What is the difference between Smart Remote and WatchON on the S5? Seems unnecessary to have two seemingly identical apps from Samsung (although aesthetically different)?
For me the samrt remote supports my country Egypt but the WatchOn doesn't.

As the title suggests really, haven't been able to find a concrete answer either way when look around. Does the GT have this feature, so you can use things like Google Skymap and augmented reality?
Yes.

I got a Samsung tv, but can not find a remote controller with a full qwerty keyboard.
It would be cool to type with my Nexus 7 to browse YouTube on my flat screen led tv.
Any idea?

Would be Wi-Fi streaming. Your tv would need to have Wi-Fi access, or you would need to get a device to do that for you. Software apps are coming to do that.
Search for Miracast or Android Transport to see some examples.
Nothing avail just yet but hopefully soon.

I used this app from Google Play store on my Samsung Advance: Samsung Remote but it doesn't work on my Nexus 7.
There is also Samsung Remote Tab... for tablets... doesn't work. I don't know why ...
I'm interested in a solution . post here if you find one
you can side load the samsung remote .. i did it from a ti backup off my a500 tablet.. iT DOES WORK once you get it on the device...
i have samsung smart tv...
Search in the Play Store for 'Smart TV Remote Tab' by developer Adiroid. It is far better, as the app by Samsung. Even sending text is no problem. It's free

I've just switched from iOS after 4-5 years and got an S4, , must say I'm pretty enjoying the customization and the air gestures probably more than I should be. One feature I miss from iOS is AirPlay just because I could stream YouTube vids to the big TV on guy night get togethers. Friend told me to check out this forum as the "biggest android forum", so I here I am. Ive seen Miracast mentioned a fair bit around here and was wondering if that's the best way?
No Smart TV, just an ordinary Samsung 42"er.
Live in the UK if that matters.
Cheers.
Buy a allshare cast dongle!

Or use the YouTube app and pair it with your tv, you need a smart tv or a console that can download like an Xbox ect

Hi
Please help me with this -I've a Samsung galaxy s3 and a new Samsung LCD TV.
So most of the videos I can stream from my s3 to the TV via dnla as long as they're in the same WiFi networks.
Now I just got my new nexus thinking I'll be able to do the same. But chrome starts play inn these videos directly
On the webpage and I don't have any way to stream this to the TV.
On s3, it used too play it on the video player that comes with the android os.
How do I do this on nexus? The wireless display doesn't find my TV at all

N7 supports miracast. You need miracast support for wireless.
So do I need to buy miracast dongle?

Chromecast dongle could be another choice?
Look for "Pixel Media Server" on Playstore.
I use it to stream via DLNA to my Samsung tv, since my S4 is running on AOSP.

solved...!!
I figured it out finally..quite easy..
On chrome itself when its playing the flash video, there is a share button and i downloaded a program called Twonky Beam from playstore,,and click on share via beam..
Bingo!! it straight away beams whatever is playing in my browser on to my samsung TV in clear HD!!..no messsy wires..I assume there are similar apps to beam as well..
Thanks guys!!
I can't find anything anywhere that would allow me to connect this tablet to an hdmi tv. Is there simply no way?
The only way you can do it is by buying a Chromecast(35$)
And then screen mirror with the application (Chromecast) play store
