I think only in custom roms`s like Cyanogenmod and maybe others. Why don`t you use Pie control and install LMT launcher?
Use a custom rom like cm

AOKP works as well as the above. I think most any of the custom ROMs do.
Hey, I just got this phone but on my 2 old phones I remember using a program called button remapper and made it change songs when I hit the volume down button.
What's the easiest way with the S4?
I ride a motorcycle and it's the easiest way to change tracks with it in my pocket..
Thanks for any advice
-Get rooted
-download and install Xposed Installer
-find on xda Nottach Xposed install that
-go to Xposed Installer go to modules check Nottach Xposed
-go back to Nottach Closed and go to Sound then click skip tracks with volume keys
-then listen to some Strange Music skipping tracks with ur volume buttons! Lol
There's a lot of cool stuff to check out on that app just saying if you like other custom stuff!

Thanks. I tried that but it made my phone not boot up. I had to use the recovery file manager to delete the xposed folder to get it starting again.. =\

I did all those possible things to make this lovely mod from miui ROM ultimate dynamic navbar to be able to work (remove qemu.prop in build prop.download framework, install uninstall the ROM allover again and again.,install mitools, install the lite version,I try flashing the old vers of miui maybe I thought its not compatible with the latest build yet,any suggestion but it seems that this thing really is not working in my nexus 4,but why only me?I saw others posts that they had this to work but every time I enabled it and tap the home button, nothing was showing in my home screen,I even tried different ways activating it with gesture but it only works only in the app itself..BTW,I had my nexus 4 in kitkat before but installed 4.2 kernels and flash custom Miui version 4.3.7..did I miss anything?
Here r some screenies..any help would be gladly appreciated..I hate eating up space on this stock navbar and mipop as well..dynamic navbar mod works but hate how it look likes..
1st pic: tools requires me with this mod
2nd pic showing that it only shows the app itself not after all when press home

Is it possible to Change the. Soft keys on the stock ok Rom to the keys and their actions of the g3?
For instance I would love to change the. Settings key on the g2 to the key that's used on the g3.

I think the only possible way is to root your G2 and use softkeyz
Root and use an xposed mod
Hi,
Is there any way to change Galaxy s5 left side sub key into menu button?
Like it was on Galaxy S4.
I know holding for a second opens the menu but i want it to work just by touch.
You can remap the key if you root, or theres an option in xposed modules such as gravitybox(also requires root)

Open /system/usr/keylayout/Generic.kl and change.
Should be working fine though. Like it worked before lollipop.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

I didn't try that but key 580 APP_SWITCH could do the trick.
Dont forget to backup the file before editing!
No guarantee.
UPDATE: Also found the "sec_touchkey.kl" with the entries "APP_SWITCH VIRTUAL" and "BACK VIRTUAL".
The "gpio-keys.kl" comes up with "key 254 APP_SWITCH".
You may try those also!
Best regards!
