I found this on the web, it's listed as "repair firmware"
I think it's good for if you've bricked your phone too much, then flash it with ODIN :highfive:
The GT-I8190 (International version) is here:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/vy87krsmj45m58y/I8190XXAMA2_OJVAMC3_Arabic_4.1.2_com.rar
Other versions are found here (listed as repair firmwares in red text):
http://www.tsar3000.com/Joomla/inde...iii-mini-firmwares&catid=55:samsung&Itemid=82
(If you the file should be "premium download only" then just google the firmware )
Odin
PIT to PIT
CSC file to CSC
DATA file to AP or PDA
(tick repartition, auto reboot, f.reset time (not more))
Flash with ODIN 1.85 if other versions don't do the trick. Thanks to @mattiawhite for the ODIN version tip!
why not to download stock firmwares from sammobile, here is really everything + download speed is pretty decent
and HEREyou can find pit file for both "pure" and "N" version
does anybody have L version pit file? just to complete list here?

I flashed it and I know now,
it contains more files than the usual firmwares
Which files?
I've checked this "repair firmware" and it looks similar like this service firmware, so nothing new.

I wasn't able to get this flashing using Odin. It caused Odin to hang at cache.rfs. As soon as I tried to flash with another CSC Odin worked a treat.

Damn, really old thread!
In my previous post, you can download the OPS csc. Good for Optus/Virgin
i'm sorry, i PM the original poster and no reply so I had to ask here.
Anyway, this CSC OPS belongs to Optus rite? I read that they contain Optus apps, and I would prefer not to have any optus apps..
alternatively, is there a way to extract the CSC from a galaxy s?
sorry again for any inconveniences!
No Optus apps in that mate. Only included app is Navigon.
You get to chose which network to connect to after first boot. Just give it a minute or two. (Either Optus or Virgin)
I just flashed it with the new Gingerbread.
here or here or here
just tested, it looks fine to me.
i flashed it with odin as pda file, no pit (i previously used 20100512 for XXJPU), no repartition.
what files are included? pda modem and csc?
It's just one .tar package with everything dude, just flash it as pda with odin.
doing now....

Try SamFirm program and see if there's any problem. I used updato once and didn't have any problems and I've used the program like 5-6 times before, without any problems neither.
You can also try to flash the file it extract. If it is really corrupted, the Odin flash should fail.

On sammobile / updato, you see the regions there, like SEB, DBT, ROM etc.
This is what you must type in SamFirm.

You can also fill the PDA and the others with the ones from a firmware 5.1.1 which you want.

I'm not stating the following in a negative way to contradict what @bbsc provided. This is only another option for obtaining the pit file.
The following link from sammobile has all the pit files for the G900 devices and also reflects a handful of G900I variants too.

Yes, of course. From Samsung's servers via Samfirm tool.

I must have missed that. Thanks! It did the trick.
So having now two PIT files for my phone (SM-G900F/XEO): one extracted from original Sammy service firmware and the second one which I extracted from my phone via adb command line, I was able to do a small experiment - compared both files using PIT Magic.
The result was as expected -> both PIT files are identical
New Odin was leaked! New guide is here.
New Oreo build for Samsung Galaxy S8+ (SM-G955F) is live! G955FXXU1CRB7/G955FOXM1CRAP/G955FXXU1CRAP
Download: https://mega.nz/#F!7wo3nJID!2BPhlHlXVLNOzoxF8Cwbcw (OXM multi-CSC FW)
How to install:
Download Odin
Extract Firmware ZIP, open Odin and load BL, AP, CP and CSC packages.
Put the phone into Download mode, connect it to PC and press Start.
This FW contains both, CSC and HOME_CSC packages. CSC will repartition your device and wipe all your data, HOME_CSC allows you to keep your data.
Troubleshooting:
Odin says "Fail!":
Make sure you have correct drivers installed, try using different cable or computer.
Storage shows only 16GB after the update:
Try doing factory reset or flash CSC instead of HOME_CSC to repartition the device.
This does NOT trip KNOX!
Or if you don't want to wait, I have created a bash script, which repacks the firmware for you:
GitHub: https://github.com/kernel-killer/sam-fw-tool
All you need to do is drop the script (repack.sh) to folder containing the firmware, open console and execute:
Code:
cd firmware/location && ./repack.sh
You might also need to fetch some prerequisites before running the script:
Code:
sudo apt-get install tar unzip liblz4-tool coreutils
The script is for bash on Linux but can be also run on Ubuntu on Windows 10 (Windows Subsystem for Linux) or Cygwin.

Thanks for the upload - about to flash it now.
What country/region is this firmware based on?
Pardon my potentially silly question - could I flash an XSA CSC file to make this more of an "Australian" release (for example HOME_CSC_XSA_G955FXSA1AQFE_CL11665648_QB13965623_REV00_user_low_ship.tar)

The firmware contains OXM multi-CSC, it does not matter which region it was meant for (but it was DBT) because all regions included in OXM receive identical firmware.
Generally, it is not recommended to mix parts of different firmwares and because G955FXSA1AQFE was CSC for Nougat, it cannot be guaranteed, that it will work, however, if it worked with CRAP, it should work with CRB7, too.
