I'm getting ready to flash a custom Rom (Graviton) on my AT&T sgh-i337, I read that I need to use a rom slot to flash to, but then I also read rom slots aren't supported in Safestrap 3.72....what should I do?

Download MJ9>MK2 zip, follow instructions in the second post.
If you want to keep root and just save a second in not having to root again, use the SuperSU survival mode.

Awesome! I'm rooted with MK2. So maybe you can help me with one more.
I am trying to install Cyanogen so I did the following
From Recovery
Boot Options
Rom-Slot-1 Selected
Wipe
Install Cyanogen
When I reboot, I get nothing..
I am installing the latest nightly of Cyanogen.
From my understanding that is an aosp rom and safe strap does not support those kind of roms yet. Safe strap for 4.3 is fairly new and there is not many roms compatible yet. Pol have been having different results with roms

Hi, guys
I want to flash danvdh google edition 4.4.2 ROM on my ATT g4 (MF3) with safe strap.
After I create rom-slot1, wipe all the data and install from sd card with the rom zip file I put there already, looks like it start flash, but got "success" in less than 1 min. I flash loki-doki after that (because I was told it's necessary for my phone). Then I reboot, adter safe sreap screen, click continue, black screen with some viabration. nothing happened.
Actually I check the md5 of the rom I download, it's correct. not sure why flash got a "success" in 1 min, suppose should be long.
Anyone can give some suggestion? REally appreciate it.
You need to do more reading. Safestrap only works with touchwiz ROMs, and only other 4.2.2 ROMs since you're on MF3.

Do you mean MF3 can not be flashed to kitkat now?
Sorry for those questions, I searched and found a post with same question but no people answer.

There is the 4.4 leak, but no root of Safestrap for it yet. You'll have to wait for either of those.

If you want to flash a 4.4 ROM you could update to 4.3 then root and install safestrap. Safestrap still doesn't work with ROMs that aren't Touchwiz based. If you need the 4.3 MK2 tar, you can download it here http://www.mediafire.com/download/ktkoogwz562p64k/2400258.zip

Hey!
I recently rooted my GS4 i337. Everything is all working as of now. However, I want to flash an AOSP ROM onto it. So, I followed instructions and at first, I flashed TWRP to my phone. It said it was successful, but when I go to recovery it puts me in ODIN. I then uninstalled TWRP and got the latest version that is said to support i337 GS4. Flashed successfully, but when I boot it still goes ODIN.
I tried both manually recovery booting with the buttons, and the UI on the actual app. Boots ODIN both ways.
Is there something I'm doing wrong? How can I boot into TWRP or CWM so I can make a quick ROM backup and flash an AOSP ROM?
Cheers! And if this is the wrong section, can a moderator please move it? I'm new to this forum.
Thanks.

I found this a video on how to use Safestrap on 4.3.
It's for the Verizon variant but the SE Linux matches, can I give Safestrap a shot?
EDIT: Scratch that, I've found an ATT compatible version (3.71) and it booted into it perfectly! Now I can backup my stock ROM real quick and flash on my new one! Thanks!!
Hi everyone. I'm picking up an at&t i337 that's running the stock JB 4.2.2 UCUAMDL firmware, and has not been yet upgraded to 4.3. I intend to flash a custom recovery, ROM, kernel and I want to flash the MJ6 modem. Here's my question; if I flash a 4.4.2 AOSP ROM, can I safely flash the MJ6 modem that comes from 4.3? I'm running the MJ6 modem on my other S4 thats on the MK6 firmware with safestrap, and it's giving me great reception, downloads, etc.
Thanks,
Mike
Yes. If you root your amdl phone and put a custom recovery on it you can flash what ever you want through it.
I used motochopper method back when I did it. It puts root and twrp on for you

Ive been on the new update for a while and have had a few bugs ie, auto brightness, auto rotation, gear watch not function properly with phone and a few other small issues that ive troubleshot around on here even trying the samsung hub fix even with other roms such as baja and hyperdrive
All I want to do is do a full wipe and revert to stock factory out of the box with the newest update.
To get back to factory im going to follow this thread (also will that downgrade the firmware from kk to jb?)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2576104
Then ive downloaded the modem and full stock tar files from here for the nc4 update
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2524572
but ive also found so many nc4 files that are all different sizes im not sure what exactly i need and whats a duplicate such as the nc4 file listed in this thread.

Any help would be greatly appreciated and i will hit the thanks button. Thank you in advance

Did you initially take the OTA and root or did you upgrade from MJE to 4.4.2 via a ROM flash and Odin?
If you rooted MJE and upgraded that way all you need to do is follow the instructions in the first link you posted then take the OTA.

Was it NC2 or NC4?
If it was NC2 and you just want stock NC4 (OTA) then just use the instructions in the first link you posted, that will bring you back to stock MJE, then just take the OTA. I would also follow these instructions to fully wipe your internal sdcard in SS before using Odin to go back to MJE.

If it was NC2 (check your build number in about phone and see if it ends in NC2) then use Odin to flash the full MJE tar file, root it with Towelroot, install SS (3.65) , SU and busybox (once you install the BB app open it and do the actuall install). Once that is all done I would suggest you install beans stock, root, deodex NC4 ROM and then wait for Baja 16.
Just follow the instructions in the second post for "Coming From NC2/MJE"
Here is a link to that ROM.
