As long as you didnt rooted it etc it definately is covered by the Warranty
Looks like a Glueing fail wich gets worse when the Phone is in Use due to the Temperature differences

So its Defective from factory not because of bad using or anything like this
I have the same problem, I can't use my warranty because the person on eBay I bought it from had the phones shipped from Hong Kong. Pretty bloody annoying.

Like when you press down on your LCD computer monitor too hard and you can see rainbow like colors under your fingers. I tried to take a picture as best as I could. The phone has never been dropped and I've left it shut off for about a month since I got the Bionic.

What could be causing this??
Here's a video link to explain even further what I mean

Mine did that after I dropped it off a 15 ft scaffolding onto concrete... luckily that's all mine did... 6 months later I got it wet (didn't get the wet sticker wet) and it bootlooped, wouldn't even go into stock recovery, so Verizon luckily replaced it (I was 2 days before my 1 year warranty ran out thank God) oh by the way I was stock unrooted, never sbf'ed or anything until I got my replacement phone

My friends was doing this same thing... the Verizon Rep told him that it had to do with the extended battery being too big and pushing on the components inside the phone against the screen... he demonstrated by taking the battery door off and pushing on the battery itself and causing the same "rainbow " effect as when he touched the screen... long story short they are sending him a new phone

Hi xda i am having an issue with my galaxy note 2 (N7100)
I bought the device new from amazon and after using it for a few weeks i am having green lines apearing down the right side of the screen and green blocks flickering horizontally especially near black areas since it is only a few weeks old it is still under warranty
BTW I am rooted and running stock rom with Perserues kernal 36.3 but have the issue even running completely stock rom and kernal
Its look like a burn mark to me. Better exchange it while its still under warranty..

I am taking it to the samsung service centre on Monday after i flash it back to stock
Keep us updated on the resolution! I wonder how sammy reacts to such issues and whether they cover it under the warranty
I took it to the warranty centre and they knew in just 10 seconds which part that need replacing but when i asked which part had the issue they wouldn't tell me anyways the accept to repair it under warranty and said they will phone me when it is ready they said it should take probable 4 days :fingers-crossed:

LOL probably the display
Hello
- Advice requested
I have had my G2 D802 bought in Europe, Sweden, for a couple of months now and right from the start I have been taking care of it;
Back and front screen protector applied (thin plastic one, great acctually)...
Now, in the end of January 2014, I yesterday noticed a thin ray of light coming from "inside" the screen and shining out between the touch sensitive display and the edges (bezel?) of the device.

These images are all focused on the thin light escaping from the side of the display.
It is a opening as thin as a single piece of hair.
- What would you recommend?
Please leave a comment or just vote in the embedded poll at the top.
The images are grainy, yes, but all show the light comming out.
Return, replace

Well, I flashed stock and got a service ticket for a warranty repair.
It took 35 minutes for them to give my device a new screen.
All is good. I'm happy.

Same has happened with mine a few months after purchase! Mine is a Carrier device so i think they will replace it ok. I hope this isn't an ongoing things with G2's!
Same here. Same place
Same here, can I glue it with an easy method?
Without disassembling the whole phone.
Hello guys, yesterday at night I noticed that a small spot on my screen wasn't working. It had J and N soft keys included, I got kind of mad, but just tried to reboot the phone, after rebooting it was fine again for some time, then it just stopped working again. I made a factory reset for the phone and just put it to charge while all the apps that I had were downloading. I wake up in the morning and bam, the vertical line, which used to be like a square on the lower side of screen is all throughout the screen now, rebooting doesn't help... I know that it's most likely a hardware problem, but this nexus is like 2-3 years old so no warranty for me so I'm looking for different solutions... Has anyone encountered this and knows how to solve it?

Soooo, I went outside to work, and when I come back BOOM it's working again, I'm happy, using the phone normally and then boom, massive unstoppable clicks began on one spot, they lasted for like 15seconds (they were all on a single spot) and when they stopped the stripe was dead again... I guess it's hardware playing with me but I'm less and less sure that it's the digitizer itself... Any ideas?
I guess your phone was dropped.
Coz my friend's were having similar symptoms. He took it to repair centres they said display need to be changed etc. He better purchased other cheaper android phone.

Had a similar issue. It will get progressively worse over time. I got mine RMAd by Google.

Just got my S8 yesterday evening and less than 24hrs after the screen is already bad...
Was like this when I picked it up from the Samsung fast wireless charger that was gifted to me by the provider.
What is strange is that the line are not showing up on either complete black or white screens.
See for yourself..
EDIT: Just got a new one and this looks fine.

Looks like your screens digitizer is going bad. I went through 3 S6's that had green/pink line running down it.

I would definitely not be happy about that. They should replace it without a question. That's an obvious mfg defect

Here's my S6 I upgraded from. Third one that had it, verizon wouldn't replace it because they said it must be something I'm doing. I got real close to not getting another samsung.
This happened on my S7 Edge, and when I took it so Samsung they couldnt replicate the problem. They believed me though and replaced the display panel for me for free anyway Didn't even use up one of my warranty swapouts
samsung s7 edge pink line problem in green for s8 ?
