Did you bother to search before opening another thread?.. No, is the answer.
Anyway. This is usual, it will return to normal when the speaker dries out.

Hi,
Yesterday my vibrator broke on my phone and this made me to open the phone for the second time. I took off the backglass and tried to fix it but had no succes. But since I really don't put my phone in water I decided to expiriment with stuff.
I always wanted make my xperia Z louder so I installed zero's puresound mod but it was still not loud enough, so I took off the sponge/rubber and the loudspeakers glass. I can't believe that this phone is so loud now atm. All I ever wanted from this phone just with one easy mod done.
If your warranty is void and don't care about the waterproofness you can also do this. Since I'm going to take my phone apart again I will take some pictures.
I'm not going to shower and take phonecalls anyway, before this I never had a waterproof phone so I can live with that.

Did you managed to put the back plate on without replacing the adhesive? Is it stiff?
Sent from my Xperia Z
Yes, I just heated up with a hairdryer until it melted and paste it back on. It's already my second time that I've done it.

About 30 to 60 seconds. I think that the glue lacks quality since it's easy to take it off. The glue used on the battery is made of better quality. Could be because the glue on the battery is thicker

Took off the right glass and pushed the sponge from the outside of the speaker hole and took it off from inside.

Well I don't have another xperia z tbh so I don't know how. I wish I made a video like before and after while doing this. I'm very pleased atm with it now

We can do it together.
Download sound meter from the market and then play one of the sony ringtones and tell me which one by name. I'll do the same and we'll both see by decibels how louder your speaker is compared to my stock one.

I put the phone under water when running benchmarks, makes the phone run cooler and get nice scores :sly:

Went free diving with my Z1 when it was only a week old! This was taken by me in the red Sea. My friend, seen in the photo, took it to depths of 10+ meters without any major problems. Only issue I had was the external speaker going quiet, but once the phone had aired and dried out over night, it went back to normal. I know Sony don't recommend taking it in salt water, but I thought I'd risk it!
Hope you all like the shot.

It's not rated to survive in saltwater but it's cool to see that it does.

Yeah I know it's not rated for saltwater. I was in and out of the sea for 10 days (holiday), using it underwater for about 40 mins at a time.
I only risked it as my device is insured and it wouldn't have been a problem to get a new one

guys after having a phone swim
when do you plug the charger ?!
another curious question
what happens to the speaker if u got a phone call under water !
Also i would like to go diving and record my GPS route through My tracks or what ever app. Would be nice
Just dry the outside of your phone and you'll be good to plug the charger in. That's what I did anyway. Not sure about using the speaker underwater. Can't see anything going wrong with it, but I could be wrong.

There´s no signal under water.
Actually took my phone in a swimming pool today, put it in an airtight plastic bag just in case the Chlorine does something but water got in that when I was at the bottom of the pool (no surprise) so I took it off and took the camera for a spin. (If I remember correctly its certified for 1.5m for 30 minutes, I was at 2.5m; the deepest part of the pool for 5 minutes, off course I went up for breath )
I had a muffled speaker for a few minutes but that disappeared when I got home.

That shouldn't be a problem
I watched a short movie while the phone was under water, you can even
hear the sound without problems if the volume is high enough.
Dont ask me why i did that but its funny

My z1 is the same as most other people's, speaker goes muffled for about 5 mins. I've never put mine on charge as soon as it's left the water! I use the magnet charger now so no need to open the ports to charge it

So yer, my wife has the z1.... She decided to test hers out the normal way and drop it down the toilet.. As you do
Low and behold it broke, all ports were closed!
I'm currently drying it in rice, but I can see different shades behind the screen looks like water got in. It's working but looks bad, gonna let it dry out fully turned off. Would you risk keeping the device out just get it changed under warranty

no problem that's surprising the first time (also for me after one year of use). but this phone is very thin and powerful so you hands can feel the calories at dissipation stage.
for more detail just Google it about and you'll better understand.
Nobody is anymore complaining.
Hey guys, i bought my new Galaxy S5 . Its perfect, but I have one problem. When I go out, or the sun is shining, small bubbles appers on screen. I can clean it, but in five minutes its back. Is there any solution for this ? I attached a photo of it. Sry for my english.
Maybe you have protective cover on screen...

I personaly never heard of bubbles surfacing from under a glass screen lol but if it should be true i would exchange the phone and be done with it. Or check your roof for leaks
I saw it on forums, But the people had cheap phones. I will must exchange it...
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Free mobile app
So we are waiting for your feedback after exchange
Hey guys, so I did not exchange it yet, but I discovered interesring fact, so when it's cold, there are no bubbles on screen, but when it's warm, its much more visible... And I think the mistake is on digitizer because i can clean it, so it is not under display
I went swimming with my ssw3 earlier today, it was never below 30cm and i had showered with it earlier that week, but ever since my swim it doesn't turn on. It has been charging for 3 hours now but still doesn't work :/

It is not for swimming at all.
Water pressures during swimming are higher than IP68 standard.

When you put it to charge, does the screen show anything? Try to put the watch into a jar full of rice.
