I Installed kaschemme's JellyBean ROM from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2357353
I have installed it a while back. It was working fine. Suddenly My tablet turned off, while watching video.
It wont turn back on.
When i switch it on. The two led lights gets on, but black screen.
I am not sure if it is in a bootloop. My windows 7 doesn't detect the device. I am unable to goto recovery mode.
Please help.

Once it happened to me. Try to take the back cover out, identify the battery cable, unplug it and after not less than 30seconds, plug it back again. Try to start your tablet

[Q] Bricked or not?

Hello, I recently got a used Mytouch 4G, and after a week of use, it has been acting wierd. Lately I have been DL'ing apps for free. Yesterday I was trying to root my phone, which led to complete failure, I tried everything to root it, and it wouldnt root. So I Factory Reset about 5 times yesterday, and put all of my old apps back on. Today, I got on my mytouch and all the apps I put on disappeared and left me with shortcuts that lead to nothing. So I Factory Reset again just to get rid of misc junk, and re-added all of my old apps. I was in the middle of installing a new app, and it began to install, then froze. I was unable to turn it off, so I took out battery and put it back in. It seemed to start fine but it would just stay at loading screen and say "Mytouch" and kept restarting itself, and it would not turn off, again.. So I took the battery out and put it back in, and same thing, this was repeated several times, then I left it off and put the charger in, the orange'ish light came on, then turned green. I held the "power" button for a minute, and it wouldnt turn on. It still wont turn on, and the charging light wont light up noow.
Simplified:
MyTouch 4G bought used.
Android 2.2.1
Temp rooted several times for apps.(never perm rooted).
Will not turn on; Charging light wont turn on; volumedown + power button doesnt work.
When I plug it into the computer it makes a sound, but doesnt let me access it.
Was unable to perm root.
Says QHSUSB_DLOAD in device manager
Please, any help is appreciated, this phone has no warranty..
Dead - looks like it has its SBL corrupted. You can't repair it yourself.

[Q] A500 Won't Boot

I have had my Acer A500 for about two years and now it won't turn on.
I left it sitting on my kitchen table when I went away for a weekend; when i got back, I plugged it in and let it charge over night. The next morning I tried turning it on with no luck. :crying:
When I press the power button the white light will turn on, but nothing shows on the screen. Holding down the button turns the light back off. If i have it "on" and press the reset button the light will turn off for a second and then turn back on. The screen still stays blank.
I have been googling this for days, but only finding people saying it's in APX mode. But, how did it get that way? ADB doesn't see it. A500 manager doesn't see it. I have installed the drivers from ACER. When I plug my tablet in to my computer, the only thing it sees is the ACER picasso USB boot-recovery driver.
Anyone please? I really can't afford repairs or a new tablet. :fingers-crossed:

seems like you are not really getting into APX mode, try switching it off, and then try holding the power button AND reset at THE SAME TIME. This should make computer see an APX device pops in your PC... if not then, I'm not gonna say it dude.

[Q] N7 only detects power when diplay is on???

Hello! I am running cyanogenmod and Timur Rom on 2012 N7. I have tasker to detect power on and power off but here's my trouble..
The N7 will only detect power when the display is on!?!?!?!
If the display is turned off or times out or is locked and I give it power, the display doesnt turn back on automatically. I turn it on manually with the lock button on the side and the battery shows no charge coming through.
With the display still on, i unplug and plug the power back in and it works fine!
I tested it on the PC. PC detects the N7 fine and sees the HDD. Even with the display off, the PC will detect the N7 and I can explore folders but the N7 still receives no power until I manually turn the screen on and unplug and plug the charger back in!
This is preventing me from doing the car dash install because I cannot depend on the N7 to turn on display automatically because it does not detect power with screen off. Only with screen on!
I have went through all settings a million times, tried every 101 troubleshooting step, and I cannot figure it out.
Please, please, please help me figure this out. It's driving me crazy! :cyclops:

[Q] Won't turn on correctly

This started when I first got the nexus player, I would not power on, nothing would work, then after plugging in the power a few times its urged on for the first time.
Then I used it and everything was fine, the next morning I got up and the light on the bottom of the player was off and it again wouldn't boot without unplugging the power and pluging it back in again. Then Everything was working fine again so I assumed that it was in sleep mode. I deactivated the sleep mode In Developer options hopeing that was the problem.
The next morning the was the same problem, the light was off and the only way to turn it back on was to unplug it and plug it back in.
Does anyone know what's wrong, please ask for more detail or info
Had the same issue as you after updating to 5.1 and tried everything. As of the beginning of this week I installed Android M developer preview and the issue is now gone with added benefits of other features.

Green light stays on when sleeping problem.

Hi,
I just got Shield TV. Everything works fine so far. Then suddenly it happened today. When I put Shield to sleep green light stays on. I don't have any USB accessories attached to the Shield.
Any ideas?
Thanks!

I had this before too. My shield is rooted, don't know what exactly helped, but it's gone for a while - I'm doing time to time restart and also sometimes cleaning some unnecessary junks like dalvik, cash etc with root cleaner app (and there need root privileges)
Sent from my Nokia 3310 using free xda app
Mine is stuck on right now as well.
For me after few resets it works fine. I'm not sure if it will not come back.
Try turning it off fully by keeping your finger on the Nvidia 'button' for around 8-10 seconds. Ignore the pairing screen and eventually you will see an Android message about the system shutting down. Power it back on and, once booted, see if it's still giving the same issue. This forces a graceful shutdown rather than when you pull the power cable, assuming that's what you have tried.

Hey all,
did anybody solve this issue?
I am running full android on the Shield TV and after some time the screen gets black but the green light always stays on.
Even when I power off the device with my harmony smart control hub (puts the SATV to sleep mode) the green light stays on..
I already restarted several times and also forced shutdowns - didn't change a thing.
Has anybody an idea how to solve?
Thanks!

I had to pull the DC power to mine for a few seconds then plug it back in. It's been fine for the last two weeks now. *knocks on wood*

Thanks for your answer
I already tried that and even tried another TV... didn't change anything
Does the green light also goes off when the device goes into sleep mode automatically (after 2 minutes e.g.)?
My biggest concern is that the device isn't going in a correct sleep mode so that it drains a lot of battery...
