I have a rooted A500 on stock ICS 4.0.3
I was using an app which forced "show touches" on and then the app crashed
Now show touches is permanently on and I can't turn it off as it hasn't got the option in developer settings
Anybody know a way to disable it without having to reset it?

As of this day I can only use my Tab in vertical view. Does anyone know a solution so my Tab will be able to switch (rotate) from vertical to horizontal view? I have the rotation lock off. Thanks for helping me out.

Do you use a custom rom?
there is possibly a setting stuck... do you have experience with adb? you can use logcat to find out what happens if you switch orientation lock off and on and if you get errors when you (physically) change orientation of the tab...
does it only make problems with the homescreen or in every app?
I have the standard rom. Only You Tube can I view in horozontal mode. I have tried setting the rotation lovk on, and off and shaking my Tab, all to no avail. I have no experience with adb. My Tab is rooted and I have a terminal emulator program installed.

Has anyone else experienced the problem with the keyboard tapping sound not working for the Samsung keyboard. I've tried everything in the keyboard settings menu.

close power saving mode or increase media sound from settings , or from accessibility
Tried that and it didn't work. Anyway got fed up with it and downloaded the keyboard from android 4.2 from the play store. So now I can do the swype functionality and no buggy tapping sound.

I have notice that this app turns on automatically in the task bar, and I cannot turn it off unless I go to running apps and disable it. Has anyone else had this issue and how can I fix it?

It is not just your phone and it is quite annoying to have to turn it off after every reboot.

This is an issue with the last update. I notified the developer and they Emailed me back telling me they are aware of the issue and will be adding a "fix" in a future update.
If you wipe data on the app then this stops. It has for me at least

If you don't mind, reboot your phone (completely turn off and then back on) and once it is fully rebooted, pull down your notification panel and see if it turns back on again.
If you wipe the data, it clears all the settings... I have the same issue. I want it to only be active when I call for it by clicking the app. Not all the time. I tried greenify and it seemed to work until I opened the app, now it is back to coming back after every reboot.

Watch on
I thought it was me, after a day or two, it came back. Thanks!
When you personalize the lock screen, you have the personal message then under that the time, then the date. My question is how do you get the date to show up? Both boxes are checked for date and time but the date field is completely blank. I've tried checking then uncheck the box and save, turned off personalized lock screen then turned back on. Multi widgets are not enabled either. Guessing a setting maybe that I'm missing. Any ideas?????

I checked both the time and date in the Edit personal information option and both are showing on my lock screen. Have you tried rebooting since you chose your options? They should be showing if you checked them.

When I try to turn on accessibility settings like for nova launcher or greenify I move the slider to the right and a box pops up giving me the options of "OK" or cancel. When I try to hit "OK" nothing happens so I have to hit cancel to close the box.
Any help is very appreciated. (Not rooted).

Apparently it was because I had lux running that wouldn't allow me to click OK. I stopped lux, enabled the settings and turned lux back on.
