[Q] Does anyone have the compcache module - Droid X General

compiled for Droid X?

Compcache is in the kernel and cannot be added until the bootloader is unlocked.

Oh really. Can't be added as a kernel module? That's a shame. Thx.

Overclock on GB

The dx/d2 overclock app seems to work just fine on the rooted GB leak. I know some of you were wondering about overclocking.

That's cause jrummy is the man. He updated the app right after GB was released.

Yup.
Now I wonder if the smartass governor modules will work with the new kernel, and if not if someone can make it compatible.

[Q] Kernels for Stock GB OTA?

I'm running myGinger v2 (check it out on my thread) and I have Faux's kernel and it's okay... but I want more selection, you know? More governers and stuff to use. I was on senseless, (just rosie.apk and themes removed) and it had demonspeed i think. Anyone know of stock gb ota kernels? i check the resource bible, most of them are for CM7 and ICS.
I found it. Demonspeed/Darkside v7 for Sense by Thederekjay. Check myGinger, myWay thread for the link.

Exactly where could I find this kernel? Some other kid posted the same thing, and he had no response

Well you could download the source and add governors and tweaks yourself, it's not too difficult

It'll be more fun
I can't find a download I'd trust. There are several ROMs out there that include the kernel. You could download one of those and extract the kernel and wifi module.

Moto X Kernel Works on Droid Maxx

Probably known around here, but, this Moto X kernel works on Droid Maxx, all phone functions still work too, like active display ect. The dev isn't updating it but the source is available , for those of you like me who build your own.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/orig-development/kernel-22-12-2013-enhanced-kernel-t2579884
Faux123 has a current kernel also with back ported features, active display works but you need to completely remove the Aon.apk / Aon.odex from the /priv-app folder and re download from the Play Store.
One thing I noticed with either custom kernel is active display is not as "active" , but does still function and for performance I did not have any better or worse functionality as far as gaming / benchmarking / battery life with either custom kernel.
faux's kernel works fine for me.

The ability to tweak a custom kernel to squeeze every ounce of performance and battery life out of the device, as well as features such as fastcharge which are made available by a custom kernel.

I have an unlocked bootloader, rooted, running stock with Xposed framework installed. Can I just flash this kernel or do I need to be running Moto X firmware? Sorry if this is a stupid question.

Nope I'm running the same setup as you. The faux kernel is running fine for me and everything seems to be working. You can flash away.

I tried flashing and went into a bootloop. Do you happen to have a link the to kernel you flashed? I flashed it in TWRP2.7 and wiped cache and davlik.

Used the "mainline" 4.4 kernel. Here's a link - http://faux.romhost.me/ghost/kk44/ghost-faux123-kk-007m.zip
Aren't there issues with twrp 2.7? I think I use 2.6.3.1 or whatever the version was before 2.7

I was flashing the 442 version. Thanks for the help!
I flashed with 2.7.0.0, no problems.
I had some Active Display issues with the first couple of versions, but it has been fine since.
Can anyone tell me what the cpu clock settings are for the stock kernel? I'm fully overclocked and it's making this 4.4 battery life much much worse lol

If anyone wants to flash back to stock from faux's kernel. I made a flashable zip.

Anyone else not able to turn on Wi-Fi with the Faux Kernel? It didn't even stay in the "on" position for a second... I've cleared cache and dalvik in recovery, and nada...

Thanks!
