[Q] Rooting Droid X on 2.3 Gingerbread?

Hi =]
I recently updated to 2.3 I had my Droid X rooted with Z4root but now my phone isn't rooted because I updated.
Is there any way to root the Droid X on 2.3?
I also tried Gingerbreak..but that just sits there for like 45 min and doesn't do anything.
Hopefully someone can help.

You must flash the prerooted Gingerbread build by p3droid.
Gingerbread can't be rooted through z4, gingerbreak, etc.

[Q] Cyanogen Mod 7.2 Installation - Droid X

The release of CM7.2 seems to have gone unnoticed in the Droid X community. The code name for the Droid X "Shadow" has a release: download[DOT]cyanogenmod[DOT]com/?device=shadow&type=
So my question is can the CM7.2 Rom be installed on OTA .605 or do I have to SBF back to the froyo kernel? That was the reason I didn't install CM7. This was because the CM7 Rom was based on the froyo kernel.

It actually hasn't gone unnoticed.
The official version still uses the Froyo kernel; however, you can download an unofficial version over at Rootzwiki that will absolutely fly.

As long as you're on .602 or .605.

Have you posted these on droidrzr? Might be a good thing. People ask the dumbest questions over and over on there.
With TWRP I had an issue in Mount options not displaying properly where I couldn't Mount System. This was simply due to using themes. Might be something you want to point out in the video description.

Rooting Droid 2 global

hey guys i have a Droid 2 global and not sure where to start on rooting and flashing roms, i own a OG Sholes and that was pretty simple, could i use framaroot or gingerbreak/z4root or something easy like that? also since its a global, can i flash reg droid 2 roms? Thanks.

am i able to flash droid 2 roms? if i remember right the Sholes could flash milestone roms i think.

Droid 2 and droid 2 global are too different, so no.
What system version is on it, 4.5.629?

yeah i think that is the latest, i just grabbed a droid x as well on the latest update.

Pretty much the same rules for the droid x.
Root framaroot
Don't use orifinal droid x Bootstrap, use modified x, droid 3 in my list.
Many roms in my list.

tried rooting my droid x with framaroot and told me to reboot, did so and i dont think it worked? there is no supersu in my app draw.
Edit: tried few more times and it worked
