In the latest update of S healh there's a new stress level indicator, here in Canada even with the latest update i can't find it in S health... The change log says available in certain countries... I guess Canada is not one of them. Is there a way to still get the feature working ?
Thank you

I'm in the same boat. Did a tonne of research on the Internet, only to find mildly constructive suggestions such as "reboot your device".
So, like a self-respecting sheep I rebooted and rebooted till my reboot finger fell off and I no longer can reboot.
Since I lost a finger, I was forced to type this with my ear.
Still missing the stress sensor feature on S Health, Rogers SM- G900W8
What versions are your S Health apps? Mine is version 3.2.0.0003 and has the stress level module.
I have the same version and dont have the stress level indicator...

V3.2.0.0003 in Canada doesn't have stress sensor. What kind of devilish taunt is this ?
Sent from my SM-G900W8 using Tapatalk
I have 3.2.0.0003 in South Africa with the stress level module. It appears to just measure your heart rate for a bit longer that normal. Maybe it picks up irregular beats?

I have a feeling that it is because you are running a custom ROM which has disabled country-wise restrictions.
Or maybe one of the Samsung execs got hit by a hockey puck covered in maple syrup and thus now they hate us
Another question about S Health, but slightly off topic..
Has anyone been able to get the Runkeeper app to sync with S Health? In settings I have the sync option turned on, but it doesn't seem to carry over any information, which is extremely frustrating.
I use runkeeper to track my gym training as well as other options that S Health doesn't support (Rowing, Stair climbing, skating, etc) but even with the sync option turned on, nothing that I've tracked in Runkeeper shows up in S Health.
Any info would be great..

My phone's dead so I can't give you the exact details, but there are some features on the map that runs all day.
- history - it tracks where you go every day and every second. turn it off so it doesn't detect your location every second.
- latitude - tracks your location and reports to our friends.
Just go through the settings and turn a lot of these sharing info off. I'd think you only want to use the map for the map and GPS feature anyways.
Will try this and report. This is my 2nd s4, return 1st due to overheating issue. I am very disappointed s4 so far.

My battery's been pretty good so far. And it doesn't matter how long the battery lasts, what matters is how much you've used your phone during that time, i.e. screen on time. Well for completeness, it's really a combination of the two. So what kind of screen on times are you getting for a full run?

Google maps is known for wakelocks. They need to fix this ASAP. We should leave reviews commenting on this. Tested through betterbatterystats
Weird you guys are having battery problems. I charged my phone till 100% and listened to music for 7 hours and then went to bed and this morning without any charging is at 52%. I have a lag thread in the general section that might help. Also in Google Maps Location Settings, turn off using GPS and just use mobile networks. Turn off bluetooth and wifi while not in use.
Should be fine from there.... (I don't even have power saver on or anything)....
Just like mediaserver wakelocks, it is not directly related to google maps, but could be one of your applications trying to use the GPS service through maps to find location causing the wake lock.
If you have Google Now enabled, that can drain your battery faster than if you have it off, because Now is constantly figuring out where you are and then reporting back to Google. This can cause even more drain if your cell signal is weak or if it can't get a GPS lock. Making sure Wi-Fi is on, even if you aren't connected to a Wi-Fi network, will make it easier for your device to locate you.
If you want to safe some battery, disable Google Now completely.
Additionally, here are all the Apps I have disabled on my device in order to save battery:
AT&T DriveMode
AT&T FamilyMap
AT&T Hot Spots
AT&T Locker
AT&T Messages
AT&T Navigator
AT&T Smart Wi-Fi
BlurbCheckout
ChatON
Flipboard
Group Play
Mobile TV
PageBuddyNotiSvc
POLARIS Office 5
S Health
S Memo
S Translator
S Voice
Samsung Apps
Samsung Link
Samsung Push Service
Samsung WatchON
Story Album
Synchronize
TripAdvisor
YPmobile
Your mileage will vary. Don't disable apps you may need/want to use.
I've noticed the past few days google services is taking a chunk out of the battery life. I have BetterbatteryStats and Wakelock Defender and i cant identify the specific app causing it. If i do a battery pull the usage goes down but it eventually comes back up even on a voice call the percentage drops but then raises again to a really high percentage im at a loss here need some guidance. I have taken some screen shots

I have found the solution to this issue:
1) System settings
2) More tab
3) Location Services
4) Uncheck Use wireless networks
This will eliminate the excessive use of Google Services battery life. And you will still have location based access app wise.

Yup. I did as you suggested.
I have looked more into this issues and Google services boards are flooded with users having this same issue in 4.2.2. It seems that it's actually the the new Google maps that came with it as indicated by a few users here. http://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/mobile/U0MjxOQl3w0
Users have discovered that the v7 of Google maps is constantly trying to find location, even if a user has disabled it under the phones settings. It's not allowing the phone to go to sleep. As you can see is this screen capture, Google services ran 10hrs43mins out of the 14 hours my phone was off the charger.

Try this uninstall the newest version of Gmaps afterwards your left with the previous version of Gmaps then open the Google Play app and you'll see an update to Gmaps and install it then restart your S4. Monitor it from there for a day or two.

Just noticed this issue. I wonder if this has anything to do with the new Maps update? I never had this issue on my S3.. then again I was on a custom stock rom.. As now I'm on the MF3 update...
I'm not so sure why Google doesn't push those updated too all the devices. Therefore, I am asking myself if it's normal or if it can do any harm if we update it ourselves?
I have Google Play services 4.1.6 and do not experience that issue. So it is not consistent. But there are so many individual tweaks we do that it may be difficult to track down.
Go to the google browser, then settings, find "location" and uncheck the locations settings there and see if this works. Or do a factory reset and then just uncheck every features that comes with the fresh reset on my GT-I9505. Then go to Google play app store and turn off "automatic updates".
My battery record is ~ 3 days and 1h watching Youtube, twitch surfing internet in 100% screen contrast an hour or so on, playing games but this includes the GPS, Wi-Fi and Mobile data, sync when not used. Not joking. I'll be uploading screenshot soon enough.
Same problem for me on S III using JB 4.1.2.

Figured out whats causing my google services to use crazy amounts of battery... the culprit was samsung push service.. removing the latest update and going back to the factory version fixed the problem for me... the update was released the aug 8th tho so if u had the problem before there might be something else going on as well idk removing the push service worked for me tho main battery consumer is screen and android now

There may be unintended consequences for unchecking use wireless networks. If I understand correctly, this may interfere with the ability of device locating apps to locate a lost or stolen device. Can anyone confirm?

Pretty much standard Samsung behaviour (Note 3 is the same)
Get shot of Samsung apps (just freeze HUB as it causes rotation problems on the N3 and may on the S5 also)
Log out of your Samsung account
Turn off GPS
Turn off Air/Gestures etc unless you really need them.
If you can rid your device of G+ and Google Search etc as they hog processes also.
Keep your syncing to a minium, try not to have every app syncing all the time at once, stagger the sync time a bit.
Grab Wake lock detector and monitor what's keeping your device awake/ using processes etc.
Usually, a debloat on Samsung devices tends to sort out Android System, But I noticed after I moved to Kitkat on my Note 3 that Android system rarely dropped below 18% or so, unless I used an AOSP ROM.

Hi,
A couple of days ago I updated my S5 to G900FXXU1ANE2 with Kies 3 from my PC.
I've noticed worse battery life, but I guess its too early to judge so I'll give it a week or so and a few more cycles.
However, I have noticed that during ALL games the battery gets ridiculously hot. I've never had this on any previous firmware updates. If its related to the flash/firmware then I am tempted to go back as it never used to get hot and battery life was a couple of days.
I know there will be some stock answers advising me to do a factory reset, but I'd really rather not.
Cheers,
GG

Mine works fine without the wipe.
I was just sharing my experience as I just got the phone the day before. I had the phone all set up it was working fine on Android 6.0.1. I downloaded the app this afternoon, did the registration, went into my setting and checked for an update and it downloaded nougat. The one thing I have found is that Bluetooth sucks! Seriously my music breaks up with it just in my pocket and I'm wearing Bluetooth headphones. Then I took it out of my pocket and put it on the counter and I can't get 5 feet away from the phone and the music breaks up again. Prior to the update I could go to the gym, put my phone down and be a good 40 feet away and it would still work fine.

Thanks to this thread I installed the beta Nougat OS.
Nothing bad so far. I did NOT wipe or remove data.
So far, I really like it. The SoTP meter says it's faster. Only thing that doesn't work so far is my Agenda Widget. Love the improved AOD. Battery seems to last a little longer, but not enough experience to say definitively. I did notice that the phone was warm when at 100% this morning. Haven't seen that since the update that stopped us charging to 100% (even though the display said it was).
The options in Settings are better- much better control of notifications.
I'll post more as I discover it.

Sprint users were part of the beta too, so it shouldn't be like rollouts in the past. Although I don't understand why we've been testing 7.0 and the final is supposed to be 7.1.1, unless Sprint stays on 7.0.

If sammy sends them 7.1.1 them that's what we will get. 7.1.1 isn't that much different from 7.0 just a few features added like app menu short cuts which wouldnt take much for them to add in the final release .I really dnt get how beta is over with all bugs not fixed. I personality still have an issue with Youtube videos not working after some time. Notification tones stop working after some time. No factory reset or caches clear has fixed this in the whole beta process.
