The customization number can be useful to correctly specify the branding when making FTF files with Flashtool, to identify FTF files if the branding has not been (correctly) specified by the uploader and to download a different firmware customization with Sony PC Companion.
The list is sorted by customization number. Look up customization numbers or country easily by pressing Ctrl-F (Windows/Linux) or Command-F (Mac).
Branding: carrier name or "Generic" for unbranded devices, followed by the ISO code of the country. Enter this into the "Branding" field when creating an FTF file with Flashtool.
Cust. no.: customization number, can be found in your service menu (dial *#*#7378423#*#* > 'Service info' > 'Software info' > 'Customization Version'). Will change if you flash a different customization.
SI number: Sales Item, can be found on your box and perhaps on your receipt, but not on your phone. There are multiple SI numbers with the same customization, because every color has its own SI number.

Thanks for this thread. How do I find my region ? Is there somewhere in the software or do I just say where I bought it . I ask because you can buy a phone in France and it might be from UK because the store imports from there.
On the box, next to SI number, there are listed all countries, where your particular phone is officially distributed

I can find no country name in software info. Could you be more specific?
I said on the BOX /)_<), you will not find any of these informations anywhere in the SW (except for customization number, which is only stated in the SW - see OP)
PS: If your phone was purchased from telecommunications provider, please, state from which one (e.g. "Branding: O2") (as "region" then simply state country, where you purchased it)

@Ravt88: Simply connect your phone to PC Companion, it should inform you that there is new update available and ask if you want to update

Re: [STOCK ROM] Xperia Z (C6603) v4.1.2, 10.1.A.1.350 Generic DE (Unbranded)
Will it root without unlocking the boot loader?!!!! I'm getting my Xperia Z this week and I'm sure going to flash this
Sent from my LT18i using xda app-developers app
No, this is a "stock ROM", which is the official firmware that comes with the phone or that is flashed through Sony Update Service or PC Companion. In this case, it is the unbranded German version, which is useful for people who have a branded phone and want to get rid of the branding. It is not rooted by default!

Sent from my Sony Xperia Z using Tapatalk 2!
Yes, it has the black colour scheme:

I see that you are from the UK, so if you're looking for an unbranded firmware, I'd recommend this one.
Thats not black, its again the grey one
Excuse me if this is the wrong place to ask this but, what exactly does unbranded mean? what exactly does it change?
Thank you for uploading this Stock ROM!
People who buy their phone through a mobile operator often have a branded version. This means that the phone comes with pre-installed settings, apps, themes, ringtones, etc. for that specific carrier. Most of the time, those customizations cannot be removed. Those people can download and flash this stock ROM to get an unbranded, generic firmware on their phone.
Bravia, DMR Keys
Hallo everyone,
when i flash with this rom, i lost the Bravia and DMR Keys or not?

I have c6602... Flashing this, will i get the 4g radio option in settings?
I bought the phone while i was on a trip, and didn't even know there was a 3g only model that i got in the end. :/. My provider has c6603 in it's shop, so 4g should work for mine?
Nope, the hardware of model C6602 supports more 3G bands (1700 MHz and 1900 MHz, in addition to the 850 MHz, 900 MHz and 2100 MHz bands of the C6603), but it does not support 4G (LTE). However, if your operator supports HSPA+ (sometimes marketed as "3G+"),your mobile internet should be quite fast already.

This Thread is for the about the ftf versions in almost every country, because they have the same global versions but different customization versions.
The downloads like are in the old thread with is in my signature.
We already have full lists of all possible customizations for the C6602 and C6603.
EDIT: the C6602 list appears to be incomplete, but your list contains several errors...

So I bought a Note 4 online, when I started tooling around with it I noticed a whole slew of strange problems, which I believe stem from a firmware/hardware mismatch
1. when I attempt to factory reset the phone it goes into recovery mode and says DM verity authentication failed.
2. the phone is stuck on 5.0.1 which, as it is SUPPOSED to be an SM-N910F, should have been updated ages ago. when I check for an update It says it is up to date even though it is not. the return message also comes too fast almost as though it is not really checking...
3. I used an app called Phone Info + to get more info but the info retrieved does not match what the About Device page in settings says says
Here are screenshots of the about device page under settings

It's american note 4 don't update at least with officiel rom or you will lost gsm network and you'll have to pay to u lock it on ligne smoe people imports american variant and chinese because it's cheapest there and change there origines allways do this before buying a used or in grey market even most of them are refurbishednew and come in boxes like new ones go to download mode to be sure *exuse my english*

I flashed on the original official firmware
all I had to do to use my rogers sim was fiddle with some apn settings.
It all works now
That's good ☺
I have the same issues with my note 4. Can you give me an idea of what you did so I can do the same? Like where you got the official firmware and Rom?Your help will be highly appreciated.

Edline08, me too! I just purchased a new Note 4 but apparently it isn't new. Looks refurbished to me as there is a mismatch between various parts. And it has the exact same info as provided by Son of Kalas - the model, the build fingerprint, etc.
Son of Kalas can you please let us know if you figured out which firmware to use? I need to flash the phone since it has glitches. Thank you!
Same issue here.. Son of Kalas can you feedback on how you got it solved...
