used tempmonitor
my phone is currently on stock rom (nonrooted 4.4.2) and it is on idle with wifi on and facebook and twitter in the background.

Yes, it's normal.
It's a Handheld Computer with the Power like a Laptop or Desktop PC. [emoji2]

thank you! i think im being to paranoid. while playing games i notice that the part near the camera is getting hot. is it normal? and can you post your temperature so i can compare? thanks!

Obviously, if you play games, device needs to generate more power and use more battery. All the battery power is used to run the CPU, in order to process data, as a result you get heat and data.

do you guys have the same temp as mine when idle? idk if it affects the temperature but its really hot here in the Philippines.

Don't worry, everything is fine.
I don't play with my Note, but if I stream Music, Navigation active and surf the Web at the same time, the temperature goes to 40°C
playing games is much more cpu work.
Enjoy your phone and relax

Thank you! Finally. One guy told me my phone's motherboard was broken. So yeah i went nuts and asked almost every forums.

Lol [emoji2]
Every Device with a CPU goes warm. If this is a issue , so my TV, Laptop, PC and so on is broken
All devices have a aktiv or passiv cooling unit, just Mobile Phones don't have. 43°C is under this circumstances a good result.
Hope you understand my bad English and you know what I try to told you?

yes. I understand. thanks man.

can i ask what is your normal idle temp? (cpu)

Idle seems around 40 as well for me, today is quite a hot day here (+31 C, not very usual in my region)

Mistake, I told you my Battery temp
Here are both in idle, wifi on and Facebook in background
Gesendet von meinem SM-N9005 mit Tapatalk

@someguyforhell
the normal temperature here in the Philippines today is 37c i think that's also a main factor why im getting 40-48 idle.
@Buell
thanks man!

Try going up to 70C° while playing games.....
Now that's not normal!
In your case, it's absolutely regular to have this kind of temperatures. Don't worry about it. If you notice the phone is getting hot(not warm, but really hot), then it's not normal...

in comuter saying 24 hours and in phone saying 30 minutes.
Googled. Found this:
"So I contacted Google Play and spoke to a technician.
He said that my account was under review and that I need to wait 48 hours till I can make another purchase.
He also said that every time I attempted to make a purchase, the clock started over."
So wait 2 days without trying to buy anything... I don't understand why this happens but this seems to be a fix...
That dude replied after two days and said it worked for him...

I'm getting less than an hour of screen on time on my Note 3...

... it's not the weak signal. When I was at home (the green signal part), my phone dropped 10% with barely 6 minutes of screen time.
What's going on here? A big part why I moved to the Note 3 was its battery life. Thanks.

Also turn off backup, auto backoff (cloud), Sync, auto network time&timezone, and under Google Settings turn off Location.

Cpu not scaling correctly

I'm facing an odd issue on my S7 Edge, my cpu acts very weird, it seems that the 2nd processor doesn't go on at all.

Do I need a factory reset?(Yes, probably)
I'm on stock ITV firmware no root
Even under heavy loads (games, benchmarks) it doesn't kick on.

Dude, this is normal. Those last two CPU's only get activated when the phone is doing heavy duty stuff like gaming and such. Mine is the same and im pretty sure everybody's else's is to.
Cpu spy still not support stat for 2nd cpu so it doesn't show up.

Yep that is true , when i had Note 5 there were one governor that Arter97 brought that almost was perfect, cafeactive. it utilized CPU as it should be, i know because as far as cpu intensive games, Tekken 6 on ppsspp emulator is super intensive, and it worked perfect, but it had problem with heavy 3d games so it got replaced
Use other apps. Cpu spy don't show them all for exynos cpu.

Got it, thanks for the heads up! I think I'm gonna reset it anyway, it just doesn't feel snappy as it was.

Battery troubles

So most of our G2's are nearing or older than 2 years.
Lately I've been having trouble with my battery, the battery seems to last a fraction of what it did. But I also notice that sometimes it reports the incorrect battery percentages and goes up by 1 or 2 percent during sleep, it also charges much quicker than it should.
Any ideas what's wrong or is this to be expected of an old battery?
Perhaps it's worn out? Try calibrating the battery, if it doesn't work, I think it's time for a replacement.
After three years I bought a new one from eBay (15$). Usually a battery can be charged 750 times before the capacity reach is going down. Replacing is relatively easy. There are some Youtube tutorials showing the whole process. Now the battery last the whole day again.

It was sold as original LG manufactured. And it looked very similar to the thing I removed from the phone. Otherwise it would be an excellent fake, but it works good and last a day under heavy usage. The production date printed on the label was 7.2015, when I remember correctly.
I bought here
http://www.ebay.de/itm/PRODUKTION-0...00-D802-NEU-/111755761107?hash=item1a052995d3
I don't know, why he wants ridiculous 99€ now, I paid 12,90€ in March 2016.
here a pic after the operation:

Battery drain after september 2019 update?

Anyone experienced battery drain after september 2019 update or it's just my battery problem?
Works fine for me.
Same thing for me, I've noticed a huge battery drain all of a sudden since August update, forcing me to charge the phone twice a day since it got to the point where the phone was losing like 5% battery every hour in idle... First I thought the battery was dead but simply deactivating LTE does the trick for me.
I suggest you try forcing EDGE and use Wi-Fi instead of LTE, at least it's worked so far.
Haven't put an eye on that. (O_O)
Let me check. Thanks for the advise!
and I thought I was the only one with this problem
I have consistent idle screen-off usage ~0.8% per hour probably ever since I bought the phone. Use battery monitoring app and check if you really have high battery usage with screen off. It will also help you confirm if any action you take is successful or just a placebo.
Edit: It's worth noting, that if you use quite popular Whatsapp on the PC, it will cause higher battery usage of your phone. Not sure how many people realize this.
I replaced battery yesterday because my old one was really bad.I can confirm that after September update i have battery drain.

That's quite normal usage for Bluetooth (especially if you're streaming online music). My Bluetooth streaming uses about 4-6% per hour. Also screen on is perfectly normal.
