Alright so this is by far the easiest way to root. First time no problems. Props to the guy over at the unlockr.com. Here's the link.

Please stop posting this. Not only have you posted it at least 3 times, it isn't going to work. You couldn't have rooted with this method unless you have already flashed the engineering rom.

He has been reported to cyberpolice, and if he posts it again consequences will never be the same!
Sorry I ruined everything
It's really great to have you guys helping me out. I thought I might help someone else with what I found.
1. Yes it did finally root and it worked flawlessly first time. I spent several hours of wasted life trying the loop command that never worked. This requires no loop in ADB. So I was very happy to share my knowledge.
2. If you check my thread I started a month ago I got a bunch of grief because I was asking legitimate questions that others were having a problem with as well.
3. The threads I posted was to help others like me who couldn't root their phones. It's not like I'm trying to ruin the XDA site for you. I come here because I get info that helpful people share with me and try to return the favor.
I wasn't born with a computer attached and maybe you guys were. Likely though you had to learn like the rest of us from other people being nice enough to share their knowledge.
Maybe I should've posted this link instead. Here!
I am trying to install http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521276 <-- that rom on my fascinate and i have a question what is cwm fixed for cm7? and how do i flash it?
refer to section 4 of my guide here in the general section...you cant miss it!
check the guide as stated if you cant get it after that I wouldnt even mess around with it.
I would read the guide, and then try to read as much from the threads as you can so you can get an idea of the terminology, and what to do if you brick your phone.
Sorry for dumb question but I am not able not excerpt the important steps of all these help and guide threads to install a Rom on my brand new nexus 7 without 3g. Hopefully someone can give me a guide
thanks in advance

You need to unlock boot loader, flash custom recovery and then flash roms.
Its best to search and learn for yourself to be honest. If you are fed the information on a plate, you will learn nothing whatsoever.
There are plenty of guides and help resources on Google.
This isn't me trying to be ignorant, it really is the best way as when or if you mess up, you will then need 1 to 1 help which ends up consuming massive amounts of peoples time.
Hey guys. So I've been reading on how to flash to CM mod, and I'm getting confused on what needs to be done. Is there someone that could help me via PM or chat? I've never done a phone flash before so I'm utterly newbie on this. My phone is the D800. Let me know.

look in g2 android development just over 5/8 down the page is root your g2YAY! - I would do a bit more reading first and if you root make sure you have a recovery twrp or cwm and make sure to back up before changing anything its really worthwile reading up on the subject as you can get yourself in a mess if you don't know what youre doing its quite possible to flash back to factory but that is another story not very hard but read read read before doing anything
Hi i own the galaxy s4 i9505, which is on stock firmware etc, ive rooted my phone and im trying to get a custom rom, however everytime i go into recovery mode i see the dead android guy with a red exclamation mark in a triangle and it wont install a rom, ive tried using triangle away but that isnt working can anyone help please?
I think i triggered knox aswell
Ive searched high and low across the net with no joy.
Thanks guys.
Great forum btw.
You need a custom recovery
Sorry i asked jesus.
Eh? I provided you with the exact answer you needed, which is - you need a custom recovery (to flash custom ROMs)
@DSA: You provided him the answer he needed, but it wasn't the answer he wanted to hear. Thus the ungrateful and snide remarks, as if being snide was somehow magically going to change the correct answer.
@mortalwombat36: We don't spoonfeed here. Not only do you have to read things to know what you're doing, but you also have to understand them as well. Snide remarks and childish insults won't get you anything but a lot of people laughing at you.
