Updating MF3 to NB1

Hey guys,
I've got a rooted s4 with mf3 on it currently and was wondering what the safest way to get to nb1 would be. I have no recovery installed. Just rooted and left it alone.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.
First try unrooting in the supersu app

thank you sir!
Also, we don't have custom recovery yet. The closet thing we get is Safestrap.

NB1, should I upgrade to NC1?

Since i'm locked on SS is the kernel on NC1 better?
NB1 and NC1 are compatible at the boot loader level. That means even if you update to NC1, you can flash the full stock NB1 through Odin. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616221

Yeah I saw that. It's not very clear as to why one would want that over the other.

Only reason to prefer NC1 is that you can use towelroot on it's kernel, but you could always flash NC1 kernel on NB1.

[Q] Safestrap 3.72 Help

I'm getting ready to flash a custom Rom (Graviton) on my AT&T sgh-i337, I read that I need to use a rom slot to flash to, but then I also read rom slots aren't supported in Safestrap 3.72....what should I do?
what's your build
see this--post 1385
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2372742&highlight=safestrap&page=139
And read up in OP of All Things MK2 etc

I don't use SafeStrap, but recommend reviewing the MK2 thread I linked. You can post there too--:0

Well I just went ahead and went for it lol...since you said I couldn't brick my phone I took the chance and just upgraded to NC1 and flashed the rom on my stock slot. After making a nandroid backup of course. Thanks for the guidance though it was much appreciated.

NI2 is 4.4.4. Regardless, you need to go to NCG, 4.4.2 to get root. Odin the full stock NCG tar. Root with towelroot. Then download SuperSU from play store. Update the binaries and reboot. Download busybox from play store, then install. Install safestrap.

The NGC tar file is a little different. Other than that, they left out some of the details.
