4.3 features leaked[ probably these]

No idea when its releasing I guess Jan end ,but this is true ,features are leaked.

Whats game lag, why is it bravia engine 2 when it was suppose to be an upgrade going to x reality engine. I actually wish they would add a tweakable setting for x reality. Really like the color and contrast calibration but thing become pixelated and too sharp. And what was the battery problem?

I am not sure how relaiable is this but at first it looks like a minor update. There is no camera enhancements???

The lag could be a driver optimization, Final fantasy 4 lags a bit, but i could be fault of SE sucky developers for android

I haven't got full info about the update
I will try to find out about camera updates.
Depth variation means 3d visualization improved.

i think there will be some improvement bcos leaked images taken from z1s with 4.3 jellybean and with the same cam hardware has cam firmware as f400(from exif info) meanwhile we have f310 with the latest .257 firmware................so z1 will also be updated.

Yeah that is an interesting one, I think you will be waiting a while. Yes the CPU is capable but I don't believe that the internal USB interface is fast enough to cope with decent frame rates at 4k, because you will be wanting to save these to SD due to the size, and I don't think 10-12MB/s will cut it. Unless Sony can pull a rabbit out of the hat

It is most likely to be the Linux & Java memory management, and the garbage collection events causing micro pauses. I have one game which is pretty simple which has some lags on the Z1.

Its not the SD810 that overheats

Well today I installed the slyle potrait app which Sony finaly released, in two minutes I got the the notorious message saying that the camera will close if it keeps getting warm and after one more minute it closed. Could it be that the one to blame for the overheating is the camera software itself because I've never seen the message before and I've done some serious usage of the camera. I'll leave a link to the playstore so you can test it on your own!!! Any other thoughts would be much appreciated.

Its not only this app problem. Open camera and go to Effects, play with it for few sec and you gonna get message that phone is to hot...
Its actually hilarious that most of companies had time to create window with info about to "hot phone", instead of spending this few minutes thinking: "wait... we just created phone and app that get really hot making it no usable at all... maybe we should fix that? hmmm?"
I would not be mad if companies would spend this 2-3 months getting their balls together and make optimized phone and apps, instead of covering their failure behind window like "phone need to cool down... closing app"
Sad part is that its not only Sony problem, most of phones have this... No one give a flying crap to think about it and fix it...

I didn't say that the app is not good actually the effects are amazing but it is so frustrating that after 3 minutes the app closes

It never occurred to you that these apps are heavily using CPU and/or GPU?
Also, I did a heatsink mod (copper plating) inside my phone - kind of helps with heat still yet to post the photo guide though, will do it soon!

i use creative effects all the time and i never had any problem with the camera closing because of heat (you cant be serious that style potrait uses that much the cpu)

My back panel is unglued because of heat(i would like to say that it's joke but nope) so im gonna change it next month so I would like to se how you made that heatsink mod.
I did a lot of such mods in netbooks and laptops, but phone don't have much room for such mods, so I'm really curious about that...

I will share when I find the time to write it my back cover never came loose but I definitely noticed heat fatigue on both the SoC and... Another chip, can't remember what it was - maybe the radio (it was a semi-large chip, second biggest after the SoC). Photos are on my other phone and its flat at the moment, I'll find out when I actually do the guide and look at mainboard diagrams again

Why can't I be serious? Fact is that the SoC is one die containing CPU, GPU and RAM. In normal circumstances these are the highest consumers of power and generators of heat. An exception is if you've got heavy traffic on radio though, and I mean max bandwidth on a LTE or 802.11ac connection, for an extended period of time; I doubt it was that in this case. Or maybe it was...?
Also as a developer I know that software can have bugs that cause unnecessary CPU or GPU usage. You're just speculating here without hard evidence... If you can monitor CPU/GPU clock speeds and/or temperatures while this happens and show us that it's not high, then I will stand corrected.

well i tested it and it seems you were right but still i cant get it, why when both apps (creative effects and style potrait) use around 80% of the CPU, creative effects takes around 14-15 minutes to close and the style potrait just 2 minutes??

Maybe it's a bug. Is this a brand new app? I don't run stock sorry, not up to speed on the Sony specific stuff.
It could also be a simple case of neglect for our ol' Z.
Either way, cross your fingers and hope it gets solved in an update. It certainly sounds like it shouldn't be working so intensively.

no its not new and its not a case of neglect because i had flashed the app to my phone quite some time ago

But your OP says you installed some app which Sony just released?
I meant neglect from Sony; ever since KitKat our devices have had issues. But, on that note, how does (whatever old app you're talking about) working fine in the past but worse now = not a case of neglect? If the app is an identical version and your firmware is also identical version to when it was working well, but now its not working well, then it could very well be a case of wear and tear. I don't really understand, I'm just going through the process of elimination.

i flashed the app from a mod, the app wasnt meant to be installed at sony xperia z but now sony published the app at Play Store for all xperia (i think some old ones are not combatible). The app had the same issues before but i didnt want to post a thread before since it wasnt officialy combatible with my phone

I've been using this to reduce the heat. I know many of you have heard about it, just want to share to those who are still struggling with their Z4 .
I reduce the screen resolution (in general) to 720p , and back to 1080p only for watching films . My phone gets good results in both battery and performance.

My phone went crazy ( and crazy hot) even I used any modded or stock kernel, L speed or anything like that, but then I saw someone talking about Skynet project, found an old .zip online and have used it for a week now. Pretty great!
Hope you can find a nice solution for your love phone.

You should get into the skynet project site (find on Google) ,and ask for help there. They know much better about this. I don't use skynet any further dear.

Skynet project doesn't seem like my thing, it turns everything off, and it's not how and why I choose android. For instance, with things work normally, I use Google Now for almost everything, googling, watching and reading stuffs, translating things without getting into browser, or any other app. It's much easier and faster to use what you have got. I do use Zach's kernel for image/ screen enhancement but I would prefer the stock one sometimes. Zach's is better in some ways though, but yeah..
And as I write on the top, I've been using the screen shift app (with root, or you can use any app) to reduce the resolution of the screen. It makes our phone screen less sharp (poorer quality), but you wouldn't notice the difference anyway. The good thing is, you get better performance, better battery, and reduce heat (I suppose), as far as I can see from my phone.

Coming to skynet.. M using it. Battery has improved a bit and yes heating has reduced a bit too.

I don't know what you use to read XDA, I did attach 3 screenshots in my post, and it's "screen shift" app, you get into it, set resolution 720 x 1280, density 294 (or else as your own needs)

I just received my Huawei Honor 6X last week, and i am writing this to post my opinion on this device so you guys can get a good idea about the phone, as there is only scarce information about the hands on experience and functioning of the device.
I bough the Grey coloured 3GB32Gb variant, from UAE's online shipping jadopado. At 899AED~240USD~15000Rs

And this seller is by far the best seller i have ever come across. So helpful that he was 24/7 available through whatsapp, double checked my phone for me, even cleared my doubts on EMUI, and created videos to guide me through EMUI:highfive:
As you can see only the 4GB/64Gb variant is shown as available, contact the seller and they will guide you to buy the 3gb variant.
I really like the phone, its sleek aluminium-clad and really slippery. The UI has a learning curve, after that its alright.

Disclaimer: i have only used the phone for 2 days.. These are just my opinions..
Camera:
Talking about the camera, its good #decent, not superbtastic!! Main camera is 12mp+2mp, while the front camera is 8mp
It takes good to great pictures.. I have attached some pictures..
Pretty decent in medium low light.
Autofocus in video shooting isn't spot on.
The bokeh effect(dual camera) is good, but i dont think we'll use it often.
Performance
Performance is good, will be better in EMUI 5 i hope so..
Battery
The battery has been great so far, mainly due to huawei's excellent software which handles battery management. And there is ultra power saving mode.. I'm getting around 6 hours sot as of now, will have to use for a week or two to get the correct idea.
Call Quality
Call quality has been good so far.. Using BSNL and Jio..
And in Reliance Jio (india) i am facing network signal being lost and other issues, i think its mainly due to Jio's fault, as most of my other friends also has it..
LTE CAT 6 option for faster connectivity
It has VoLTE optionin settings, but still have problems in calling from stock dialer (JIO- India), it'll get fixed through an update i hope so.. I have emailed Huawei about this issue.
Fingerprint
Finger scanner is spot on.
Speaker
Speaker is loud, but its only a single down firing one. And while watching videos we can easily block the speakers accidentally when cupping the phone.
Display
Display is great, quality is good But the viewing angles are not that good, but its not at all noticeable..

Osum, go ahead bro, the device is grabbing attention from all corners, wherever i go..
I'm currently getting jio, no problems whatsover, but if i restart the device the network will go off for hours..

Im not using any theme, havent changed the theme, using default one..
But i am using Nova Launcher(paid, i've been a nova user for years now), and installed candycons icon pack to change the icons of just the stock dialer, messaging ( bcos the stock ones are boring) and instagram (i hate the new instagram icon) in the homescreen only..

Me as well, is satisfied with it. Requested it from a friend who bought it from China. I got the 4GB / 64GB variant on gold color.
For it's price, what more could you ask for? I love it's performance, camera, GPS.
the only downfall i can say is it's speaker. it's only coming out from the bottom right side. but no problem with headphones.
you say you're having problem with signal after restarting it. Though i don't have that kind of problem. I did not make any benchmark yet, maybe in the future.
this might be my phone for the next 2years. It will not be outdated.
heard there would be updates to Nougat on this model. hopeful! ^_^

Galaxy S8 general lacks !!

hi buddies ,
a lot of problems and lacks i've mentioned :
1 - auto focus is quiiiiite slow when recording a 1080 60fps video.
2- when editing an old video and after saving it, the new edited video is placed above all media in Gallery as if it was created originally today , it should be saved near non edited video.
3- in camera, i cannot modify exposure level when it is locked (like on iOS)
4- bad battery performance, heat, laggy animations on the new QG5 update, we have to wait until August update come out ,
that's really baaaad !

guys tell me if you know any fixes or should me migrate to another flagship

Try factory reset. If it will not help i recommend you to use your warranty and return your device for another piece. Issues you mentioning are NOT normal.
Dont root your device, dont try to fix it via different ROM or kernel. Because if you have somehow faulty device, and different rom / kernel etc. wont help, you will loose your warranty and then nobody will help you. :good:

would firmwares differ between one CSC and another (in terms of bloatwares , performance .....) ????

No they don't differ.
1. What does slow mean for you? I've had no Problems with Auto-Focus so far.
2. Intended behavior. Gallery sorts by Date created. Editing a Video "creates" a new one with todays date. Nothing wrong with that.
3. What does "when it is locked" mean?
4. I'm on GQ5 without such problems. It sounds like an app is using your cpu constantly. Maybe try to troubleshoot which app is keeping your phone awake. Neither heat nor Battery drains are normal.
And finally, yes, Touchwiz (Samsung Experience...) is on the "heavy" side for a manufacturers skin. But credit where credit is due, this is by far the best optimized Iteration of it i have seen to date. The S8 is not on the same "snappiness" level as my 3T before it, but it's far from bad. I only experience minor hiccups in scrolling now and than, But that's about it. Everything else is perfectly fine.

I you want "bug-free" and fluid experience, i would recommend Pixel or HTC U11. I really dislike OP5 so not recommending that.
But i really dont understand your issues. I have not a single problem with my S8+. In terms of bugs or snapiness.

ok simply try to record a video in 1080 60 fps , try the focus there it is sooo slowww , you can test it out right now

Focus is blazing fast. Its dual pixel ffs, even S7 focuses like a devil. FHD with 60 fps is alright. Either you are troll, or you have a faulty device. Just go and replace it for a new one.

auto focus is blazing fast on a 30 fps video recording , as i sad you can test it out , i'm not the only person who were complaining about this issue

Edit: tried focusing on 60fps and yes, i have some issues too. Fortunately im not using 60fps so i dont care that much. Truth is that Samsung can fix it. Manual focus is locked within two seconds.

I havent said anything like that, plus i already stated that i have problem with focusing when recording FHD 60FPS video too. So stay cool bro :fingers-crossed:
