You should full charge the battery over night. It needs 6hours or more to charge.
And let the battery go down to 10% and charge again. Do this atleast for 5 times . This way battery will coop with the phone.
You can get 2 days backup with gaming music and all.
Lastly.....dont b fooled by the percentage your phone shows. It might stuck at 1 or 2 or 3 percnt and stay for hours..
Enjoy ur 800 gram phone

Recently had a Desire DHD on an upgrade which i'm well happy with.
But i got an issue i can't bring myself to sell my HD2, It was and is such an awesome phone that i wanna keep it as a spare...
Any tips on the best way to keep it stored am i better keeping it switched on and in use than off and in a box ?
Thanks
Since so few of us have the luxury of having an HD2 as a spare, then why donate your time and your phone as a beta tester for one of the chefs?

according to this, battery should be discharged to ca. 40% before long time storage

Cheers for the info...
for long term storage it would probably be best to remove the battery.
and obv. keep it somewhere dry with a reasonably constant temparature.
or you can send it to me, I'll take good care of it for you
Take out the battery and put it into your fridge.
This is the first time i'm asking for something so i'll be quick and direct .
This battery can be bought in my country for HD2 it's 1850MAh it's HINORX
http://www.kupindo.com/kupovina/Tel...NOG-KAPACITETA-HINORX-ZA-HTC-TELEFONE/9760241
and couple of friends bought it but for native androids, and they say it really does last longer up to 30%, so I want to know if it will work on HD2 because all kernels that i've seen have support for the official extended battery. Thanks in advance for help.

I wouldnt see why its not supported . as long as the kernel has the overcharge option in it . (like to prevent it from overcharging) also i would download a battery moniter program and see if its reading the new mA values
Hi, i will buy that battery for mu galaxy ace (1700mAh), hinorx battery is abaut 10 euros in serbia so il give it a try. Cheers

Hi, got a green lens defy running CM10.
Would this 1700mAh battery work in it. (can't seem to find a UK based supplier for an original HF5X 1700mAh battery )
Figured I may as well get the higher capacity one as a replacement for my dead one.
Are all HF5X batteries the same regardless of phone model stated.
Thanks
Yes it work but you maybe need to install a batt patch.
Yes HF5X well work on Defy
Make sure u use proper battd. Also check if the battery is legit or not.

Got from ebay ,might even be the same supplier as the amazon one in first post. (slick.dealz - TheSlickZone?)
Compared to my worn out old battery this one last ages.
Keep in mind that 'fake'/non-standard batteries may go haywire and die unexpectedly and/or kill your device as their protective circuits tend to be cheap.
Personally, I would also avoid buying no name batteries. I'd rather charge my phone more often than to see my defy burning. Sometimes its already difficult to get the defy+ battery work in the defy.
Is the one OP posted definitely a fake? I want to buy original but can't find any here in the UK

I don't think so, but if you want extended battery you can try HF5X.
In the mean time I have ordered this Momax battery
http://www.expansys.com/expansys-momax-battery-for-motorola-defy-222232/
Apparently they're a little better than cheaper knock-offs from ebay. Hope it works well. My current battery has been with me for 2.5 years so it's time for replacement!!
Thought I'd let you all know the battery I got from ebay that I posted earlier in this thread as been working super, no problems whatsoever.
Seems a genuine motorola to me.
I just got my phone 2 days ago and god I'm in love. The shipping took 5 days give or take and they did an over night shipping so it was priority mail and they send it at the last minute. I recommend charging the phone completely before even though turning it on but that's me. I woke up a little while ago to an email saying I have invites to give away. I have 3 invites currently but 2 are going to be given away based on 2 people I know and if they want the phone the third one is up for grabs. So I will find it away based on a first come first serve basis. And who knows I might give the other 2 I have away if my friends don't respond fast enough. So don't stop checking till I'm completely out. Which I will state somewhere on here.
Can I have it please ?

Have fun trust me you wont regret it Ive been testing my batter out yesterday and today and it lasted me the entire day yesterday and so far its lasted me today and i havent charged it since yesterday morning. Best part is its only at 24% and thats with every single radio on like bluetooth wifi gps data and so on even the brightness is on auto haha pretty crazy. Once android L comes out its gonna be even better because i was told the android L is going to be tweaking battery life and the way it works so we might be able to push the battery life on the phone for 2 days gonna be amazing haha Anyways enjoy
Can you provide me with a invite. I would appreciate it.

I had my battery replaced today in my Nexus 6 and wow what a difference. No more stuttering sound, crashing when playing games, or shutting down at 30%. They showed me the old battery and it was like jelly and deformed. I could put finger prints in the battery!

Don't buy the cheapest batteries. See if you can find a brand or seller that you trust. Two reasons:
1) some cheap batteries have lower capacity
2) bad batteries can catch fire

I need to replace mine but the ubreak near me cant get the battery. Is there a brand you would recommend?
It's really easy, the hardest part is not stripping the cheap screws Moto used
---------- Post added at 11:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:38 PM ----------
Also the wireless charger is easy to break

has anyone been able to fix it? i know it's an old issue, but with all the research i've done there is nothing clear about the problem. there is a ton of ppl who have reported it. i understand this was 2 3 years ago. i just want to keep this phone. thx in advanced.
