Get a Z2 for faux123 !
hey guys as you all know I recently got a donated Z2 thanks to @tpcastelli for generously giving his additional Z2 to me for development!
so I have been talking to some more devs and trying my best to get them on-board so that this device community gets the BEST developer support...
one such dev has shown willingness to work on this device! and its non other than the great kernel developer @faux123 !
yes you heard that right! @faux123 is ready and willing to work on this device if the user community can get him a Xperia Z2...
in his own words: "Z2 has a FULL DSP!!! it has amazing speaker from the specs... maybe even better than HTC"
for those who dont know about @faux123 check his work:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/search.php?do=finduser&u=3332811&starteronly=1
and his github portfolio:
https://github.com/faux123
how many are willing to pledge donations? what we can do is users can pledge donations and once the target is reached (exact figure to be confirmed yet as the device is not directly available in the US yet) we can start sending in the donations for getting him the Z2!!!
so are you guys interested?
regards,
DooMLoRD

I want to thank doomloord for creating this thread. This all started via a private conversation when we were talking about the specs for z2. Then we realizes there are some awesome features unique to z2. So in order to fully realize those features I will also need a device in hand to assist doomlord in creating his wondrous kernels.
Again thank you everyone for supporting doomlord and me.

This sounds ****ing ace!! Well, I am not a kernel / ROM developer, but getting two of the most initiative and talented guys together AT the same Xperia device is nothing more than pure, magical enjoyment.
Perhaps I should save money for the Z2 anyway..
Damn that I can't open a donation account thanks to unemployment and some other not-so-good financial things..

I just wait for root with locked bootloader, than i start with my Nano ROM.

Developing kernels is great, but will you try to find a method to backup TA partition? In this case, I can pledge a donation.

Sounds good all being well ill get my device in a few weeks for my upgrade and If you guys believe you can go places with the development of this device then I wouldn't mind contributing.

If I may ask, what kinds of things would be worked on?

I'll donate if anyone can find how to get my Bell Canada C6503 at least rooted haha, this is the most boring phone ever right now, never had a stock phone for so long haha.

Great Combinaton
This looks like a great combinations of developers. You have done amazing work on Sony side and @faux123 has made great contributions on the galaxy and htc side. I have the S5, M8, and Z2. The S5 has great colors but is secondary to the M8 but the M8 just doesn't accomplish all those things IOS users are used to. The M8 is secondary to Z2 and I have only one thing to say about the Z2 ..it is secondary to nothing! It is top Android device period. Top devices in the world are the 5s and Z2, but I am burned out on apple

I'm in for $100

I have got reports from various people that starting from the KitKat firmware (on new devices Z1 included), the special functions (like x-reality, etc) do still work after bootloader unlock!
Only that warranty may be void. But I think there is a way to circumvent that too. Just relock bootloader using FlashTool (BLU button) and for anyone checking out will seem that device was never unlocked (unless some one takes TA dump and notices that the DRM keys were wiped clean, doubt anyone in service center will go in depth to check all that)

XpLoDWilD's PopAds Kernel for Galaxy Note
Updated 30.4.12
Dev XplodWild got his note back just a few minutes back, expect CM9 experimental builds soon ..
also, awesome custom open source kernel for note goodness !!!
xplodwild twitter update: https://twitter.com/#!/xplodwild
Updated 25.4.12
Xplodwild is receiving his galaxy note this weekend, and will resume dev for the kernel and CM9 soon!
Updated 22.4.12
Team Hacksung Progress : Xplodwild & Entropy
As per Entropy:
Video hwaccel - working
GPS - Working, although GLONASS is either not being used or just reporting as not locked even though it is. Samsung's sat status interface in ICS is mangled, I need to bring gpswrapper over to this device to see what the deal is.
Stylus - Working with apps like Quill that support the standard Android 4.0 stylus API. (Haven't really tested anything else, but I know S-Pen API apps will not work and it's going to stay that way.)
Camera - untested, probably not working, I tried to implement Torch and it did not play well
Updated 21.4.12
stage 1 complete.
stage 2 complete - device ordered. project is ON!!
stage 3 complete - device has arrived already! Dev XplodWild is beginning with his kernel project on the device.
*** News - As xplodwild is waiting for his device to come back after repair... the amazing entropy is progressing with the kernel project based on xplodwilds work ... please read the last few pages of the thread for detailed updates !
Dear Friends,
I was in touch with my dear friend developer @xplodwild who is an integral dev member at TeamHacksung who are developing CM9 for the Galaxy series.
Xplodwild has been developing an open source kernel for the galaxy s2, and he would like to develop an open source kernel for the Galaxy Note as well now. Since the hardware is pretty similar except for certain changes, this can be achieveable quite fast.
So, what are the benefits of an open source kernel for the Galaxy Note?
Click to collapse
- Up-to-date forever kernel : Up-to-date forever kernel : The Kernel shall remain up to date forever, even after samsung or google come out with android 5.0+, and even when kernel will reach version 3.4.0
There is no need to wait for wait or beg samsung to release their sources. After all android and our community is all about sharing and developing with each other.
- Community supported : The project will be open source and community supported, so we can take this is another level really.
- The advantage of having "Updated drivers" - Once we have open source updated kernels and drivers, the developers can continuously work on new roms, ports and developments. and Don't have to wait for ics or other leaks from the company itself. Usually the ports don't have something or the other working (like camera, usb etc.) because the kernel sources or drivers are not available. Once we have this project running soon, we will never see an issue with future android builds or ports etc.
- Ability to do Mods
- Maybe samsung will never release sources or will release very late for each release. We don't need to be dependent on them
How to make this project Happen? Its pretty simple, we all are making it happen
Click to collapse
I would like to Thank "PopAds" and the community for supporting and making this happen. We have in a record time (less than 24 hours) collected enough to buy a note for the development, and now we head towards the 2nd stage.
Thank you!!
How much time this will take to develop?

Since, SGS2 and Note are similar so it should take some days to have it running, then it'll follow the same progress as GS2.
Check out xplodwild's sgs2 thread here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23462307 , you can see how he is making significant progress everyday and its coming to stable use very soon!
The open source kernels can be used on AOSP / Samsung Roms (with slight mods) / and CM9 based roms, for Android 4.0 +
Lets create our own community based, community driven samsung open source development program.

Cheers mate! Absolutely. I think if we all contribute, we can pave a fantastic way ahead for our phones and make development even more amazing.
Just because sammy never releases its sources so fast, or we have to be dependent on leaks all the time, which always leads to this or that not working...
we can now create ways to make the development for our phones instant and bring in so many possibilities

when we have a kernel drop from samsung for the 3.1 kernel there will be a lot of effort put into the kernel..
buying someone a note isn't the way to go about it..
I see no evidence that there's any 3.1 kernel source working properly for the sgs2, I understand they are waiting for a source drop the same as us, so why do you think this guy will get a kernel running for us, when he hasn't for them?
I was going to start working on a 3.1 kernel some time ago, but its going to be quicker to wait for the source, as porting kernels up major revisions can take quite a while.

Same as I replied there:
I can tell you myself that I got my 3.0.12 kernel running on my Galaxy S2. So far it boots, touchscreen and charger works (knowing I've been only working a week on it). I even got a 3.3 branch where I got screen working, but MALI drivers are fuct in the RC hence I couldn't get it to boot yet. But it's possible somewhat in the near future.
Knowing that, having a working opensource kernel that people understand will help having up-to-date kernel for the future. Galaxy S II users are more than happy to get it, and they're more than happy to know that they'll be able to get BLN, Voodoo sound and many other stuff and tweaks available largely before Samsung will drop the sources.
ICS leaks being delayed more and more every day, you can't be sure when they will drop the sources.
All in all, all I have to say is that it's booting. Here's an old video where screen works, but no touchscreen yet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_hhM411lHc&list=UUBMGKNICl0MqId2JPEPsTug&index=1&feature=plcp
Since, as I said, I got a couple things more. Check that on my github: http://github.com/xplodwild/android_device_samsung_galaxys2

Agree 100%
You are willing to put the effort into this. It may be good, it may not. I am willing to see it through. No software development project I have ever done has been certain. I have spent many hundreds of hours, and sometimes thousands of dollars employing others, on projects that may or may not work. Some paid off, and I keep going on the strength of that.
This is not even a commercial venture! I would not expect someone to buy a Note on the off-chance that the project will gain enough support to get that cash back. If you want a commercial product you pay on results. For an open source 'gift' to the community, I am more than willing to support an valiant effort to give us a kernel we can all benefit from. The Samsung one is just pants.
Just discussing with may very good friend (and son) here, and this type of community-funded effort just was not possible twenty years ago. I love the fact that it is now, and am more than willing to take a small chance on it!
Sorry, rambling a bit, but the bottle of wine is getting low.....

the thing is if this works out, im pretty much guessing that our notes and SGS2s will be the next HD2s and has all the rights to be. These exynos powered devices are definitely strong enough to be future proof with them kernels.

Say thanks to your favourite developer(s)!

Okay, so you are told to press the thanks button when you want to say thanks. But sometimes you want to say more. So here, you can say thanks to a (bunch of) developer(s) of your choice
So first of all, I'm saying thanks to DooMLoRD, for always keeping me on my toes when it comes to kernel development. He is more experienced than I and if I need some help he will help me
Second, to the devs that have the R800x, because I truly do feel sorry for you guys. But with the limited resources Verizon provided you with, you have done a great job.
I also want to say thanks especially to paxChristos, who just became a team mate of mine. His determination to get something done is unbelievable, and if you do something well, he will thank you well for it.
Lastly, I want to say thanks to Sony, for the Official ICS beta, I think we are your beta testers now And to KalleD especially, for providing a link between unofficial and official developers, a strong one. Its a shame you can't give Verizon a good kick up the arse though.
Keiran

I would like to say thanks to you Keiron for all your efforts and hard work!! you've made some brilliant ROMs and kernals.
Also thanks to:
Pricey2009
Nicholtus
Atarii
DoomLord
Logseman
ICX
FXP
all for the same reason really if it wasn't for all these devs putting their time and efforts in for us (and for free!) we would be stuck on sony's firmware (Not saying its crap or anything - i just like to have more choice)
Last of all Thanks to Sony (again) for all their support towards the open source community!!
Thanks ti jjdoctor and acocalypso.
Your ICS rom id great
Thx pvyparts
I specially want to thank pricey2009 for making it possible to use my favorite rom MIUI on my xplay..and offcourse doomlord and you Keiran for your awesome support for our device..cheers..

When I bought my Galaxy S, it was just the time when the phone's development picked up heavily. I started with the OCLF of Ryanza which made it faster than my brain could handle at first.
From there on I started to see what was happening around me. I saw the incredible Voodoo Project made by supercurio, which turned a good phone into a work of art, with its speed, color display and sound capabilities increased by several orders of magnitude.
And then I started following Darky. He was at first yet another theme/mod developer of the many, but then he started building something big. Passionate words, an insane update rhythm and a really cool look won me for his cause, and eventually for his tester team. His ROM grew so popular that he eventually has to create his own forum in order to manage the huge community built around it. I learned a lot of things as a tester, but what was most important is appreciating how Darky actually took a bunch of mostly clueless enthusiasts and turned them (us) into people able and willing to contribute in a fairly big measure, not because he taught us stuff directly, but because we all had to push ourselves to new reaches every day, in many aspects.
With that experience in mind, and now that a year is almost past, I can say that such knowledge, plus what I've learned, has made me not quite skilled as to be a developer (sorry, elspanish, I don't belong in that list ) but really understanding and appreciative of what developing, and particularly troubleshooting, entails beyond code.
The developers and teams that have worked seriously on our phone have been already mentioned, so I won't repeat names. All I want to say is, if you're young and eager and you're thinking about starting to develop stuff for a phone, be it the Xperia Play or any other, by all means give it a try: maybe you won't make the ultimate content for your platform (although you should aim there!), maybe you won't earn more than a couple thanks in your bar (which is not your objective anyways), but you will learn a great lot, and especially you will learn things after typing the last line of code, which are the really useful and enriching ones.
Lots of love, good luck, and start your engines.
XPlay-Swype
Thanking the following devs, although I just KNOW I'll leave someone off my list accidently!
Supervenom - for bringing the AOKICS Beta 2.3b ROM to the table. (although that ICS Beta part was a bit misleading, since it's really CM)
KeiranFTW - especially for the 4/18/2012 ICS Kernel!
DooMLoRD - for ALL your kernels !!
paxChristos - For taking up where Chevyowner left off with the CDMA for CM9 dev
Chevyowner - Miss you, man
Leraeniesh - For GBTweaked of course and for trying with ICSTweaked.
FXP - you know why
Krabappel2548 - No wonder I forgot you at first; that's one heck of a name to remember. But not as bad as "Leraeneish"
Sony - but I wish you would kick some CDMA lovin' our way !!

Stay classy, netizenmt.
Honestly, I would be doing a great injustice to all who develop and aspire to become developers by listing individuals' names here. After all, in the spirit of open source, I'd have to start with Google, cyanogen, and to any other developer who's ever started a project that we've stolen borrowed from.
Instead of giving individual thanks, I'll tell a little story. My first android phone was an LG Ally. Not much in the way of a development scene there, but we had some incredibly awesome developers, Trident being the first and foremost, in my mind. Then I moved on to the Samsung Fascinate. If anyone has looked over in their section of XDA, development is still going strong. I still have my Fascinate, but I switched to the Play on an upgrade simply for its gamepad. (I don't need to tell you why, do I?) It was this phone that made me stop and really appreciate the development that goes on with a phone, especially one that was pretty much designed to prevent such things from happening. In fact, after seeing the dedication that this phone has gotten from all of the developers here, it's inspired me to start learning more about development and the Android's system, itself. I would be much more learned by now if I wasn't so lazy about reading up on the stuff. (However, if one of you developers is willing to take me on as an apprentice, hit me up!)
So not only do I thank the developers for this phone, but developers for every phone available. We can't forget the community, though. Despite it's few exceptions, this particular phone's community is very tight-knit and helpful, even when it comes to keeping the lulz coming.

Development support thread

Hi guys...
We all saw what Sony policy to release new flagship device every six months did for development - basically - it screwed us.
Our main developers spread on XDA and future development for many devices could be very slow...
Also, we saw what happened with Xperia Z3 development, Z3 is great device but without best developers, themers or supporters there won't be custom ROMs, themes or MODs designed for it.
I talked to @niaboc79 and @serajr and offered some help.
My plan is to open on bounty thread, not for root, not for ROMs, themes or anything specifically...but to keep those two wizards in our team.
That way we'll get all the things I mentioned above.
The idea is to raise money or to be precise, donate money to Niaboc paypal account and support them.
That money will be for next Xperia devices, most likely called Xperia Z4. (two devices, one for Niaboc and one for Serajr).
This way we could be 100% sure we'll have best Xperia developers for the future.
If someone thinks we are doing a favor to them - think again.
ROM developing and MODs developing (Xposed modules) developing aren't easy and takes a lot of free time and we should be thankful and happy to have opportunity to keep those guys near.
XDA has changed, we aren't team anymore and that's not good...
But I believe we still have great guys here who knows what we are getting with this.
It's absolutely not important would you donate 1$ or 100$, what's important is your support.
We have hundreds, maybe even thousands of Xperia users who are planning to upgrade their device to Z4 and if we all support this idea and donate few bucks - we'll achieve our goal.
As I said, donation account will be Niaboc paypal account.
And I'm asking him to keep tracks about donations and post them here.
Thank you all for support!
I'm 100% sure we can do this and I'm 100% sure we are doing great thing.
If you are using Xperia Xposed by Serajr or eXistenZ or Xperia (no matter which one) you'll know I'm right
We all know who is Niaboc and who is Serajr, if you have any questions or what to ask them something (thread related) - I'm sure they'll response quickly.
@niaboc79 and @serajr
Could you please tell few words and confirm you are accepting this.
Thank you all.... And long live Xperia
We'll need all the resources in the future, among everything else - rooting method/exploit holes will be extremely hard to find and we need every help we can find.
I'll donate 40$ tomorrow, I hope there'll be many of us who'll join me...
Please, send your donations to Paypay account:
[email protected]
We'll keep tracks here, not to show who donate more but to say thank you to all who helped...
DONATIONS
@funky0308 - 30$
@lagania - 1$
TOTAL:
= 31$
You don't know who those two guys are?
Well, you are probably new Xperia users - so welcome to Xperia family.
Click on this @niaboc79 or watch this video (it's not latest but you'll get the picture who is this magician)
Sony Xperia Z3 ROM On Sony Xperia Z2 - eXistenz R…: http://youtu.be/G1JAzjQ0yM0
Same goes for @serajr
Watch this video and you'll understand why we are supporting this guy as well.
Serajr Xperia Xposed - Z3 Home "Hide Apps Drawer"…: http://youtu.be/SwtWSVOu0vc
This is just one of millions functions in this fantastic Xposed module.
I hope all goes well. Its a shame i cant donate i am only 14 yrs of age and i dont get lots of pocket money. I wish i could help.
Have a great rest of your day,
Thanks,
Mohamed
Totally agree!
It's just an honor for me to be remembered! Thank you so much buddy... you're amazing!
As I told you before and now again I confirm... whatever the outcome, all of you will have my full support, as I have always done in recent years.
And if xposed do not reach lollipop, things will be put into practice with oldschool modding method... smali editing!!
Long live Xperia development!

It's perfectly fine mate - this is support as well.
Sometimes few good words helps more then all the money of the world...
We are a community, that means that we must help others.
Serajr and me are working hard to bring you as much as we can but we need devices to work on.
The Xperia users doesn't have many developpers because Sony phones aren't as popular as Samsung or HTC.
I am motivated to keep supporting you so if all users are giving us even a few bucks we will be able to buy devices and work for you
Thanks
Cheers

Thx, that means alot to me.
Sounds good
I do believe we should mostly prioratize Z2 in development still
Its growing and we should continue to contribute to it growing.
We have Omni Rom on the way along with Multi-Rom thanks to Myself5 and Oliver
Now even if these two dont get finished any time soon you can see proof of their contributions/hardwork in github toward other users
Perhaps these two deserve to be on the list @funky0308

Absolutely agree...but we'll have to work hard on PR to kick that little greedy person in all of us to understand we can't continue without developmers support and to donate and support.
We saw last bounty thread (for Z2 buying), we hardly raised for two devices.
If you ask me, I would buy 20 devices and would give them to many developers and contributors...but...
If we add few devs more here, we will stuck at the beginning and failed.
I really hope I'm wrong but I doubt.
When we raise more then 1000-1500$ I'll gladly add few devs more to list.
This is day two and still no informations about donations (read : no donations for now)...
XDA isn't about paying someone to get root or ROM, we should support our developers every day, with a simple word or a few bucks - only then we'll have great community that could work together.
It's not about money but it's ridiculous to expect devs will buy every Xperia Sony release (even he didn't planned that) just to work "for us".

True but i was planning on trying to get my self a Xperia Z4 primarily for development reasons.(you can ask people who know me if you want proof)
My plan is to build cwm and twrp for Z4 with the help of @Abhinav2
Oliver im not sure if he would want to dev for Z4 and same goes for myself5 but if we have them onboard we can atleast expect multi-rom/cm11,cm12/Omni-Rom
@funky0308
If we are going to get devs devices then we need to get atleast the foundation devs
These devs are the ones who get the initial important things out there and doomlord is an example of this, for Z2 he brought very worthwhile devs to Xperia Z2 and faux was one, his contributions here are large
If you want proof this is for development and not greed then i can give you proof

Hehe....no one needs prof, we all know you are and who are all the guys you have mentioned.
This idea and thread is attempt to keep two guys who are very frisky on Z2, stock based development.
After hours and hours of corresponding and talking to XDA users we agreed to one thing - we need LB dev support.
I'm not trying to say Doom isn't important, he is legend of Xperia devices and without his work many things we are using now would not be possible.
As soon as we collect founds for two devices we'll continue to collect money for other developers but we are known to be extremely difficult when we should support devs and give something back...
So, lets wait and see what will happen here.
If someone wants to say "here's xx $ for doomlord" - I'm perfectly fine with it.
But if I added five devs to this bounty, our money would spread all around and we wouldn't do anything...

In which case bring [NUT] he is someone who can create recoveries for locked bootloader
Im mostly trying to get on the Z4 development bandwagon because i want to learn and contribute, Even though it isnt what your looking for it still helps those who you may not, Xperias always have strong LB support anyways, Xperia S and Z2 are examples i know very well and Xperia S didnt have any of this bounty stuff, it came along with time
Where doomlord usualy provides the first recovery and root methods ill try to since he is so busy and ive found life is hard when no one is there to do the work you cant do.
As for anything else with Z4 ill try to port multi-rom if Myself5 or Oliver wants to help however im not a dev nor a great dev but itll happen with time and patience
Also need i remind you that Xperia Z4 will most likely be releasing with Lollipop so even LB stuff will be hard, you would have to hotboot a recovery just to flash supersu and im not even sure if that can be done on locked bootloader and we definatly do need somone who can find and exploit if this is the case
We may be able to use adb to root but ill have to see on how adb acts in the situations i put it in.
I know you know of my capabilities with LB once i have recovery access @funky0308
Edit- if anyone @[NUT] is important for LB support
Grt initiation @funky0308. I see this is a good opportunity to bring devs to z4.. I have to agree on @Envious_Data on one thing.. Devs like NUT, Olivier, Myself5 are important to be on the list coz first thing, any user on xda will be needing root(lb), a recovery for lb, and custom roms for ub(cm/aosp) and ofc stock based roms.. I am not against niaboc or serajr.. They are grt devs n i am a big fan of their work.. I'm just trying to expand the list since we would be needing more devs in Z4.. I wish i could be any help in donating, but i am still a student. But atleast i hope we can contribute as a community and preserve good devs on xperia.. I remember a lot of good devs moving to sammy/htc.. One such example was letama.. You all remember him.. I suggest adding a few more devs like the ones i mentioned above to the list so that we can improve development.. Again, its just my opinion.. Peace..
I know why I said two names only and why I said those names.
Just check all bounties we had - we were struggling to raise money for two devices (and we failed, Niaboc had to add 60-70% to buy Z2)
I would like to have 10 000$ and to be able to buy device for everyone.
If we expand this list to ten names we won't do anything.
Who wants to support this - support, who don't want - just don't...
We have many great devs and contributors, it's impossible to add them all.
I know who is NUT, I know who is doom but if we want to be fair - we'll need someone as @jcase to find exploit in firmware.
For now, Z4 isn't even announced, so please, if you want to support our devs - support them.
It's ridiculous to talk about firmware which isn't announced yet...
We don't know what should we expect...and that's not subject of this thread.
I don't want to buy anything i just want to support guys who gave so much in last few years.
Even if they don't do a single thing on a next Xperia I still want to say tnx.
That's the purpose of this thread not to buy developer who will work 8 hour shift for us.
I said that in OP, this isn't root bounty, it's not ROM developing bounty or anything similar.
It's thread where we can show our appreciation to guys who work on Xperia devices and did amazing things...
So please, please, please....stop doing this - donate few bucks if you can...
This isn't true XDA spirit guys, we shouldn't buy developers, this isn't market..
We are supporting our developers no matter what, we are helping them to buy new device and we are trying to keep them near us.
That way they'll develop and we'll all have something from that.
Thanks

Like said atleast try to get the initial important people first, you cant realy do much with LB if you dont have root or recovery for it, same goes with UB, you need a recovery either way.
Im sceptical since the device will release with lollipop.
Then we can go for other people.

Mate, please tell me, or show me when doom find exploit and rooted LB Xperia.
Do same for NUT please.
NUT is great guy but he was using phils and dooms work.
He did awesome things, just like doom but jcase did what you are talking about, not doom, nor NUT.
We'll see what will happen.
This is thanks thread to guys who did fantastic job.
Number of tnx on latest ROM by Niaboc and lateat Xposed module by Serajr said everything.
We will need many developers here, that's true.
So donate 40-50$ and lets expand this list.
I will donate today and I'm perfectly fine with list expand but lets show we are really on this.
When this bounty shows 500-600$ we can talk further...
It's easy to write names but I haven't seen a single dollar to confirm your statement.

This was my plan...
But if anyone wants to donate to someone else (here), that's perfectly fine and it's more then welcome.

No one would be happier then me if we could buy 20 devices.. But lets start...

[Announcement]9th Circle of Development is recruiting new members !

INTRODUCTIONDo you want a rom which will be more stable, faster with better battery life than a stock?
You don't believe it's possible?
I proved otherwise.
First of all, if you are not familiar with my work, then you should check this thread.
MAIN IDEASince a Concept ROM was leaked , I saw a great potential in it.
It's clean ,stable and very fast.
But unfortunately I don't own Z3, so I decided to port it to my Z Ultra.
I did it, but it wasn't enough, so I started to make it better.
But why only Z Ultra users should enjoy it,right?
If I ported it to Z Ultra , I think it can be ported to other Xperia Devices, but I can't do it in my own, that's why I am building a TEAM.
WHY DO YOU WANT IT?
If you like custom roms, but the only one you see are CM based with same bugs.
Stock ROM is not fast enough for you.
You want some crazy themes, which can make your UI really dark, which is not possible in stock.
You want to keep some OEM apps and at the same time, you want a clean android.
You want to be a part of project, which will bring Sony Development to the new level.
HOW I SEE IT IN THE FUTURE?My primary goal is to bring this project for as many Xperia devices as possible.
We will make rom more interesting by: adding futures from CM roms, making our own themes, which can completely change the look of UI, Ideally we can make an app, like layers, but it will be part of the rom and more...
Theoretically it's possible to make an LB version in the future. At least for ZU and Z3.
WHAT I CAN DO?
I have experience in following fields:
Porting ROM and APPS
Kernel development
Working with smali codes
Some programming skills, which are developing.
WHO DO I NEED?
Developers (Roms, kernels)
Designers and theme makers ( logos, themes)
Testers (who are willing to do experiments and don't afraid to that)
Someone good with Smali coding
BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
Good English skills
Be nice and friendly
What'sApp messenger
Ability to work in a team
FOR FUTURE USERS:You can speed up process by making a donation. All the money will be used for buying new devices.
I WANT TO JOIN!Click me.

Time to revolution the Sony Xperia Development.
I can be a tester for Xperia Z2 but if you teach me I can make all the possible development because I love this, I love XDA and what this awesome people make for all!
I confess, I would love the opportunity to learn to make development, ROMs and kernels, if you give me the chance I will be eternally grateful and indebted to XDA to give them a little more love this great world called Android.
I would be able to test your rom for the Z5 Premium dual sim model. Let me know if you need help with testing for this model
@Uncle Lucifer I have made a similar rom for xperia u but the biggest question for me is to what point should the rom represent stock features, I mean what to be included and what not from home, dialer, media apps, media apps, small apps etc....
I'd be happy to test on z3 with locked bl

@Uncle Lucifer great concept buddy!! I was already searching for something like this. I can help u in rom development and will agree to test for Xperia Z1... Cant wait to start the project!!

Ready to join!
Thank you for showing interest in project.
The main goal right now is to assemble a team, then we gonna start to make a plans for future.
I will create group as soon as will have more people and look at all of your applications, but please if it's not hard than write in which part of developing are most interested: kernels, porting, testing, design and etc.
I can test it for Xperia Z1.
Tester for the most notorious Z3+ xD
Im Happy to be a Tester for Xperia ZL, New in android Development, having a hard time in flashing my deodex app that was deodex in joeldroid batch deodex, since i dont know the right update script. Learned from tutorials, that why i build my own rom, which is more from customize the UI rather than the additional functions. But willing to become a tester mostly for ported apps since Lp was the last update for us
Your project is very ambitious, I already like it.
I hope that it will go far !
If you need tester for Z3 Compact, I would be happy to help you !
I haven't a lot of skill in developpement, but I can tinker some software stuff.
If I am not taken, I hope that you will make for us some good roms! =)
I would like to join you too, I can become a tester and grow up time by time to be other roles.
Finally!
I am also a glorius user of my z3 and would like to help.
I have small experiences at building/porting kernels and roms,
and my z3 is ready to test everything.
Hope this will bring future to our superb sony phones.
greetings^^
I'm interested in testing; I have the Xperia Z, and just like most users of this phone, I'm looking forward to new ideas.

Many Z3 users here ^^
I the CEO of RXS have also a Z3 (June not anymore, probarly Xperia X or Xperia X Performance)
We have a lot of testers, but need more devs.
Testers are welcome.
And guys, don't worry.
I am planning to do both LP and MM versions.
So if you didn't officialy receive MM, you still gonna have ROM.
Some info about concept base:
Even LP version, is more like MM than any LP rom.
So, there is no big difference between LP an MM versions.
And that's good for those who have old phones, like me. Nothing to jealous about.
I will make porting easy as possible.
Those who want to add support for their device need to find a more or less stable base. AOSP. I will make the convertable package, and also kernel is required. We can try to use my sources, by adding new defconfigs. Or experiment with existing ones.
So, in theory to start porting to new devices, we need:
Find base rom
Flash my package.
Make it boot
Then adjust it by replacing hardware libs, from stock roms and others.
It's possible.
And when we will have more devices, we gonna add stuff. And that stuff will be universal, so we can work together on it.
