Hello everyone,
I'm gonna buy an S5 but I really don't know which version to choose, Exynos or Qualcomm? Why?
Thanks in advance

Hi,
I would say Qualcomm.
First it's the very common model in europe and in the US threrefore, more dev will be done on this architecture .
Also this chip is very well documented compare to the exynos one so again more stable tweaks ahead.
I have the SM-G900F!

Hey guys, this is kind of a silly question knowing that the two devices (i9500 and i9505) have different processors and graphic cards but is it even possible to port the i9505 custom roms to the i9500?
Developer Question: How hard would it be if possible to port it and how hard would it be to make the rom compatible for both devices?
Thanks in Advance
Stay Cool:d
Dude ure in the wrong section. This belongs in Q&A sections.

has been asked too many damn times. To answer your question, been almost 3 months and there are no ports of CM yet on the octa variant. I didn't need to be a dev nor a rocket scientist to figure it out

Well I got my s4 a month ago so....and im pretty sure that you are not a scientist. ...
I'm asking @AndreiLux to please add support to his Perseus kernel for the sm-n900 exynos note 3. He is looking for some sort of confirmation that the Note 3 community is interested and will support his work. If you don't know who @AndreiLux is or about his Perseus Kernel (first of all, who are you? ) here's link to his github and changelog for his kernel.

Below is my pm and his response.

I've been a bit disappointed in the non-US, non-European support towards my work on the Exynos S4. I correlate that the same will happen on the Exynos N3.
If there is enough public demand for it I might do a blind build with the primary features. Until now, I haven't seen really great demand.

Everyone please chime in if you're interested. Again this thread is for the Exynos chipset.
I had an N7100 before. Always using Perseus Kenel. Now i'm with an N900 (exynos). I really miss Perseus features. Would be really great.

Please build us a Kernel!!
We need synapse for our note 3. Have it on my s4 and cant live without it now.
Loved your work. Please do it for Note 3.
I'd want his kernel too.. the problem is, he doesen't want to buy the n3.. and.. i sad him we could create a pigghy bank to help him to buy it.. but.. he doesen't want a note, too big for him..
Well, i'm already pro over the pigghy bank, if he changes his idea, welcome!

From his reply, he's willing to do a blind build for us. He would just need proper feedback from the users.

Yo that's what i red.. the problem is.. without the device is difficult to create a kernel
My n7100 was great only because perseus kernel. I hope that n900 will get it soon (please include voltage control) also i used once option in deep sleep battery saver to manage cores and it permanently turned off 3 cores to next boot so hmp is possible
Was using perseus kernel on note 2, would be great to see it on note 3 sm-n900

Bump
Perseus kernel made my note 2 fly and I am desperately waiting for that magic on my note 3......

I am dying to flash perseus kernel on my note 3 cant wait was using it on note 2 and still it is on my note 2....
Same here, Used it on my Note 2, cant wait to get it on Note 3..
I too own a Galaxy Note III and would love to get it.
Though I am not sure what it exactly is(if someone could explain it that would be really fanstastic) but from what I have read about it, it looks like it would be something really cool to have which would increase the battery life and the overall experience of using the device.
Wish this fantastic kernel would come to the SD 800 version (SM-9005)

Hey guys, I'd like to know that whether I can remove the exonus octa chipset from my phone and replace it with the Snapdragon 800 chipset! All the other things would be the same!
Is such a thing possible to do with no problems!
Thanks
Nope

They most likely aren't pin-compatible. Something a bit more likely but still crazy would be swapping out for S800 for a S801, as they are more likely to be pin-compatible.
Would you pls go to this post and help me out with an other issue!

Hey people,
i was trying to find some news about CM/CM based Roms for our S6 Edge+ but with no luck. I found that the reason is because Samsung doesnt made the source code of Exynos processors available to people worldwide, but i found that someone already building CM for S6.
Does anyone have some more info? Much appreciated!

thanks to all of you guys at least i'm not the only one interested , i am just surprised that no one in this forum who own an Exynos is a developer and willing to help i dont know why
Guys its about donates, in our forum none of us do not pay for services. If we prove we will donate for works im sure one of big developers will port for us.

I m also intrested guys
don't think it's for money Samsung must release a MM update first so that developers can port to it
and this because unlike snapdragon Exynos is not an opened source so developers can't port to it

I found some dev that trying to port S7 EDGE like in darklord ROM to Exynos, but don't know how is the progress so far:
http://ndroid.io/forums/thread/riverrom-n3-n900-exynos-s7edge-port/
They say the Tab S did receive the MM update, if it is true can we port it? Since Tab S has the same exact Exynos as the Note 3.
But I also not sure since the update arrive for Tab S LTE, and the LTE is the Snapdragon right?

S5 Exynos already have a MM update but we didn't see any port from that so I guess they couldn't as I said before Exynos is not an open source maybe this is the reason why we must wait for Samsung update
So are we getting a real update to MM or we are just hoping?!
