Could you send apk to me too?
Hi everyone
As OP in this thread wrote I'm kinda in the same situation (on Pardus rom) and would like to revert G3 keyboard to G2 as I find it more functional for me.
Found an downloadable/installable apk but that just throws back at me "app is not installed". Any found a solution?
Regards!

Download a version of stock ROM, extract the keyboard apk and move it to /system/app with root explorer (or similar app). Make sure to change permissions and reboot.

Thnx, tried the variant with the apk I downloaded but this didn't work. Keyboard doesn't show up in settings after reboot. Also renamed the G2 apk the same as G3 and backed up the G3 LGEIME.apk. Reboots in between didn't help. The phone just locks up when launching whatever app that utilize keyboard.
Will try your mentioned solution and download a stock rom with G2 keyboard. Getting back with results later.
Nope, extracting the LGEIME.apk (G2 keyboard) from Lightning Rom v3.0 (replacing, permissions and reboot) didn't do it either. The keyboard now just disappears.
Does anyone know how to get the option to save your OWN word when writing? I use the "phone keyboard" and not the qwerty one when writing and really dislike having to go into setting to add words not found in the dictionary (and yes I've updated it). Found that option in G2 but not in G3 keyboard, being able to save new words on-the-fly.

Idk what version Lightening ROM is (KK or jb) but you need to make sure to use the proper version of the keyboard (ie, if you're on KK it needs to be the KK LG keyboard apk, if on jb it needs to be jb LG keyboard apk). If you used the correct version then idk what else would work.
4shared,
Just search google keybord,
Download,
Install.

hi guys, i would ask all the developers if is possible to modify the standard android dialer adding T9 search for contacts (like MIUI dialer / YOULU / DIALER ONE). Could someone create a flashable zip (I'm using DeFrost 6.1a)?
Thank you for your hard work.
any luck with this?
I'm also interested in this function, as I found that Youlu and Dialer One to be rather slow...
bump...
I'd also really like this feature. T9 style contact searching within the dialer is just about the only thing I miss from Sense now that I'm running CM7, and I'm not a fan of any of the dialer / contacts replacements that include it. They're all just...ugly, imo, compared to the stock dialer.

This is added in post cm7.1 builds. Perhaps just installing contacts.apk from those kangs would work for cm7.1 official release. Will you try? I can provide apk.
Is defrost froyo based? No luck if you are not a good friend of some cm developer.

Thanks. Will run it for a couple of days and give my feedback.
If you like MIUI Dialer, you can use exDialer

I like the simplistic CM7 T9 dialer, works very well for me. However, the phone reverts back to the original non-T9 dialer when rebooted. Any suggestion how to permanently keep the T9 dialer?

Yes.
First backup your original apk file.
It is inside /system/app
Then copy new file and paste it in /system/app (over old one).
Set unix/linux permissions on newly copied file as rw-r--r--.
Reboot phone.
Use some root capable file manager such as Root Browser Lite or ES File Explorer.

I really like the stock LG keyboard. I'm on the Carbon ROM, and try to install the Titanium backed up version, but that never finishes installing.
Does anybody have a flashable version of the keyboard?
I know there are some ROMs that have it on it. I had the Carbon ROM on my Razr and it was always my favorite, so I'd really like to keep up with it.

I would also like to try it on my Nexus 10. Wonder how it will scale.
Here is a LG apps flashable zip. It is, however, all of the LG G2 custom apps. I'm still looking into a way to get the keyboard only.

Ok so I'm using a heavily debloated rom right now which is stock based on 4.4.2 for the d801.
I'm really missing quite a few of the LG apps that were growing on me.
Can someone provide me with either a flashable zip or everything I need to get them working again?
Mainly I need the LG app updater, Quick Memo, Task Manager and Weather App.
Greatly appreciated!!!

Have you tried downloading a a flashable zip file for a stock rom and try finding the apps in the zip? that would be the easiest.

Yes looking at one right now, however, I don't know what the APK's are actually called.
I've found the Qmemo and the taskmanager apk's but I have no idea what the LG installer apk is called (the app that will update the LG apps to newer versions.)
Also, task manager installed but the qmemo did not
Could anyone give me the names of the apps as seen in your ROM? Specifically for the quick memo lg app and the lg main app market/updater
Sent from my LG-D801
I managed to get qmemo working as well as the lg update center. I think I'm still missing something because it tells me its checked for updates only, but doesn't show me the actual lg app center, so if someone could help me locate the apk that is the lg app center that would be great!
Lgupdatecenter.apk and lgqmemo.apk were the ones I needed. Now just missing one more.

which keyboard you talking about be specific! and what problem you are facing give a brief information about that. i mean you can not install what, which keyboard? properly state your problem, if possible i would assist.
i dont know the particular name of the keyboard. but that was the default aosp keyboard i used in tesla v3.3 rom(for redmi 2).some of my friends told that may be the keyboard's name is "number-row aosp keyboard".
and they also gave me the apk file of that keyboard...installation was successful.but after enabling it boom it just crashes i think....and also after that keyboard is not coming....
Afterall i want to say that i need the default aosp keyboard of tesla rom for redmi 2

download extractor here. you should have jdk(java installed),and python is optional tho.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxGRG9YXw62rQzFDajBVWXNvVmc/view?usp=sharing
Unzip any rom you wish and then select system.new.dat,file_contexts.bin,system.transfer.list but you should rename file_contexts.bin to file_context and copy to the folder where you have extracted the above software. And run extractor.bat
and follow the on screen instructions. you would get the extracted apk and stuff inside a system folder.

yes, its the default keyboard.
Just simply flash this https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/apps-games/aosp-keyboard-android-6-0-1-r3-t3266333
And don't forget to delete LatinIME folder on system before you flash it.

Hello guys
I have tried to update my Samsung keyboard on the tab A t585 lte and it seems that I broke the app, here is what I have now (see attachement)
And my old version was 1.4.47 (see attachement)
I tried to install Samsung keyboard 1.5.25 and it was the responsible for breaking the original stock app.
Any help is very much welcome as for supplying the original apk if possible

Samsung keyboard apk's can be found below.
You can probably use any 1.4x apk.
Make sure to set correct permissions on the apk afterwards.

In that case just go into app manager and Uninstall the version you have installed. It will ask if you wish to revert to the stock keyboard.
It wasn't possible to do that as the APK I used didn't replace the older one so that option was grayed, BTW I have fixed my issue and here is the process
