D802 - Compatibility with LTE Networks - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I'm about to buy a LG G2, but first I need to see clarified one situation:
Is the LG G2 D802 European Version compatible with LTE networks working on 800MHz (Band 20) and on 1800MHz (Band 3)?
I have this doubt because in GsmArena.com informs it is not compatible with 800MHz but in LG.com/es informs it is.
If someone could clarify this doubt, I'd be eternally grateful!
Best Regards,
Rui Sousa

my D802 supports 800/900/1800/2100/2600

So, have you tested, and your D802 works on LTE networks based on 800MHz and 1800MHz frequency?
Thank you.

Thank you.
That doubt was because my Mobile Operator covers my house with LTE on 1800MHz and covers my weekend house with LTE on 800MHz, and I need full LTE coverage.
Now I'm more rested and ready to move to acquiring the LG G2 D802.
Best Regards,

Is an S$ with More Bands Coming

I seem to recall reading somewhere (but now I can't find it) that SprinT is coming out with an S4 with greater capability - i.e., some new LTE band, perhaps the former Nextel band?
I'm eligible for an upgrade, but don't want to buy if there is a revision coming shortly.
Anyone know anything about this?

Isn't nextel 800 frequency and I believe the current gs4 is capable of it. I may be wrong.

The current S4 is capable of the 800 frequency that iden was using. Once activated our phone is capable. In Korea they have the S4 with the Snapdragon 800 processor that is capable of lte advanced network, but no carrier in the US even has a LTE advanced network so it doesn't matter. Korea always has the newest and best tech.

Its capable of 800 voice. This device only supports band 25 1900 lte. Sprint has equipment up for 800 data but wont be running for a while. That's from multiple places on s4gru. They won't get a multi band lte device for a few months.

You probably read about the new S4 coming out in Korea with a 2.3ghz processor, as said above the Snapdragon 800, that'll be running on Korea's first (first ever in the world actually) commercial LTE-A network. I don't think Sprint would be rolling out a new network with their LTE still being very limited.

Yes that's what I said in my post. That is the lte advanced S4 and will not be in the USA because we don't have any lte advanced networks here.

Okay just so we are all clear, everyone can mark my words, there will not be a newer better Sprint S4 coming out thats supports any LTEA network. That phone will be in Korea because they have cell networks that can support LTEA phones. This is what the current S4 supports for Sprint LTE: Band 25; CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/850/1900MHz; HSPA+/UMTS: 850/900/1900/2100MHz; GSM: 850/900/1800/1900MHz
I should have made it clear that I was talking about this CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev.A: 800/850/1900MHz when I said our phones support the 800 spectrum that used to be iDEN.

OK, so Sprint will have 800 Mhz LTE, by the end of the year per this article:
http://www.technobuffalo.com/2013/05/21/sprint-triband-devices-smartphones/
but the S4 will not be able to use the 800 Mhz frequency for data?

Look at my post above it shows what lte band is supported and which CDMA spectrum is supported. The S4 does not support 800MHz lte data.

I don't understand your response - isn't what I said consistent with your post?
The S4 does not support 800 Mhz LTE, but Sprint will have 800 Mhz LTE by the end of the year. Isn't this a problem - Sprint will be utilizing 800 Mhz for data because it is better at penetrating buildings, but the S4 will not support that band?

[Q] Google S4 CARRIER QUESTION

Hi every one,I'm about to buy the samsung galaxy s4 google edition, but my question is : Will it work with my italian carrier?,i'm a bit afraid to spend over700$ for a phone that i won't either be able to use,so I thought to post here this thread waiting for someone to answer my question.
What makes me think is that this phone work with the same network band of my actually phone.
The specs are the same as the I9505 so if your carrier band can work on the I9505, it can work for the Google edition.

This is slightly misleading.
While the I9505 and I9505G are extremely similar, they differ in which LTE bands they support.
The I9505 supports LTE 800 / 850 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600
Whereas the I9505G supports LTE 700 / 850 / AWS / 1900
Italian LTE runs on 800, 1800, or 2600 depending on the carrier.
TL;DR Yes, the Google Edition will work in Italy, but only at 3G speeds (LTE IS NOT SUPPORTED)

Hi
No unfort. you cannot unlock bands .. When you buying phone these days and you WANT 4G/LTE it is necessary that you check band compatibility first ..
Here is LTE table check freq. in your phone version and check which matches with german operators..
I don't understand really. That's from my Mobile Phone. You think works whit Vodafone or Telekom?

I'll explain
That picture what u posted shows your phone supports FDD LTE .. focus on that bcos u in EU
SO.. It says B1 B3 and B7 right ?
So now u need to know what that means
B1 - 2100 MHz
B3 - 1800 MHz
B7 - 2600 MHz
So now you know what all B means and check my table which operator has same freqs ... OK ?
So I can see that on
B1 (2100MHz) you have NONE operator supporting 2100MHz so this B1 is useless in germany ..
next ,
B3 (1800MHz) I can see two OP support ; E-Plus and Telekom so nice u have some support ..
next
B7 (2600MHz) here is again Telekom and Vodafone
So conclusion ..
Your phone will work on 4G with E-Plus ,Telekom and Voda
Your phone will never work on 4G with O2 ... bcos your phone doesnt support FDD LTE B20
Got it ?
Ok. I will try tomorrow whit Prepaid Card first. Thank you so much for your Help. Wish you nice Sunday...
Now I try the different Providers. Only E-Plus works in my City. I think Vodafone and Telekom same O2 and use Band 20 here [emoji24]

[Q] Can I unlock LTE in my LG G2 D802 32 GB India.

Hey People.
Is there any way that I can Unlock LTE in My LG G2 which is a 32 Gb model with :-
Android Version 4.4.2,
Kernel:3.4.0.
Build no:KOT49I.D80220d.
Software Version80220d-ESA-XX.
Thanks in Advance.
Yours Gratefully.
Shreyash
There isn't any LTE support for the standard D802 that we get in India. What i mean to say is that the D802 supports
LTE 800 / 900 / 1800 / 2100 / 2600
(Bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20) - D802
However the LTE currently offered in India is at band 40
2300MHz TD-LTE band
(have a look at this- http://telecomtalk.info/things-you-...ing-a-4g-lte-capable-handset-in-india/116895/)
There is another model now available in India, the LG G2 LTE, (D802T) which supports the LTE band available in India.
Sorry for my earlier unclear reply. Hope this is more clear.

What a strange remark to make. Off course there is LTE capability in the D802. Maybe the provider of OP isn't supporting LTE. Mine does (Vodafone Holland) and i always have a LTE connection.

Yes, the D802 is a LTE capable device, but just lacks the band for LTE in India currently. This may change in the future as more operators introduce LTE in a band supported by our device.
If you still want to see the LTE option in your ROM, you can root your phone and install a custom ROM like Cloudy or Pardus which will let you switch to LTE as well.
How useful that would be , is entirely upto you

Will the RN7 pro work in Israel?

I'm interested in buying the redmi note 7 pro but I live in Israel and I'm not sure if the phone supports my network. I did some research and it looks like it should work but I wanted to be sure before I bought it.
Please let me know if the RN7 pro (global/India) will work with the Israeli networks?
