I have accidentally switched off swype keyboard and only get the stock Samsung keyboard for all typing operations now.
I still have swype settings in the main settings panel but no way to make swype the default keyboard that I can find.
Can anyone help me to reactivate swype please?

I think you can just press and hold the input area and you're presented with the keyboard option to use and you can just pick swype.
Does someone knows how do i use the speech to text on my sms? I'm kinda new to this android thing.

I did check the sound settings, unless I'm missing something there is no option there.

Go to sound settings and uncheck the Audible touch tones option. Should take care of it.

I am using the Samsung keyboard, not swype, but I turned off the clicks in swype anyway. I am STILL getting the clicks in the Samsung keyboard.
I can't believe I'm the only one who doesn't want this thing constantly clicking!!

Yes... You are not the only one. The clicks are freaking annoying!
I used root explorer and changed the sound file with one from my nexus one. I now have a different clicking sound.

Well the T-Mobile version can disable the keyboard clicking. I guess the Verizon version is out of luck.

go to settings, sound settings, volume and lower the system volume. it worked for me.
New Android user here, just purchased a MT4G and have a few questions.
1. How do i enable double space - auto period (swipe is off)
2. How do i get that annoying "tap to speak" bar off the bottom of my keyboard?
3. I downloaded a mixtape, selected it after the download and played a song i selected from the notifications menu and played it. But i cant find any of the mixtape in my library?
4. I have the autocorrect turned on but its not working. I also have vibrate on for when you push the keys but that isnt working either

Try downloading Astro from the market and search your SD for the files.
My phone only shows an application button at the button of he screen as of this morning. It use to display phone, message, email, and something else. Anybody know how to get these buttons back?

Go into your apps, hit the menu button, choose edit, find what other three apps you want and drag. Them into the bottom bar, hit menu and selete save.
And next time questions go in q&a.
Go into the app drawer, click menu, edit. Move whichever apps you want into the dock.

close power saving mode or increase media sound from settings , or from accessibility
Tried that and it didn't work. Anyway got fed up with it and downloaded the keyboard from android 4.2 from the play store. So now I can do the swype functionality and no buggy tapping sound.
