My work email OWA is set up to sync with the stock Samsung email app. This is fine and I want it to continue. Somehow my text messages are also going to my work email now. I do NOT want this to continue. In OWA settings in the internet I see that receive text messages in my OWA account is turned on. It can be found under OWA settings, phone, text messaging, text messaging is turned on for your phone. I can find no option to turn it off! Please help. Thanks.

That is odd. My coworker was having the same issue as you, and this fixed it. I just checked my owa account and my status is on off. I don't know how to help you bud, sorry.

Can you believe it...was so simple.
Just enter
Pop3: mail.domain.com:1010 (1010 is the port)
Smtp:mail.domain.com:2525 (2525 is the port).
I was looking at how to set up gmail on my PPC and i realised why not import the same pop3 settings. It will automatically update the default 110 port to whatever you specify (eg.1010,2525).
MAN I LOVE MY PHONE! ...
The biggest problem I have with pocket outlook is that there is no way to provide a SMTP authentication that is different from the mailbox authentication. My outgoing server has it's own paswword and username.
I don't worry about it myself; I use the corporate e-mail system at the US T-Mobile. It costs about $9 a month, but includes SMTP service, and I can put in text message filters if desired.
I can only recieve email, not sent it, could changing the outgoing port help?
ha,dude,if you use Gmail, there's no need to change the port.just click 'Require SSL Connection' option as well as the 'outgoing..authentication' option.
I've been working with Gmail this way for 4 months.
Check this out.
I'm using my ISP account.
I use webmail
Having no luck sending with GMail either.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
I had sync the entire mail through Outlook.

Sorry, I can't help. I thought that Outlook would not show the "Click to view message", but actually show the message instead. Perhaps if you try to sync NOT Outlook, but set up your email in another way? I have Blackberry Connect and it is the same as yours currently is. I would love a fix to get a proper preview for it too.

Click to collapse
Unfortunately, even I sync my mails through Windows Live Apps, it doesn't show the preview too.
Think it depends on the sender "mail client etc" as some of mine show and others don't... Something learned to live with
Since upgrading to 4.2, I can't use gmail.com in chrome. I use it for other accounts that I haven't linked. When I first went to gmail.com it automatically logged me into my primary account which prior to 4.2 it never did before. I chose to sign out and now it's caught in a loop constantly refreshing the url but nothing ever being displayed.
Are others getting this? If not, is there a way I can clear the cookies for just gmail.com?
I can.
All I did is it auto-logged me in and I clicked the menu icon on top left and "Sign in with different account", then just logged in.

Thank you for answering. I thought such a simple request but no one would answer.
It's strange, it will keep looping/refreshing in the address bar but no content ever comes up. However, if I request desktop version of the site, it does finally come up, but desktop gmail has always been extremely slow on chrome (I think it's actually slower now). Once I got in I successfully logged out hoping that would solve it, but once I go back to mobile it begins looping again.
I don't think there is a way of clearing all cookies/cache for a particular site in mobile chrome, but if anyone knows how I'd appreciate it. Otherwise I'm going to clear all of it's cache but I'll lose my saved logins etc for other sites.
Does anyone know why this is installed by default on jb 4.3? I came across it while browsing through the installed apps section in titanium backup. Google apps policy 4.25. If you look it up in the store its says its an administrator enterprise app. I'm assuming its part of the new security stuff in 4.3. Another strange thing is that its not enabled by default. It has some pretty wicked permission privlesges. I went ahead and froze it for now.

AFAIK it's only used if you have an account Google Apps For Business account. GAFB account admin can set up and force his employees to install this stuff on their devices in order to use their accounts at employers domain. You don't need to affraid - admin can only remove content connected with accounts he administrates, so [email protected] is still 100% private (yeah I know, Google and privacy... good joke ), but [email protected] can be controlled by him anytime and anywhere.
And yes - unfortunately employer can track you via GPS all the time, make fake calls (which turns volume to 100%, no matter what), wake up your phone, etc.
Summing: it's safe until your employer is not a dck.
P.S.:
You can track your device and make those fake calls too: https://www.google.com/android/devicemanager
Every time I bootup my Note 3, a Facebook notification shows up on the Notification bar. When you click on it, it's titled "Set up Facebook account" and within it, it says "Galaxy Note III will receive the following info. ....."
This is really annoying, especially when I've already installed and logged-in to Facebook's App, now Samsung's own Facebook account keeps nagging me to login with permissions to grab my info.

It won't stop starting up every time you bootup, possibly until you log-in.
What gives?
looks like there's a similar thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2252152
Same issue here.
On my s4 I pressed decline once & it never reappeared.
That is part of Samsung's Facebook Sync... I think it can be used for when you tell S-Voice to post a status update onto facebook. You can go into S-Voice, then settings, then towards the bottom, you will see where you can link facebook and twitter.
Go to your contacts
Then press the menu
Choose "accounts"
Remove the facebook account
That anoying notification is gone (at least with me worked)
