Hi Guys, I`m looking for camera mod which let mi take a picture with mode similar to mode in camera S4 or other mode. I have a root and Philz Recovery.
What specific mode are u talking about? The G2 camera has many modes.
Sent from my LG-D800 using Tapatalk
For example, Im talking about the mode in which the phone is doing a series of images and merges them into a single image or a mode where your phone takes a photo and record sound at the same time but also looking for other modes because the stock mode suck.

The stock google android cam beats the g2 stock cam at panorama shots, among other things
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.GoogleCamera.
yes but on the Google camera does not offer anything more what I have in stock camera in addition to the panoramic camera and a blurred photo there's nothing there. I am looking for a really interesting modes similar to the modes in the Galaxy s4

Go buy an S4 then. Seems like you are just trolling. The G2 camera has plenty of goodies. You are asking for something that Samsung has implemented. Sorry but I doubt you are going to find what you are looking for.

I had the S4 phone I didnt like samsung the only cool thing about him is just the camera. LG is for me almost perfect phone but the camera does not offer anything interesting in contrast to the camera s4 for this reason I am looking for modifications that will allow me to use interesting modes like this that makes a series of images and combines them into one image i fell in love with it

i still don't get what you're talking about... panorama? sphere? collage?
why don't you just find a camera app that has the 'effect' you want (several apps have collage plugins included)
These are pictures taken by my Samsung Galaxy S4. These pictures are amazing. Now you know what I mean? LG G2 does not offer any interesting shooting modes, no frills. I am looking for such modes.

i don't see anything amazing about those pictures...
1st one is a plain "clone me" plugin which you can find in several apps... some of them are dedicated to that filter such as
Clone Yourself Camera
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lyrebirdstudio.clone.free
the second one is a plain animated gif
GIF camera (2 apps with the same name)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.listen5.gif
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.droidkitchen.gifcamera
etc...
Samsung is doing a series of photos of an object in motion, and he combines them into one image, there is nothing to cut as in the Clone Camera. In the second picture you can see better a child is not posed for pictures but going by bicycle / toy car, take a picture took no more than 10 seconds. In Clone Camera person in the photo must change positions and submit photos in one photo is taken manually and it takes time. I know that this is the only software so this mode is possible on other devices, not only in samsung
The app "A Better Camera" has this function. I just starting using the app the other day. It's pretty good!
Finally! I was looking for just that, a huge thank you!

to me (as a photographer, not a modder/hacker) it looks like they do no noise reduction. Which makes sense because this takes processing time (even with DSLR's). so probably thats why. I'd love to be able to turn off the dreaded noise reduction/sharpening (actually all post processing) and do it afterwards in photoshop/lightroom if i care.
This difference is ridiculous. I just tested it out myself...bad Sony.
Lucky it shows the sensor has potential though!

That is really good question! Maybe the sun is different in Japan, or they calibrated the sensor on their secret Moonbase! jk...
Either they created the noise reduction in a labor only with artificial light, or they ported the noise reduction from previous sensors to the Exmor-RS sensor (Xperia Z is the first phone to use the new sensor, right?)

Amazing. Hopefully Sony take a look and update the normal mode to look like this.

Go to your local Sony site (uk,usa etc) find the contact section and choose phone and type in the issue, lets see if we can get Sony to fix this
i used burst mid.
This is an awesome find. Finally everyone will see that there is in fact something wrong with the software and that it needs to be fixed.
SONY ARE YOU READING THIS???
It would be amazing if someone could do a comparison between these burst mode photos and other popular phones like the iPhone 5, GS3, Lumia 920 or Pureview 808. Considering how much sharper and better things look overall in burst mode, I'm very curious how this now stacks up against the competition.

I haven't played with it too much yet, but so far I think I prefer the Google camera app... I just wish we could set it as the default camera for twist-to-launch.
It is definitely better. The only bad thing is the twist. We have to wait for the next versions

I will take pictures a bit later on tonight to compare them. I work overnight, so I have plenty of time.
Did anyone notice that some devices can turn on HDR on the Google Camera app but we can't on the moto X.

The only differences I have found are photosphere panoramic built in and it takes pictures faster really quick focus. All the pictures I have taken look the same.
Google Camera crashed 3x with me while taking photos with flash on low light. I removed it.
I like the interface on the Motorola camera, but the Google one is improved. It will nice to have photosphere back though.

Does HDR work? There's no option for it on the Google camera.

These images were taken with everything set on Auto. The first picture of the pair is the stock camera app, the second picture of the pair is with the google camera app.
Honestly, I can't really see much of a difference.
In this set, the built in camera app more closely matches actual color from streetlights.
Disappointingly, both camera apps turn the color to Magenta in very low light.
These pictures look like the same picture copied over.
Yeah I see no difference between apps.

I found a problem with the Google camera, can't focus right in low light with flash, I tried like a 10 pics but always out of focus, it's just too fast and give no chance to get the focus correctly, the moto camera with the first pick get the focus correctly, here the first pick it's with Google camera and the second it's with moto camera
PD: I take a screen shot with the crop at 100%, that way is easy to see the focus on the cow

Losing HDR mode in the Google Camera on the MotoX kind of sucks for sure. Hope they fix that very soon.
As for twist-to-launch, that is a feature specific to the Motorola camera app, so Google would need to add it as a feature to the stock Android Camera for it to work.

Hey
I want to share my opinion about photo taking in dark places without light only LED lamp inda phone.
EDIT:
In latest update for me lvl of ISO and processing photos in low light conditions are very unstable one photos is bright and sharp other photo is very dark (I took photos in same place in same conditions and exactly same point) and I must say that every photo is different heh on previous update ISO 800 was much better than now. The colors was better on superior Auto same situation colors was better brighter sharper than now. I attached some photos to compare and previous was better only milk effect was bad but now colors are really bad. All photos was taken in dark place without light only LED from phone.

best solution would be bringing back KK's camera parameters and porting it to LP. I whish there would be somebody who knew how to do that...
Lately Sony isn't at their best.
I disagree. When looking at 2011's update (mine Xperia Active android 2.3 -> 4.0.4) and 2012's update (mine Xperia V android 4.1 -> 4.3) this one is almost perfect (we can normally use phone after update, yeeeeey...). The only time SONY did not f*cked up update was 2010 (mine Xperia X10 Mini Pro android 1.6 -> 2.1). SONY's incompetence in updating software is being repeated for few years now. But on the other hand we have great stability on KK, Xperia V had great stability on 4.1 and Xperia Active on 2.3, so what is the problem?
To be honest im not really mad about that low light performance, i got my new DSLR so im gonna go with it everywhere till ill get bored
Try manual mode. It's much better. Managed to get some very nice pics with it
Sent from my D5503 using XDA Free mobile app
agree, in manual mode pictures are much better, even like on KK. But when I turn on my camera with camera button it starts with superior auto mode and changing mode every time I want to do photos is annoying
I was hoping some of you Zenfone 3 Zoom owners could elaborate on the camera quality. Are you guys happy with it? What level would you say it's at, anywhere remotely close to current or last gen's top flagships? I'm mainly interested in the standard lens.
I obviously don't own one myself but have looked at quite a lot of reviews and videos on youtube and I get that the camera is good for a mid range phone, but can it actually compete with high end phones in terms of details it produces and dynamic range? Quite often the greens seem to be too saturated, the highlights look blown out, and, maybe the factor putting me off the most, the leaves on the trees look like they are painted (I couldnt figure out if that's because of poor HDR processing or whether it happens even with HDR off). Here are two galleries with sample photos that I found online:
Sample Gallery 1, all photos from ZF3Z
Sample Gallery 2, not all photos from ZF3Z
I feel like some of the photos within these galleries demonstrate the described 'issues' quite well, especially those in the google photos album.
Maybe some of you can add more sample galleries to this thread?
This photo shows the leaves and gras looking painted very well, just zoom in and look at the grass in front of the river. Could somebody please test with their own device whether this issue can be solved by turning HDR off or by using a different camera app? Or is it solved with the Nougat update? If this can't be fixed by different settings I would have to conclude that the camera on my Samsung S4 was better than this..
Yes it would be nice to see some pictures. I've just broken my zf3 deluxe and I wondering if zoom s would be good enough to buy.
Wysłane z mojego K6000 Pro przy użyciu Tapatalka
Hi. The camera is very good, comparable to my previous galaxy note 4 and my wife's galaxy s7 edge.
Fast focus, good image quality and two cameras, one wide 25mm wide and one normal 59mm wide.
Strong point is the portrait mode, which uses both cameras to create a background blur and works much better than I expected. In addition the manual mode is quite interesting.
However I found the front panoramic (for wide angle selfies) much worse than the equivalent of the galaxy note 4: slow, difficult to use and often with mistakes in joining images.
Overall I'm pretty satisfied with the camera and the phone.
Ok. Thanks for your opinion. It would be pleasure, if You could post here some pictures in original size. I'm interested the most with some text and exterior fotos to see its quality with details. Thanks in advance.

Since no one here has shared photos in the original quality so far I guess the camera really is just good for a mid tier device but can't compete with flagships.
I've read a couple of reviews that also pointed in that direction, eg
digitaltrends.com asus-zenfone-3-zoom-review/ :
[...] the camera is only just usable in low-light. It’s not all that surprising – few phones have come close to offering great low-light capabilities, but with such a camera-centric device, you might expect better. In broad daylight, photos are more saturated than we’d like, and details aren’t as sharp. Not only that, but colors just seem a little off. Photos look somewhat like an oil painting rather than a photograph

I just compared the zf3z camera with that of the iPhone 7 indoors. The iPhone's definitely better, but if you use HDR Pro, the zf3z can get close.
I also own the S7, and in low light its way better than the zf3z.
When using the telephoto in daylight, the zf3z is clearly better.

Tomorrow, I'm taking both the S7 and the zf3z to a concert to see which one delivers better pictures and video.

Camera is very good, but the app does tend to lag or crash. Very powerful for photographers / manual settings. Reminds me of Sony's a6000.
A cheap Pixel 2

It has the same sensor as the Pixel 2. Just install the Pixel3Mod camera port from Pixel and you have a Pixel 2
I find with the stock camera that If you turn off HDR and optimization the photos come out really good.
