4.3.1 rom download - RAZR HD General

Can someone direct me to where I can download STOCK 4.3.1 jellybean for Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD. I keep finding all these weird names of roms that claim to be 4.3.1. Also, I need a tutorial on how to dual boot my stock 4.1.2 and the 4.3.1. I have safestrap and it has some feature to have up to 4 (I think) roms installed. I never understood how that worked but it seems useful for trying new roms. I'd also like to try Cyanogen Mod if I could just get that safestrap thing working.
Thanks

There is no 4.3.1 stock, where did you get that idea?
4.1.2 is still the most current until 4.4.2 comes out in a couple weeks.

They're jumping from 4.1.2 all the way to 4.4.2??? I just assumed updates ahead of 4.1.2 existed. Thanks for the info.

[Q] Is the latest AOKP ROM 4.3?

I tried looking all over their site and over at rootzwiki and I cant get an answer. I just want to know if the latest aokp_mako_nightly_2013-07-27.zip is 4.3 or 4.2.2. Thank you.
Could be wrong but as far I know AOKP hasn't released a 4.3 rom yet.
Ok, thanks.

Should I upgrade to 4.3?

I upgraded back when 4.3 first came out and I didn't like it. Two main reasons were that flash absolutely wouldn't work even with adobe flash installed and stock browser installed. I know flash isn't officially supported in jellybean but it works almost flawlessly on 4.2.2 with the right browsers. Couldn't get it working at all on 4.3 and there are a few content sites out there that I enjoy where flash is still required unfortunately. Hopefully flash will eventually be completely consumed by html5. The other main reason was that I couldn't get any type of adblock to function on 4.3 where as on 4.2.2 it works fine. I would like to take advantage of the supposed stability that 4.3 offers but I don't think its worth the cost of having no flash. I guess I could live with having to see adds. Does anyone know if there is a way to get flash working on 4.3?

If i knew that i wouldn't get anything noticable with 4.3 like it is, i would never update to 4.3
4.2.2 worked awesome, but with 4.3 i have some micro lags in some areas.
Btw, "adaway" works great on rooted 4.3, try it.

So are you saying you like 4.3 or you dislike it compared to 4.2.2? Thanks for the heads up on adaway.

They always say: "If it ain't broken, don't fix it", and because you seemed to be completely happy with 4.2.2, you can better stick with it.

Flash did not work for me either on 4.3, until I updated the bootloader to 4.23. After this, I installed the latest flash apk and it has worked flawlessly with Dolphin browser since.

Upgrading to 4.4 kit Kat

Hey guys quick question my n4 is rooted and running cm10.1.3. I never bothered to upgrade to 4.3, so my radio, kernel and bootloader are stock 4.2.2. Is it better to get the ota update and be up on things or flash stock kernel, boot loader and radio for 4.4 when ever there available? Or maybe factory image?

Just flash the stock images for kit Kat when they are available, right now back up all your data

my friend as this will pop up all over the forum the best thing to do is just wait for a rooted version to show up. I did not upgrade my bootloader and I have not had any issues with 4.3 which mind you is a great running OS you should try it.
I dont understand having root then unrooting to flash stock which you obviously dont like since you run cm and then wait to root it all over again to back an upgraded rooted version of cm...

Question on the way for the custom recovery+kernel guys on 4.3 what is the best to upgrade besides wiping your entire phone and flashing the stock images entirely?.
I think i know 2 ways just not sure they are recommended, 1st is flashing stock kernel + returning recovery to stock (should get OTA)
2nd is flashing only the system.img and the bootloader me thinks.
Feel free to verify this.

You make a lot of sense ,its more of curiosity and so I won't brick my nexus. So I can get away with not upgrading my bootloader for 4.4?
What about kernel, do I need to update that for 4.4 or is that judgement call?

you are asking questions that trial and error are going to figure out for us. Kernels of course if you are on a 4.4 rom you would use a 4.4 kernel. Upgrading your bootloader may or may not be needed but we wont know until kitkat starts popping. everyone said you needed to upgrade bootloader for 4.3 but I have never had any issue at all.... Just wait it out and read read read

Not to sure but as long as you're on stock ROM and stock kernel you should be fine although I don't know if custom recovery keeps you from getting update.

Absolutely bro
You do have to be on stock recovery, stock bootloader for the update to go thru properly otherwise it'll fail.

If you are still on stock rom and you just have custom kernel+recovery, U could do the following for not using any current apps or files.
- Wait till your favorite Toolkit (e.g Wug) get updated for 4.4 and then download the official factory rom.
- Extract it and keep all separate zips, like radio, bootloader, system etc.
- Unroot and flash stock kernel
- Flash all previous zips, EXCEPT user.img which will delete everything
- Reroot and U r ready to flash again custom kernel
Maybe a noob question but my n4 is rooted. Will this cause any problems withe the update?

Hello,
My phone has already had the radio upgraded to latest so it can run 4.3. I am rooted, have TWRP 2.6.3.0, will I be ok to flash the PA 4.4 and gapps? I keep posts about folks losing their sdcard data and their custom recovery being removed (not sure how!).
Thanks.

I'm sure that radio doesn't affect your ability to flash certain ROMs so you shouldn't have a problem flashing 4.4. As far as losing SD data not sure how that's happening.

Maybe cause your not reading. Questions go on the Q&A forum. You don't have enough space to create a ROM slot try deleting some stuff than try creating a ROM slot again.

It doesn't have to be a touch wiz rom it only has to be 4.2.2. This why GPE version 4.2.2 works.
Are you sure you installed the 4.2.2 version of Omega?
The correct link to the working version of Omega can be found in the OP here.
Edit: Just looked at the link and it appears he pulled the 4.2.2 version of Omega. I know the 4.2.2 version works because I am running it.
May look through the Omega thread and see if you can find a link to the 4.2.2 version.

No need for Best Buy anymore as the MF3 ODIN files have been released.
Matter of fact people are flashing over their MF3 stock slots now with Safestrap since this is now released and you can recover back to MF3 without Best Buy.
Can you still get to flash mode? Thought it went to the dreaded contact ATT boot screen.
Sent from my i337 MF3 using tapatalk.
As long as you can get into download/odin mode you should be able to recover.
Lot's of people have recovered the MF3 devices without going to best buy.
If you can't get into download mode, I'm not even sure if BB would be able to flash the phone to recover.
