Touch Screen Sensitivity

Ok I have had my Mogul now just over a year and I just had to replace it due to unable to receive incoming calls out of my home area. Come to find out after I received the replacement phone, it was my account that was the problem and not the phone. Anyway this new mogul I am having a terrible time with sensitivity on the touch screen (not using the stylus). My old one was great, loved the phone and had no problem what so ever. With this one it is random, but it seems like I have to press extremely hard on the touch screen to get it to register. Is there a way to calibrate the sensitivity of the touch screen? I know about the "align screen" under settings but is not working.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

[Q] Milestone 2 Strange Touch Screen Problem

I've just got the Milestone 2 for 5 days and now I realize the very strange and annoying problem of the touch screen. When I played some FPS game like Nova or Sandstom, sometimes when I tried to aim the character didn't aim the way that I aim but he move that way even I did not touch the virtual move pad. I used the Touch Screen test apps to test. First I touch and hold my 1st finger to have 1st point, then I touch my 2nd finger to have 2nd point. Then I leave my 1st finger so there would be the 2nd point left on the screen but when I use my 1st finger to touch the screen, my 2nd point change to 1st point and at my 1st finger phosition is the 2nd point. It's mean 2 point had changed their position to each other and that's why that strange thing happened when I play the game. The Milestone 1 doesn't have this problem in the game and when using the Test app the 2nd point still remain at my 2nd position after my 1st finger retouch the screen. Is this a firmware bug or there is any problem with my hardware ? Please help me.

Dude, try with a screen protector, problem should disappear. I also met identical problem with my Droid 2 but I detected just after 3 days of bought, so the seller has changed the new phone for me and now its ok.
For easily showing problem, you can download a paint soft with full screen ability, start it and then do some quick swipe across the screen, you will see the strange undesired streaks appear somewhere on screen

Man, I'm using the screen protector too. The screen just fine when using single touch but it will act funny when using multi touch like play game. Mine is not the only one, my girl friend milestone 2 has this problem too. I though this is a software failure not the hardware. Just play Nova or Sandstom with the Ms 2 and you will see the problem.

Moto X Pure Touchscreen problem

Hi there.
After one month, the phone starts to tap himself in the bottom of the touchscreen. It happens on safe mode and even in TWRP so I think it's a physical problem.
I've recorded a video showing the issue:

Anyone with a similar problem? I cannot change it since I bought it in USA during a travel, I'm from Chile.

i got one that the same part of the touch screen stopped working. i think you should consider sending it back in some way

Soft keys not working
On my moto x style the Back, Home and Multitasking Bottons are Not working but in locked state I can use mic, unlock and camera button. All other area on display the touch is sensed and works but on the soft buttons area the touch is not sensed and the buttons are not working. I cannot use my mobile because of this. All it started with ghost touch, then multitask button got unresponsive.
I called to Motorola support. They advised me to FDR. Even after this I m not getting the buttons to work. So now they have advised me to return the device at repair center.

khagolsan, what was your resolution to this? I am having the same problem.

I tried unwillingly resetting the phone 2 times (once soft reset and once hard reset) as instructed by the call center expert ( ) of motorola but nothing worked. I also lost valuable call logs and SMS in doing this .
Then they suggested me to visit service center. The service center person diagnosed it as a display problem and kept the handset for 10 days for display replacement. A week back only I got it replaced free of cost, since handset was in warranty .
Now I am using it, let's hope now it will not have any problem.

Help Moto X Pure/Style Screen went black

I was using my Moto X Pure/Style when suddenly the screen partitioned in half, so when I was scrolling down the page only one half would scroll, so I turned it off and on again, it showed the booting logo just fine and the same problem, went on and turned it off and on again but this time no boot logo and no screen whatsoever, I still can receive calls, its fully functional, It also responds to touch but I dont know where Im touching.

Touch not working after screen replacement

Hi,
I cracked my Moto X Play screen and i sent it to to a lab for a screen replacement (even the screen was working).
In the lab they replaced the screen for a new one (they said original from motorola) and the screen worked for a little while but suddenly the touch is not working at all.
my question are:
1) Is there an original moto x play screen to get?
2) If there is, how do I know if the screen they put in my phone is original?
3) What could make the touch not working, and what can make it not working after it did work a while?

Does anyone have an answer?
Could it possibly happened because i tried the unlocking pattern too many times so it locked the device?
In fastboot mode it says device locked code 0 - could that lock the touch?
