If you are talking about the Device Information *#*#4636#*#* Option that forces to use LTE only. Then you must be rooted first then download Advanced Signal Status on Playstore.
But if you are talking about the natural way. Just go to Settings > More Networks > Mobile Networks > Network Mode, then set LTE/WCDMA/GSM

I'm rooted but theres no option of lte in network settings.
I remember editing a file before and got that option on 4.3.

I have an att unlocked lg g2 d800 with stock kit Kat on it 4.4.2 and I am only able to get 4g, no LTE. I have tried multiple APN settings, none of which work. Other people suggested going into the hidden menu and then changing the RAT Selection to LTE only, but I don't have the RAT option show up. Another suggestion was to use *#*#4636#*#* and "set preferred network type" to LTE/GSM/WCDMA but once again this option is not showing up. How can I enable LTE?! I have attached some screenshots with info. Thanks.
Before upgrading to lollipop, I used to use *#*#4636#*#* code, for selecting GSM/WCDMA/LTE manually. I upgraded it to lollipop last night, but the code does not work now.
Does every body have any experience? Is there any replaced code or app?
I didn't have GSM/WCDMA/LTE in network mode on kitkat so i used an app called 4G LTE Switch which does what the *#*#4636#*#* code does.
But after the lollipop update I got GSM/WCDMA/LTE in mobile network menu so I don't need it anymore.
You should check to see if you now have the setting available,if not try that app or some other apps that do the same thing.

Yeap, I checked it; unfortunately the upgraded ROM does not have GSM/WCDMA/LTE to select. Thus i need to use *#*#4636#*#* again

Hey buddy, thank you, it works
I able to active LTE network selection before i upgrade to LP and now the option still there (3845#*802#) but its never set to the setting we activate rat selection from dial code. is there any option without root or custom rom?
So, I've used this phone on the TMO network in the past by following a guide that showed me how to use the GSM network with the hidden menu options in the dialer. But, right now I'm planning on selling the VZN Note 3 with its default network settings and am wondering if flashing the stock rom resets the hidden menu options back to default (VZN). Thanks!
