compiled for Droid X?
Compcache is in the kernel and cannot be added until the bootloader is unlocked.
Oh really. Can't be added as a kernel module? That's a shame. Thx.

Nexus S was Crespo.
Moto Xoom was Stingray/Wingray.
Galaxy Nexus is Magura/Toro(plus).
Any clues or thoughts?

The "code name" (lunch combo in cm) will be grouper.
Thanks to arcee for the above. He actually went to IO and has a device.

Nakasi is just the build name, similar to yakju for the Galaxy Nexus (the actual device name was maguro). Hence, the device name is grouper for the Nexus 7.
Noted. Thanks for the correction.

Safe strap is a tool we install on locked moto phones that allows us to flash roms. With a locked bootloader
Do a search on safe strap

Lol I unlocked my bootloader yesterday because I taught there was no way to flash roms on moto without it...
Thank you
You don't need ss if you are unlocked. Recovery has already been released for those devices.ss is for people with locked devices primarily.

Thanks for asking the question. If you hadn't, I would have
As another n00b question, does Safestrap have to be updated (new version released/installed on the RMaxxHD) when the OTA 4.1 update is released? Or was the update just for use with the Motorola RMaxxHD hardware, etc.? Was thinking of holding on to the install file until the OTA update came out, then deciding where to go from there, but wanted to make sure it wasn't a worthless maneuver if the Safestrap version wouldn't work after the OTA update.
Thanks for everyone's patience as us n00bs get caught up in the fun!
---------- Post added at 03:44 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:13 PM ----------
A second n00b question - I noticed there were 2 different versions (3.05.08 and 3.05.12 I think)... Do I just download the newest one? Once installed, will the app update itself like the other apps?
Pretty sure the safestrap will work after the OTA... if not then there will be one devloped for it soon after most likely.
Second questions yes always install the latest (highest number) compatible with your device. Once installed it wont update automatically I don't believe. If you check the safestrap thread and click on install instructions link I believe hashcode has a section "if you have a previous version installed do _____." So if you read that it should answer your question.

tried that one, however when i load it my phone boots with a white screen. and not really sure what direction to go in to troubleshoot, as i have tried reflashing kernel and rom with system mounted/unmounted, from external sd.
i'm running pacman 6/16 rom with crossbreeder, twrp 2.5, and unlocked blootloader.
