I had my battery replaced today in my Nexus 6 and wow what a difference. No more stuttering sound, crashing when playing games, or shutting down at 30%. They showed me the old battery and it was like jelly and deformed. I could put finger prints in the battery!

Don't buy the cheapest batteries. See if you can find a brand or seller that you trust. Two reasons:
1) some cheap batteries have lower capacity
2) bad batteries can catch fire

It's really easy, the hardest part is not stripping the cheap screws Moto used

Also the wireless charger is easy to break

did by any chance you have the max volume bug and this fixed it?
has anyone been able to fix it? i know it's an old issue, but with all the research i've done there is nothing clear about the problem. there is a ton of ppl who have reported it. i understand this was 2 3 years ago. i just want to keep this phone. thx in advanced.
I had the same volume bug I used blackbird kernel and new battery that helped with the issue

Well its half of what google is charging for their dock (obviously). I have read a ton of reviews on both devices and you can't go wrong with either one. One pro is that it has a much bigger lip to hold your phone in. One con is that you can't hook it up to a speaker system like the google one can, at least thats what i've been told. I'm ordering the google dock later this week but if I was in your situation, i'd probably go with the one on ebay. I hope this helps.

Hey guys, has anyone worked out a way to expand the N4 storage? I got the 8GB and I never expected to get into mobile gaming so much (with my new game klip) so all the GTA's, max payne, ps1 roms etc take up far too much space, and I was wondering if there was a solution.
I've seen the one that plugs into the bottom of the phone but there is no retail version of this, I'm quite tech savvy so if there was a way to open the nexus and replace the storage I'd be up for that.

Your only option at the moment:

If it were not for the fact the N4 cannot supply power for OTG devices, you can use things such as this
To actually get it (or any external storage) you would need some sort of power supply, so more cables.
You could do a 8 > 16gb conversion. It'll cost quite a lot though.

Think of it from a business stand point. You could take in a second hand unit, but you'd have to sell it with a second hand rate. If you buy back the unit for a cheaper price, the consumer would be unhappy.
It's just not happening. I highly doubt it.
Hi google, My N4 is broken within warranty, you will likely have to replace or repair it. the consumer will get a brand new replacement of the 8gb version but is offering to pay the difference for a 16gb version (profit).
Makes sense to me? they're making money.

Hey,
Okay, so I've been using the Galaxy S2 for god knows how long and I really need to move on.. and also the fact that its battery is dying for the third time... that helped me to take the decision to go with the 6P.
There's just a major problem, I'm neither from US nor Europe... and I don't wanna pay 200$ or 300$ extra just to get it.. because the only reason i'm buying it is it has a great value in its current price..
I have seen a few nice forwarding sites, like fishisfast and usgobuy and they do look promising... I can buy from the Google Store and ship to my country and that would only cost me about 50 bucks more.. which is great...
My only concern is defective units... I've seen so many complaints on the forums here about defective units starting from the slight pink screen to speakers and the list goes on... and I'm afraid that If I receive a defective unit i won't be able to get a replacement...
is there's any safe way of getting the 6P without compromising warranty or paying like 200 extra bucks

quit buying cheap cables, and spend the money on a Samsung USB-C cord. problem solved.
My phone doesn't even get all that warm while charging. I used 3rd party wireless chargers, and either Samsung or good quality cables. Always use the Samsung AC bricks, or a certified Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 one. I wonder if this is either user fault or certain models. I'd blame poor quality 3rd party batteries, but we can't get access to the battery (that i know of).

I picked up a few extra cables from Samsung with the 30% off promo code they sent me.
Cost me about $9 per cable after the discount.
Other then the actual Samsung charger and cable a couple of times, we nightly charge with a Tylt Vu and once with a micro usb cable with the little adapter they included in the box. Didn't notice any excessive heating in any situation. Hopefully it stays that way.
All the reports I've read on this are pointing to the same issue that the iPhone was having, aftermarket USB-C cables

Actually Samsung has admitted that the issue is with a small percentage of the batteries. It may be a bit more than that. Looks like an actual recall is coming. We may all be getting a second run of the device. Seems Samsung is going to make an official announcement Friday or over the weekend and is working out the details with the Cell providers to make the exchange process easier. Time to make a backup and get ready for a new phone.

I thought it was just the Korean market/devices?
If it's all of them, that sucks. I don't have recovery haha.
From what I read in a few different articles it was less then 1% of sold n7 in the Korean market. Maybe they will recall globally just for safety concerns across the board?
If the recall does truly take place that blows, that means a new phone with a possible whole new set of potential issues like dead pixels and speaker issues. It especially sucks if the unit you got in the first place has none of the above potential issues. Hopefully they can nail down the model or serial of units that have the bad battery and exclude most of us from recall. I dont see how the recall process could be convenient by any means and a lot of people will probably have to go without a phone for a bit if they don't have a backup

i dont know about the oem being the best, ive always read that Anker outperforms OEM
and amazon is a good place to start. Be careful if you decide to get an OEM as its a known thing that some shady folks have tried to pass off some knock-off batteries as genuine even going as far as to have genuine looking Samsung stickers on them. NFC not working is one dead giveaway that its not OEM
