Hi, quite new to the forum and currently exploring new roms. I've tried my first custom rom back in 4.3 with dr. ketan's. now I've flashed my device with Team Electron's 4.4.2 rom, but i noticed that i can only add 10 sms recipients and has limit on sms to mms conversion. That is one feature that i miss from my dr. ketan 4.3. any help how can I have almost limitless sms recipients and character number?
Hello. I'm quite new too in customizing my smartphone. I think you can have a look to the mod wanam xplosed with xplosed installer. I don't know if it works with your rom but with that mod you can modify this limits and a lot of other things.

Thank you for the input. Do you have a link of it?
First you must install xposed framework from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/framework-xposed-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401
Then you can install wanam xposed from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/app-wanam-xposed-customize-stock-t2383484
or in the play store

Not sure who all has seen this, but you can now fully modify your stock rom to almost anything you'd like. Per app DPI, no ascending ringer, themeing...unlimited possiblities. I wanted to create a thead for us to discuss settings and features and leave the original thread open for dev discussion.

This is the link to download modifications: http://www.villainrom.co.uk/forum/microdownloads/
I have per app dpi working on messenger, gmail, and email at 220. For some reason I can't get tablet mode to work but I'm sure that will be fixed soon. Post any comments or questions here.
Thanks!
Does any of this works on stock 4.1.2 dll4 odexed?

Works on any rom that I've seen. I'm using it on odex 4.1.2 DLL4
Here is a link to multi-window enable all apps. I have tested and it works great on odex DLL4. Another mod we've been looking for on stock roms!

In my humble opinion Xposed Framework is the best thing that has been done for the community since the old Rom Kitchen website for the first Galaxy S.
But for some strange reason it's not getting the attention it deserves from chefs and devs
The xposed framework should work on any touchwizz based rom

I agree entirely...
The problem is that there is a difficulty level step to overcome. Once you learn how to use this though, you find it's much better than other methods.
The best thing to do right now is to encourage devs to submit their modifications into the repository linked there. This is because the files should work for future ROM versions too, but if the developer updates their patch, it's nice to get notified about the update.
I want to push this much harder in the new year as the new way to modify your phone...
I'd love to have a "no sms in call log" modification
Try "Samsung log converter" in play store
Thank you, I already use that but I'm looking for something that is a plugin for this mod.

That's definitely possible
I'm constantly telling people about Xposed framework and mods..they're so awesome.
Hmm, I never considered this but this looks cool. I've two questions though, I've read the topic of Pulsur word by word, and I guess it doesn't mess up with any system files right (sorry I didn't get all the technical words)? I am a stock forever user and I like it that way. Secondly, to use it, I just need to download the apk of Xposed framework and install it, then I need to download the mod and install it, right?
Thanks in advance.

But then how you're using Multi Window mod, it's not listed there! It's not that I need Multi Window mod, still I'd like to know. I only need SMS long character and call recording mod.

Thanks for helping get the word out about this Dr. I believe these custom frameworks are the future of our rom customization
I just picked up my S4 yesterday and am loving it so far (came from an ELTE). However, I would really like to map the long press of each of the 3 buttons to something else. The main things I would like to be able to access with the buttons are: voice search, in-app search and kill current app. I've searched around and haven't found much. Please let me know if there's a way to do this!
Thanks!
This isn't possible on a stock rom, but some custom roms have this ability, like Slim bean

Thank you for the reply. That's exactly what I wanted to know. I've rooted my phone, but I'm waiting until after the 14 day return period to flash a custom recovery/rom (so as to avoid any shenanigans if I decide to return it). I guess I'll have to wait until then for this functionality.
You can try one of the xposed modules. They work on stock rooted, odexed or deodexed. The latest one is available on the market called wanam xposed. Follow the instructions, you will have to download the xposed framework and install it before you run the wanum xposed. There is also nottach xposed you can find in the apps section in this forum. Not all of the features work for our phone but many do especially the new wanum xposed.
Won't modify the system files do the trick?

Hey dodgeboy...I came across your thread here while looking for the same solution to remap the menu key to long press kill app. I'm sort of noob on this stuff, but wondered if you can tell me exactly what you installed to make this happen? I'm on Stock Rooted, MF9, Deodexed. Hope this doesn't bug you. Thanks sir.
Hi everyone,
I have GS4 and using 3minit framework for theming and tweaking my phone, is there any possibility that it could be done or ported for the Note 3, SM-n900 version??
thanks in advance
why don't you ask in original author whether he plans to support note3?
anyway, Xposed framework offers more options overall although is not as simple to use.

I'm already using wanam xposed and it does its job well, but 3minit is more rapid and you don't need to restart your phone with EVERY modification
Hi all,
Recently I have just found out about xposed framework and want to use it on my GT-I9505 running Cynagenmod 11 (the kitkat version). Furthermore, I would like to then install other things such as wanam xposed. However, from the guide I'm looking at, the person seems to be using a stock ROM. So my question is, would I be able to install this framework on a custom ROM like Cynagenmod or any other custom ROM just as easy? Or is it recommended to go back to a stock based ROM?
Thanks to anyone that can help

Read post #2 in the Xposed Framework thread. Short answer - yes, it should work.
AFAIK Wanam Xposed is designed to work with stock Samsung ROMs. Other Xposed modules, however, should work fine with any ROM.

when you are on kitkat based rom, make sure ART runtime is not activated, xposed won't work on ART, it will revert the runtime into dalvik
Gravity Box is a good alternative to Wanam Exposed. You should try it.
Xposed only works on Dalvik runtime. Wanam Xposed is for Samsung TouchWiz roms only. Gravity Box is for AOSP and GE roms, and will offer you many customization options, along with XuiMod. Wanam Kit should also work as this is for AOSP KitKat roms which is similar to Gravity Box.
This is Xposed installation/testing thread
This is new and unofficial version- can be unstable.
I am not responsible for bricks and loosing your data! ;P

1. First make backup of your data with twrp
2.Install xposed instaler by dvdandroid
3Flash xposed 87 sdk24 by PurifyOS. .zip file with twrp
4.Install modules, activate them then reboot
Please write what firmware you are using and what modules work on yours phones.
If something goes wrong, first try to flash uninstaller and reboot before restoring data from nandroid
Thanks to great devs for bringing xposed to our phones!
Rovo89, for making Xposed
-Abforce, for update Xposed ti Nougat
-PurifyOS Team, for make possible the build zip with source by abforce

I had it working, but it was a little hit and miss. It would cause a few moderate issues like when I tap an app it would try to open and then just disappear. I would have to tap the app a good 3 or 4 times to get it to actually open.
Also was about 50/50 on which modules actually worked. I really wanted gravity box most, it didn't work. GB Nougat is still highly experimental though.
Thanks for update and reply I was just about to install , it is a pity, I will have to wait more
