[HELP] Wiped everything, Still have TWRP - G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I was trying to flash the newest AOKP ROM and it wouldn't run so I powered off and entered recovery mode and tried to find my nandroids and everything was deleted. I had to format the phone.
There is nothing on my phone but TWRP 2.7.0.0. My laptop won't recognize the phone after downloading drivers. I've tried the newest ones from LG's website and the ones on this guide (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476) guide
What should I do?
Can I use the KDZ method if I have a VS980?
If my laptop isn't reading the phone when I plug it in in recovery will it still read it in download mode???????????
I really really need help.

Try using a different computer, sometimes it helps. If you can access your recovery you can then try to sideload a rom.
I don't have the vs980 but I would think that the KDZ method should work. Are you able to go into download mode?

Installed the latest update..now only boos straigh into TWRP..nothing else...

I'm wondering if anyone can help me out with this...
I traded my buddy my ATT G2. The phone was rooted and had TWRP installed. Well, when he got it, he received the update and installed it. Now the phone buts straight into TWRP.
Now, I was under the impression that OTA's can't install if a device has a custom recovery, So I don't know what's going on. I told him to sideload a rom to the device and then try to flash through TWRP, but his internet speeds is slow..
I also found this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2471370 do anyone know if this will work with the ATT G2 or have any other insight on how to get the phone back up and running?
I did a mistake in the past when I copied paranoid Rom and g apps onto sdcard and then rebooted into recovery and wiped all in advanced wipe and did not have anything to flash and nothing is in phone to boot so rebooted back into twrp using key combo and then used sideload and pushed paranoid 4.3 and gapps and they are smaller size Rom and gapps and then downloaded clean Rom se and all is well, but my pc could not recognise my phone with lg drivers so installed pdanet and confirmed adb commands working and then performed sideload, so first have paranoid 4.3 and its gapps and download and install pdanet (don't use it yet) then boot into recovery and factory reset followed by all wipes in advanced wipes reboot to recovery from within twrp connect using cable and then run adb command to see if ur pc recognizes ur phone and if not recognized open pdanet (make sure it's installed already) and select options program gives you to install lg drivers from a list of several other brands and then run adb commands again( if you don't have adb in pc then download and install minimal adb and fastboot app with destination as desktop) and then copy Rom and gapps to adb minimal and fastballs folder and rename them to easy remembering as u like and then start sideload in twrp and run adb command and PC should say sideload and then run commands to install Rom and gapps and reboot and in meantime download Stockrom of your choice and install it, I hope you know how to use adb

Yes if you have time to download those huge files it is recommended to go back to stock and in my note above it does not have to be a 4.3 Rom it can be any Rom of your choice.

This fixed my D800 up after that update broke the phone into only booting to recovery:

accidentally wiped everything after getting stuck in boot loop

As per the title, I accepted the system update on my rooted ls980 (didnt know it would mess anything up). Ended up putting me into a boot loop to TWRP recovery. Tried to restore all my backups and none of them yielded a different result. Thought i would try a quick wipe but i accidentally wiped everything... For some reason when i try to install the newest USB drivers it tells me the install worked but never recognized the phone. I have done all the steps in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476 but not everything installs when plugged in from download mode. Also could not get LGflashtool to register properly. I'm not exactly sure where to go from here, I have no roms, backups, or adb access. what do?
Well if u can boot ur rom into recovery, then connect s pen drive with s flashable rom inside to ur mobile via OTG cable, and then flash

Can you put the phone in download mode ( up volume while plugging to USB)? If you can, restore to stock using LG Flash tool.
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
The stock recovery doesn't support sideload. The only fix is to restore stock with flashtool
You need to first download the kdz and lg flash utility with drivers.
Install drivers
The factory reset deleting system, cache, internal sd.
Then shutdown your g2.
Start to downloaded mode connecting your g2
Flash kdz & voila... Done
I too bricked my phone before. My flashing stuck at 49%. Recovered using above method, all is well now
This works 1000%. I bet on it. Just remember to wipe the phone completely before flashing. You will return to stock with unrooted status in download mode. U will have your warranty back too

Have you try to do a full wipe? In any case, yoy can download other rom that works sure and put in the sdcard using adb when you are in recovery mode...
Check if when you flash the rom, you are getting an error related with loky-... (Something like this)...
Why don't you try to install back cwm if you still have your cwm backup. Then after that restore your backup.

How can i install back to CWM? if i cant get out of Recovery?? I would just download another rom but computer wont show my phone since stuck in recovery, As you can tell i have limited access to computer privileges due to using a work computer, so I do not have any of the tools on the computer.

Yes i did a full wipe, when i flash AOKP 2/16 its successful but stays boot looping, but PA and CM11 says failed, but nothing mentioning loki.
Can you not mount in twrp? Or go into download mode and adb push another ROM onto the phone? If your in a bootloop just wipe everything twice. Mount or adb push a new ROM AFTER checking md5. Both those have worked for me :$

Is your TWRP out of date? You can update TWRP while in TWRP. Or just adp sideload another ROM.
How do you update twrp while in recovery? When flashing the other two roms its saying something about binary?? And how do you side load, yes im real new to the g2 root game, my nexus's were so much easier and never delt with adb sdk really, ill have more luck tomorrow when im on computer i can actually download stuff , when i flash aokp i see all the files through file manager but just won't boot

By using ADB. If your pc does not detect phone. Try installing lg drivers or those on pdanet drivers.
Link for universal drivers to get ADB working.

Adb is the way to go if your stuck in recovery. And even if you're a newb its easy to learn as there are countless tutorials out there. Just read up on it and then you can either push a new ROM or push cwm and restore your old backup

[Q] My LG G2 is stuck in a boot loop after installing Cyanogenmod 11.

I rooted my D800 LG G2 and then I installed TWRP. I installed Cyanogenmod 11 without wiping but I performed a backup using ROM Manager. It didn't run well so I wiped everything but the data so that way I would keep my apps. Then it went into a boot loop so I wiped everything. It was still in a boot loop. I have no way of connecting it to my PC and the backup was deleted. How can I get it out of the boot loop?

Ok thank you very much! That worked! Now I'm running Cyanogenmod 11 and there's one problem with it. When I turn my volume up all the way my speakers distort. I tried swapping the snd_soc_msm_Taiko file but I couldn't find the stock one. Just the volume boost one. It still distorts though. Any ideas?

U should flash stock rom to fix it
And for future reference, when you change roms you *MUST* wipe the data partition. If you want to backup your applications, use something like titanium backup to make an app by app backup and then restore after you've installed the new rom.
Me too, was stuck on boot loop but was lucky to have another rom in the phone and flashed it in TWRP.
Another LG G2 stuck

So using the Flash Tool did work great. But now I have a friend who tried to install Cyanogenmod but didn't like the way it ran so he used his backup of the original ROM to restore it. He deleted all the data and caches after each step of the installation too. But last night while he was asleep it booted itself into TWRP and is now stuck in a boot loop. But download mode is not accessible because USB debugging was not enabled yet (I think that's the reason it won't enter download mode anyway). So does anyone have any idea how this can be fixed?

Ok I'll try that. The AT&T version automatically updates and doesn't give you an option to stop the update so that may have happened.
