Hello everyone,
This is the current issue I'm facing, just after flashing a ROM coincidentally.
I plug the USB 3.0 cord on the original charger, I get 1800mAmph charge (seen on the galaxy current app) and yet it will not charge and it will constantly give me the notice that it is not charging.
Any thoughts aside from broken battery? Seems as I am able to charge in some random places but not all, it's a bit of hit or miss.

Hello community.
I am experiencing this problem since around three weeks. My Nexus 7 won't charge with full speed, I even think it is only charging with lower than the half of the rated 2 amps of the stock charger, or even less. As you can see in the attached screenshot, it behaves like it is receiving zero to none power, but the status sais it is in fact charging... I am using CoolTool to monitor the charge rate. While the screen is on and my tablet is just sitting there idle, it is "charging" with about -50mA (slowly discharging) and while watching youtube videos, it discharges with about 450mA. While the screen is off, it actually charges with arond 400mA MAX. While I was typing this it discharged with around 300mA.
I have not checked the resistance of the stock charger nor the cable, and I have yet to try making myself another fastcharge cable.
I am using the stock charger with the stock charging cable, and I recently upgraded to the latest SlimRom and FauxKernel.
Is this some kind of software failure or is my tablet/charger/cable broken?
Is someone experiencing similar problems?
(I have problems uploading pictures, google drive must be sufficient)

All i can think of is ur using low amp charger try using official 2.1amp charger that came with the device.

Hello guys,
I have a annoying problem with my beloved 9505. The charge current changes each time i plug the charger in and out. I've tried with the stock cable and with my n10 cable. I have to plug it in and out until it hits 1200 mah (the highest I can get) - i were able to hit 1900 some time ago (after switching from the n10 cable to the stock), but then i began to act up, like the n10 cable did.. and now it's really annoying! Is it a defect charger port? Maybe it needs a cleaning? I wasn't able to find any info on others with this issue.
Did you flash any kernel? And by the way, as far as I know, it only up to 1200 when screen is on, and 1900 when screen is off

On the OEM charger you should be seeing 1200mA with the screen on and 1900mA when the phone has just come out out of sleep.
My S4 has so far burnt through 3 USB cables (yes, there's such a thing). If you're seeing weird values such as 760 mA etc try with another cable.
Actually it's kinda weird, you see, I have 2 Samsung cables, one from my older s3 and one from the current s4.
If I plug s3 cable into s4 charger, it never reaches such high current...
Perhaps some trick on the cable?
Yes, the cable is fried. 2A proves too much for many USB cable even if it works at the beginning.
Hello again guys,
I am using the "[ROM]KOT49H【4.4.2】Google Play Edition" ROM which uses Ktoonsez kernel. The kernel has various charge-settings (including fast charge). None of them affects my charging current. I already tried a new cable - the original.. My n10 cable stopped working. The cable is acting fine again, but had a weird period, which led me to start this post
Maybe I should try another kernel, although i wrote in the thread and asked if others had experienced issues with the current, but nobody replied, so i'm gussing that it's not a issue.
Maybe it's the charger port that needs cleaning? Could that be possible?
Dear Developers,
for the last 3 to 4 days i have been facing a strange issue my S4 is not charging with wall charger but it charges on laptop that is a bit slow
I couldn't understand what's the issue i was using custom rom but after this issue i revert back to Stock rom and the issue is still present. I have tried different chargers and adapters but no success.
I searched on internet and found many ppl were facing the same issue but couldn't find the solution.
- I tried Flashing the ROM again
- turning Off developers Mode help me a bit it charges for some time but again stopped charging.
I got icon of charging on screen but in actual it isn't charging.
I am guessing it's a ROM or software issue otherwise if it was hardware then it won't charge at all.
Please suggest Solution for this Plz
I don't believe software is the cause of this. You've tried multiple ROMs and all of them display the same symptoms. Also, the S4 does charge through the USB port, though slowly. That's to be expected as a USB port on a PC or laptop only puts out 500MAh of juice and does it through two of the four pins in the USB cable. Through a process of elimination, we have to rule out software here and focus on hardware.
You'll want to try a different USB cable in going from the S4 charger to the phone, if you haven't already done so. If you have and are still getting the same result, then the problem is internal to the S4 itself. The most obvious place to start looking for a problem is with the MicroUSB port. Check for signs of damage there. If there isn't any damage that you can see, then the problem is deeper within the S4, and may need to be looked at by Samsung service.
Hello,
i'm new here and i'd be glad if someone can help me. So i got my phone a month ago and i noticed that while its charging (with the original charger) and while using it in the same time it almost does not charge at all, still when it's not used it does actually fast charge. As a previous samsung user, i never had this issue with samsung phones (they always fast charged even on heavy use).
That's one problem, the second one is scrolling isn't smooth. Yet my internet speed is 1GB at home although i don't see it related, overall scrolling let's say for example Facebook, snapchat, browser, it gets slow at few times and it ain't smooth like i expected it to be.
My device isn't even rooted so i haven't messed with it anyhow, running usual diagnostics and clearing apps regularly, downloaded just few social media apps so no heavy games on the phone but still i can't figure out if it's just my phone or is it the lg g6 like that.
thank you
1st i wanted to mention maybe the problem is your outlet in house but, yes G6 is charging slower when you use it on your charger.. And when it comes to fast charging to mine it tooks 1h and 40min from 0-100% bit slower than competiton models, but again fast enough.
When it comes on smoothness i am on V10T EU update and the phone has no laggs at all. It did had on past versions. But with this V10T i hadn't had any smoothness issue.. It really is great, and for playing with the phone while charging i wouldn't recommend that. It can really take effect on your battery.
Powered by LG G6
The scrolling lag sounds like there might be something making the phone work hard. Heavy usage would also make it charge more slowly than expected, because some of that power is going to operate the phone rather than into the battery. BUT I don't think it would prevent the "fast charging" text on the display.
It is remarkable how badly-behaved apps can be - I'd remove/disable your apps one at a time and see if one of them is responsible.
Try a fully compliant aftermarket quick charge 3.0 charger, it should charge much faster. Unlike a QC 3.0 charger, the charger bundled with the phone does not include 12V charging mode, so it's not allowing the phone to charge as fast as the phone can handle (the phone is fully quick charge 3.0 compliant and can charge faster than the bundled charger is capable of doing).

Yup, that's true. BUT I have s7 and g6 and both are slowly charging when I'm using them, phone would get too hot if it would fast charge while using it
I appreciate all your replies guys. Thank you.
Although i noted i dont have any heavy apps or heavy usage, the scrolling lag seems like a lag to me because i got used to faster phones before. Or maybe it is the original cable i need to change as you guys said. Anyway thanks again
I also encountered slow charging problems, but it seemed to be the cable, in some position it worked and in some it did not. I've bought an one plus dash cable for about 10 $, red one, and no problems since then. The cable is more thicker and robust, I highly recommend it.
Hi, I've got this problem: sometimes when I plug my G6 to the charger, a popup message comes out saying:
Charging slowly
Try the following if charging is slow:
- make sure to completely remove any water or debris from the USB ports.
- reconnect both ends of the cable.
- use the charger and cable that came with the phone.
Sometimes, instead, the phone starts charging normally with fast charging. If that popup comes out and I try to unplug and plug USB cable a couple of times, the phone starts charging again with fast charge.
Sometimes, when the phone is already charging with fast charge, suddenly the phone stops charging for a couple of seconds and starts again (I notice it because of the popup sound that comes if you plug the phone to USB)
I even tried to clean USB port, swapped the original USB cable with Anker cable but still using the original LG charger.
Of course there is no water in the port, otherwise a moist detector message would appear.
Has anyone experienced this problem? Can I solve buying a new charger? I'm afraid USB port might be broken

I did it recently after I upgraded to Oreo but this was happening even before I did reset the phone.

Yeah i found that funny that LG lied and tried to get by on using the chargers from the failed lg G5 shipped with the G6. They only support 2.0 charging so just use the cord and use another 3.0 block or get a portable 3.0 power pack. They are 20 bucks on amazon. Good ones too.

can this be a good charger?
I bought an used G6 without charger but I have a Pixel charger model GL0102 and when I plug the phone I cant see the fast charging notification on the screen. It only say charging.
Hello everyone,
After a long discussion with Samsung and absolutely no help I have ended up here. I recently updated my firmware on my Galaxy S8 Unlocked SM- G950U(Sprint Network) to the latest build G950USQU2CRC5. After this update I can no longer charge my phone and have fast charging. This is with original cable and charger as well as other cables and QC 3.0 compatible charger. Interesting enough when I plug into my QC 3.0 power brick it tells me that the phone is pulling 5v 1.5amps (7.5w) when it normally says 9v 2amps (18w). Also, only my QC 3.0 compatible car charger will make it fast charge . WTF is going on? I have already gone through settings, soft reset and also cleared cache. Nothing seems to fix this problem. I also get (Slow Charging ) notification at times. Does anyone know a workaround or a fix? Is anyone else experiencing this same issue? I have called and alerted Samsung of this issue. Please help if you can.

I seem to be having the same issues won't charge at all with the Samsung fast charger but it will charge in the car and my USB outlet and a Chromecast charger. Updated this morning to the latest firmware, also unlocked gs8
Sent from my SM-G950U1 using Tapatalk
Okay so what I have found out is even with the cable and a few setting changes it will occasionally say it is fast charging however it never pulls more than 5v which defeats the purpose of quick charge.
Disgusted...
Same here; disgusted with the entire issue... Pay good money, longtime loyal customer, trust now eroded... Even went through reformatting the phone, did not help; waste of time... Thinking of switching to iPhone...
It's the cable and/or power brick. Also we're still on march secuirity, Sammy ain't that fast.
I have the same problem, when I upgraded from android 7 to 9, I lost the fast charge, I'm trying to find a solution.
the usb port says it is wet.
when the cell phone is turned off it is constantly informing that it is wet and the phone is trembling.
when it is on, it charges, however in a normal way, without the fast charge
solved.
