hi,
It looks like you have the same issue as the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0, not usb-otg capable.
I don't know kf it has to do with Marvell hardware/components but, it's possble it does.
Head over to the Galaxy Tab 3 forums and see the threads on otg for the Tab 3 7.0

on the marvell based models no. but from what i've been seeing today the sm-t237p degasltespr is a qualcom/msm device, if it has the proper usb connector on board , that may be a maybe ? :silly:
from the kernel source;
Code:
The most notable feature of USB OTG is support for a
│ "Dual-Role" device, which can act as either a device
│ or a host. The initial role is decided by the type of
│ plug inserted and can be changed later when two dual
│ role devices talk to each other.
│
│ Select this only if your board has Mini-AB/Micro-AB
│ connector.

Hallo, my english is not good, but I try.
If you german or frensh language can, it is good, but...
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 7.0.
Android 4.4.2
This device can not USB Host.
Two problem:
1) The originel kernel let not the function USB host free.
I thought, with a new kernel it is maybe possible.
I have root my device with Odin 3.09 and" openrecovery-twrp-2.8.0.1-degas.tar".
Now, current kernel:
3.10.0-4756355 [email protected] #2 Wed Apr 22 16:50:01 KST 2015
Builnumber: KOT49H.T230XXUOAD2
SuperU, Titanium Backup, Root Explorer and NextApp SDFix work good.
But I have not USB Host and USB OTG not do.
2) The USB device require more power (a USB-stick with 4 GB)?!?!?
Do you know This problem?
Is there a kernel-version for this problem?
Is it a power problem? (for a USB Stick 4 GB?)
Apropos, my Galaxy S5 operate verry goob with USB OTG...
Thank you for the help and best regards.

Hey everyone!
I'm running the Nexus Player with the 3.10.20-g43ab991 kernel and Android 7.1.1. I've bought a Micro USB to LAN adapter and it has the RD9700 chipset which is sadly not supported by default. However, I've found this post and they made a driver - unfortunately, for a very old kernel version.
Has someone this driver for newer kernels or could compile it for new kernels (unfortunately, I'm a total noob at this)?
Thanks!
I have no experience with that particular product but I can tell you that the TP-Link UE330 works with an OTG adapter cable.
I have a vivax fly 2 and my phone doesn't support otg. It has otg API but I think problem is with otg kernel module. I need otg because I want to connect usb camera. I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance
