Has anyone else experienced the problem with the keyboard tapping sound not working for the Samsung keyboard. I've tried everything in the keyboard settings menu.

close power saving mode or increase media sound from settings , or from accessibility
Tried that and it didn't work. Anyway got fed up with it and downloaded the keyboard from android 4.2 from the play store. So now I can do the swype functionality and no buggy tapping sound.

I have accidentally switched off swype keyboard and only get the stock Samsung keyboard for all typing operations now.
I still have swype settings in the main settings panel but no way to make swype the default keyboard that I can find.
Can anyone help me to reactivate swype please?

I think you can just press and hold the input area and you're presented with the keyboard option to use and you can just pick swype.
Does someone knows how do i use the speech to text on my sms? I'm kinda new to this android thing.
Thanks.

Check the sound settings.
I did check the sound settings, unless I'm missing something there is no option there.

Go to sound settings and uncheck the Audible touch tones option. Should take care of it.
My sound settings are as below and I still have the clicking!!

I am using the Samsung keyboard, not swype, but I turned off the clicks in swype anyway. I am STILL getting the clicks in the Samsung keyboard.
I can't believe I'm the only one who doesn't want this thing constantly clicking!!

You're not the only one
Yes... You are not the only one. The clicks are freaking annoying!
I used root explorer and changed the sound file with one from my nexus one. I now have a different clicking sound.

Well the T-Mobile version can disable the keyboard clicking. I guess the Verizon version is out of luck.
anyone? help?
go to settings, sound settings, volume and lower the system volume. it worked for me.
I've just updated to Android 4.1.2 with my note 8010. I noticed that 4.1.1 had the feature where you could toggle through the different pens in s note by clicking the button on the s pen. However I could never get this to work.....when I press the button it changes to the pencil from whatever writing tool I'm using....and clicking on the button after that does nothing, it just stays on the pencil tool.
I thought this would be fixed with the 4.1.2 update, but it hasn't. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
I can't even find the settings to enable or disable this feature now.

It kind of works for me on 4.1.1 (now 4.1.2). You have to have preset pens set up from the pen menu. It will toggle through them as you press the SPen button. It will also select the eraser sometimes too. It's not brilliant but it works OK.
That's great thanks. It works now.....I didn't realise that's what those presets were for. It now toggles them all perfectly. Although the eraser never comes up at all.

All working fine now. The eraser comes up everytime once I get to the end of the presets list.

I have had my Gs4 for 5 months and a very annoying issue has recently arose.
Normally, while typing using the default Samsung keyboard it would remember commonly used words such as my email address or company name. Mysteriously this feature has disappeared. I checked under settings and both predictive text and personalized data are enabled. I haven't changed any keyboard settings and just forgot all my words and doesn't seem to be able to relearn them.
I was so frustrated that I went back to swiftkey. It learns my words perfectly but I have been really spoiled with the dedicated numbers row on the Samsung keyboard. I just wish it would work properly. Please help! Thanks.
