Hi, got a green lens defy running CM10.
Would this 1700mAh battery work in it. (can't seem to find a UK based supplier for an original HF5X 1700mAh battery )
Figured I may as well get the higher capacity one as a replacement for my dead one.
Are all HF5X batteries the same regardless of phone model stated.
Thanks
Yes it work but you maybe need to install a batt patch.
Yes HF5X well work on Defy
Make sure u use proper battd. Also check if the battery is legit or not.

Got from ebay ,might even be the same supplier as the amazon one in first post. (slick.dealz - TheSlickZone?)
Compared to my worn out old battery this one last ages.
Keep in mind that 'fake'/non-standard batteries may go haywire and die unexpectedly and/or kill your device as their protective circuits tend to be cheap.
Personally, I would also avoid buying no name batteries. I'd rather charge my phone more often than to see my defy burning. Sometimes its already difficult to get the defy+ battery work in the defy.
Is the one OP posted definitely a fake? I want to buy original but can't find any here in the UK

I don't think so, but if you want extended battery you can try HF5X.
In the mean time I have ordered this Momax battery
http://www.expansys.com/expansys-momax-battery-for-motorola-defy-222232/
Apparently they're a little better than cheaper knock-offs from ebay. Hope it works well. My current battery has been with me for 2.5 years so it's time for replacement!!
Thought I'd let you all know the battery I got from ebay that I posted earlier in this thread as been working super, no problems whatsoever.
Seems a genuine motorola to me.

I just purchased a HTC Desire Z - Tmobile HD2 version of this phone. It came w/ out a battery. I bought a 50 dollar battery from tmobile but i found one else where that was WAY cheaper. The one i found cheaper is a 1750mah 3.7v , the one from tmobile that is OEM for the phone is a 3.7v 1300mah battery. The 1750 is thicker but fits fine.
My question is, does running a 3rd party battery (although this one is from a good brand at best buy mobile, but not oem) will it damage my phone. This phone is too nice to risk, so i thought i'd ask first.
If not im gonna return the tmobile battery.
Thanks!
Wtf? it came without battery? Have u checked with Htc or the place where u bought it if they maybe made a mistake? all phones comes with battery and i have never heard anyone that got a new phone without battery :S
Hmmm, suspect much?
I also find it hard to believe it should come without a battery. Is there a "whats included in the box" list on the side of the box?

okay, forgot to add, i bought this phone from someone who sold it because they lost the battery before even using it.

okay, i have a friend, had a g2 - it went kaput within the first 2 days, tmobile sent him a new one, which comes without the battery. He was a tard and sent the whole phone battery and back back with the phone. so when he got the new g2 it had no back or battery, so he sold it to me and got a iphone 4.
but thanks for the useless nonsense of random posts all, i found a thread on battery that does not answer my questions but if i ask there im sure ill get a better response from them.
i guess knowing the backstory of how my phone didn't come with my phone is required to answer a technical questions, LOL.
i love you all
thanks anyways.

I'm pretty sure you can get both a new original battery and a new back for your phone through HTC... maybe on www.htcaccessorystore.com, through a HTC partner or on ebay

Sorry pal, i was just making sure you hadn't been scammed by a store as I was under the impression that it was bought brand new.
I've only used a generic/cheap battery in one of my old Nokias as a spare, it was the same spec as the original, and with a full charge lasted just as long as the original Nokia one. However the full charging capacity did start to deteriorate after 12 months or so, after 18 months I binned it. Can't complain for £7.50.
Let us know how you get on, I think a lot of people would be interested to know how much time you get out of it.
EDIt..... Check out the thread on batteries in the G2 section.
This thread is for all Pakistan based users. Please share your buying experience, accessories info, questions and queries regarding Network Provider based services and ofcourse your experiences with this awesome device!
To start off, I bought mine (Black, 32GB version) a couple of weeks ago, coming from the N4. Got it from a retailer I've gone to before in Zamzama, Karachi,. for Rs 72k. Quite a lot to spend on a smartphone, but I got a good price for my N4 and I really wanted this Homeshopping.pk apparently now has the silver version for under 70k on their site.
There's obviously no warranty but after speaking to Brightex Pakistan (official HTC distributors apparently) they plan on launching the One with warranty by June 22nd, or so they said. Mind you, the price for that will be quite a bit higher than the non warranty version but I suppose the peace of mind is worth it for a lot of people.
After having used the phone for a couple of weeks, and going through several charge cycles, my one and only issue with this phone - namely the battery life - has pretty much been laid to rest. Getting about 3 hrs on screen time and 20-24 hrs total time on a single charge with sync on which is great for me as it gets me through my full work day. Haven't found any glaring glitches yet (thankfully!) and the experience of using this device is completely brilliant!
Have NOT rooted and gone flash crazy yet as I want to enjoy the phone as is for a while. Am just waiting for the OTA 4.2.2 update to hit, hopefully soon The only 'accessory' I use right now is my own earphones with this set and they sound fantastic, much better than the included pair.
I've been looking for the MHL and OTG cables but haven't found them yet. If anyone has any info it would be appreciated.
Really curious to find out how many of us in PK have gotten this phone thus far so let us know y'all!

I'm thinking of getting the black but how is your experience with scratches and smudges? Is it really that bad? I'm coming from the black One X but I pretty much kept it in a minimal case most of the time.

Well so far I have not used a cover or case with it since I couldn't find any good quality, minimal, ones. There are no scratches yet but the back does get some fingerprints which you can wipe off. Admittedly since its new I have been careful enough with it but I do carry it in my jeans pocket. So far so good. I think if you're used to having a case on your phone this one will not disappoint you.
That said, I've noticed the camera lens picks up smudges much more than my previous phones. I use a lens cloth to wipe it down after a couple of days or when I can remember.
My other reasoning for not having a case/cover so far is that it just looks so darned nice without them

I think the issue would be one of power. A low power device like a thumb (usb) flash drive gets its power from our phones via the OTG cable but an external HDD requires more power than the phone can provide. Its suggested in the following thread/link that you can use a powered USB hub to power up the Drive and then the OTG will work with the phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1931990&page=2
I am in Karachi. Are you talking abt mobile mkt on Abdullah Haroon Rd.? Was hoping for some outlet on Zamama etc to have it in stock, that's closer to where I live. Let's see.

Hey guys I has anyone received the 4.2.2 update yet?
We all know that the Oneplus 2 has a non user replaceable battery. However, trying to remove the cover hiding the interiors of the device would show the battery which can easily be removed, even by newbies.
Does anyone know where we can order a replaceable battery? Is it even possible to order this from Oneplus? if so, how much would it cost?

i dont know about the oem being the best, ive always read that Anker outperforms OEM
and amazon is a good place to start. Be careful if you decide to get an OEM as its a known thing that some shady folks have tried to pass off some knock-off batteries as genuine even going as far as to have genuine looking Samsung stickers on them. NFC not working is one dead giveaway that its not OEM
