has anybody got similar issue or I am the only one here? Any fix available for this issue?
I have had the same issue on a XT1681 with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of Internal Storage.
Give a look at the possible solutions, what's left for me to do is a factory reset, but I don't have enough time to try that.

It happened to my xt1685 once or twice, and I found out that I can reproduce it. It only happens when brightness is on auto with the brightness slider in a precise position. I assume that it is the automatic brightness adjustment that changes the brightest quickly between 2 settings because it cannot decide which is best. Simply moving the slider a bit makes it stop happening.
It also happens with auto brightness turned off if you are able to point out that exact brightness level. Which according to me is between 3-10%
Never had the issue here.
64/4 US model here.
Have had phone (XT1687 4GB/64GB) for a few weeks. If I had to estimate, it's happened to me on average once a day w/auto brightness on. It's a bit annoying.
It could also be hardware issue, in which case it would be best to get the device replaced. I experienced the same issue, however I cannot reproduce it.
