Please help me, why it gives error.

Open your update zip file, in META-INF -> com -> google -> android, open updater-script with notepad. Delete all rows content ASSERT (it's seem in first line). Update your update using CWM again.
Have fun.

[Q] "wingray" ClockworkMod?

I'm trying to flash the OTA with CWM, and the assert
Code:
assert(getprop("ro.product.device") == "wingray" ||
getprop("ro.build.product") == "wingray");
failed. I suspect that's caused by "stingray" here and there in /default.prop and other places in CWM.
I have flashed the original boot partition and I have checked all the asserts for patches, and I'm sure that they would not fail with "applypatch -c".
So is there any "wingray" version of CWM? So I can flash it and then maybe I can flash the OTA?

Currently sitting in the same boat. I have a US Wifi Only Xoom sitting on HTK75D. I did have a custom kernel Installed which i removed my installing "update_US-Xoom-WiFi-3.2.1-HTK75D_stachre_v02.zip" which just installed the factory boot.img that removed the custom Tiamat kernel. Once there I attempted to install the OTA and receive your same Build.Prop Issue. I first attempted with CWR and then proceeded to Install the Tiamat Recovery that is available on http://www.droid-life.com/2012/01/1...eam-sandwich-we-have-a-flashable-zip-for-you/ and still in the same boat.
Hope we can figure this out and get some tasty ICS soon.
Subscribed b/c I have the same problem, though I had the stock kernel. Also had problems getting it to boot into the CWM recovery vs the stock recovery, but when I'd get it into CWM, this is the error I'd get.
Same here. And my Xoom was stock. I've never tried any mods until now.

Finally I gave up CWM and went to stock recovery.
I grabbed stock rom from
developer.motorola.com/products/software
"Build HWI69 for US Retail"
, extracted recovery.img,
and flashed recovery in fastboot mode to it.
Then I flashed the OTA in stock recovery and then flashed back CWM recovery...
Now it seems to work fine... I've gained root access again by flash su-install.zip...

Did you use OTG or SD card for flashing the ICS OTA? Or maybe something more exotic you can share with us...
Nothing new, just OTG, sorry...
since you are using CWM recovery you can modify the OTA package without worrying the signature issue.
so,
1) extract the zip package to a folder.
2) open META-INF/com/google/android/
3) use any text editor you have to edit the updater-script file.
4) remove the assert statement
5) repack the folder into a zip package
then flash it with CWM recovery, and it will probably work

If it doesn't run like crap, it's working. PB is just regular ICS hardware acceleration but more efficient. Basically, if it runs as well as Aurora, it's probably working.

I think the problem is really insuficient space in system partition (we have 220mb, but the rom, unzipped has more than that, I think the solution is just delete useless apk's and it should work. Will test that)

I have the repartitioned space as well, I did it because I needed the space to install Google Now on Aurora ICS. I never changed it back, since we never use the internal sd and that space is now available to install apps.

[Q] Update using Mobile Odin Pro

}
The file is an update.zip of about 95Mo in /Cache/Fota.
I thought I should be able to install it with Mobile Odin Pro to not loose Root rights.
But no way, Mobile Odin does not recognize the file from menu "OTA / Update Zip" or from "Open File after copying the file from /Cache/Fota to a folder than Mobile Odin can see.
Message : This is not an OTA / Update Zip file ! ZIP files containing partitions are nor supported. Do you want to extract the ZIP file instead ?
If I click extract, I get : An unknown error occurred during extraction.
So, do I apply this update by clicking on it (see capture) ? will I loose Root Rights ? Or will Mobile Odin Pro detect it and apply it itself preserving Root rights ?
I also downloaded G900FXXU1ANJ1_G900FOXX1ANJ1_G900FXXU1ANJ1_HOME.tar.md5 from Sammobile
So if I apply it with Mobile Odin, will I keep all my applications, contacts, SMS, .... or does it revert to a basic stock ANJ1 rooted rom ?

Just download the whole new rom from Sammobile and flash that with Mobile Odin Pro and delete all OTA, FOTA and Firmware_Update files in /system/app/ and /system/priv-app/. BTW Forget about OTA`s and Kies when you are rooted or you`ll get into trouble.

How to extract your system.img with ext4 unpacker on Windows

Extract any app or system files in Windows with ext4 unpacker.
Very useful if you delete accidentally system app or you need to extract build.prop and local.prop
Works great on my Win 10 pro .
Using Huawei Update Extractor to extract from Update.app system.img on any firmware H60

Extract any app or system files in Windows with ext4 unpacker.
Very useful if you delete accidentally system app or you need to extract build.prop and local.prop
Works great on my Win 10 pro .
Using Huawei Update Extractor to extract from Update.app system.img on any firmware H60
After extracting system.img open ext4 unpacker and select it
Right click and select the folder or file you want to extract

Yes I use root browser and root expoler...also I can't find data file
Maybe problem with me only
You must have data folder, your user apps and system stuff is stored there. Do you have root? Your Screenshot show the internal storage not the system main index

No ..I don't have root
Without root you can't access the system partition. If ur on an international rom, u can try to flash userdata from B133 rom with fastboot, then you have working themes

Thanks and great job. Now I can freely switch between the international and Chinese roms

After fastboot user date
It's working without root
Guys I have root and tried to do what is described in OP but 2 things: There is no hw_init folder inside the data of the system partition. I created one and copied the hw_init folder inside the zip. Nothing happens. I can't change any theme... Also I cannot change even the lockscreen photo...

Yes i thought it was that you meant. I already tried that but the same outcome. I cant change theme or lockscreen image. Just the background and the lockscreen background gets the same with the general background
Flash userdata from B133 with fastboot

PS It doesn't work in any way! I even flashed B133 rom with fastboot from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/general/nxt-l09-nxt-l29-stock-rom-b133-download-t3311839 but there must be an error at the syntax of this command "Fstbut Flash agile Kstkimg" i did the other 3. Then I did flash the 162 rom through TWRP the same! This does not want to work!!! I lost 4 hours and still I am at the same place I was before.
If someone with AL10 device and L29 firmware has succeeded let us know how please...
Step 1: download file
Step 2: unzip or extract file
Step 3: copy or move unzipped file into /data
Simple as that. Don't create any new folders or look for any folders named HW_init. Because it doesn't exist. That's why you're putting this file there

Probably the ones that DO get that to work have already L29 device with L29 firmware or AL10 device with AL10 firmware. I have AL10 device with L29 firmware. I suspect that is the culprit.

No, the mistake you made was creating a HW_init folder. Don't create one. Simply copy the unzipped file you downloaded and move it under /data
