Today I got a call but the title of the call was: "currently only supporting US numbers"
What is this? It was a number in my home country but I'd rather have the dialer not show me this title.
I'm on c-rom and I think it's Google dialer
Help would be appreciated
Found it, it were the people lookup settings

Guys
HTC has introduced a very neat feature in the TP2 of dialing a person from an email by just tapping the phone icon.
Is there any way of choosing which number to dial? I realised that the default is the mobile number.
Anybody else faced this issue?
Thanks. Any help will be appreciated.
Hi guys,
Just got my TD2 a few days back.
However i noticed when im dialing a number, i do not see the number that i'm dialling. just the contact picture and that's it.
The name of the contact and number are all missing from the dialer while dialing.
Anyone has any solutions to this?? Thanks in advance!
Hi there,
I needed to change my caller ID settings on my phone, but after I did that, I found that I couldn't dial out. I chose the setting for blocking caller ID to everyone. I then tried out contact only, and found I could only dial my contacts, and finally visible to everyone, and then i could dial out like normal. This is most annoying, as there are people who I don't want to see my number when I call, such as my students. Why would it block me calling in the first two cases - all I want blocked is my number appearing on the other person's phone. Could it have something to do with my local network? Any ideas?
Thanks,
David
PS I was playing about with my contacts while I was testing this out. I noticed my phone slowed down to a crawl, so much so that it was unusable, after changing a contact's details. Anyone else noticed this?
Has nobody experienced this? Or am I being an idiot and not understanding something simple?
Hello,
I was on windows mobile, and I used a basic function which can hide my callerID to all numbers out of my contact list, very usefull to show me to all my contacts and not my customers.
I searched on the phone such an option but nothing, so I don't worry I go to the Market thinking a very simple function must exist there, but nothing...
I open my computer search about it and see a message that someone try this but can't find function in the SDK for the caller ID ?
Is there a way to do it (even if i have to do the app but I don't want to lose many hours to understand android coding if it's simply impossible !)
Thanks a lot if you have an idea on the question.
Hi!
On gsm networks you can add #31# at the beginning of the phone number to hide caller ID. In US use *67 (untested).

I`m looking for the same thing. One simple application that can hide my ID by pressing one button.
I`ve looked everywhere.Googled, searched Market and nothing. All apps are for US users. Prefix #31# or 141 doesnt work in UK. At least in O2 UK. Dont know about others.
So PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE anyone who know anything about Android apps to make something that might help. I`m tired of going to settings and hiding my ID everytime i want to speak with my customers
I am using cm7 and in the call settings there is a setting for caller id. You can have it be private public or network determined.
I do agree that it would be a great app to have your id hidden to people outside of your address book. I think it would have to be an alternative dialer though
From something awesome
I'm curious about the dialer behaviour. When I use the T9 dialer, I know a contact has several numbers. However, the dialer only gives me one number. Is that expected?
I found a very stupid work-around: I shuffled the order in which the numbers were stored. so I deleted all numbers so that the mobile number was first, and then the house/fax/work. Now the T9 only gives me the mobile number.
Do you guys have any suggestions? recommendations? tips or tricks?
