Hi, I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 (i337M jflteub). But the display brightness seems very low than other S4 models that I have compare it (they were i9505 and the 9500). I have checked with CPU-Z but doesn't give any detail on the display to see if is Samsung manufactured or another (generic).
Does anyone know a bulletproof method to see if the display is original or not?
Additional info:
- It is a second hand device
- Yes, it seems that the screws are violated, but don't know if it was in order to change the display.
Thanks in advanced"

hi,
I just wanted to know whether samsung Galaxy i9500 Made by Vietnam is original.
In thier specs it mentions as below,
4.2.2 Jelly Bean
8Mp (acctual) Af + 1.9MP Camera
5.0" Full HD Super AMOLED Screen
1.6GHz Quad Core Processor
Bluetooth S Beam Wifi
Smart LED Screen & High Quality Smooth Touch
Mine is GT-I9505 and also Vietnam but the camera is 13Mp.
Check the CPU(With Antutu For example or ohter application) , you will know if it's a official S4.

Hello, mates!
I own a galaxy s4, IMO is a perfect device for dimensions, screen, and spaces optimizations.
I don't like s5 form factor, and the only one thing I really miss with s4 is the camera in low light conditions.
Compared with new sensors s4 can't make very good low light pictures, a friend of mine have huawei p7 and I can see that in darkness pictures are much better than mine take with s4!
My idea is to install s5 camera in galaxy s4, I think pinout could be the same (n^ of pins are the same, but I have no datasheets).
It could be a difficult mod because s5 flex cable is not straight like the flex cable of s4 camera:

s5: http://www.gigasoftaustralia.com/eBay/portableparts/productphotos/i9600/rcamflex/1.jpg
Probably it's impossible for a lot of reasons (drivers? from galaxy s5 is possible? Fit to the case? Cable?), but I ask because I know someone swapped camera sensors in other devices, and the only thing that makes it seem "old" the s4 is the camera performance :cyclops:
Work on i9505?

I don't know, for this reason I posted in Q/A section
Hi
I recently bought a OnePlus3 - which has a non standard sRGB color calibration - I think it looks beautiful.
With the recent firmware update, I can turn on sRGB but then the display looks kind of dull - it actually looks dull like my S4.
Question:
Is there a hack/mod for my S4/CM13 - I can use to get more vibrant (maybe false) colors, like the ones I have on my OP3?
Galaxy S4 already uses the dynamic display mode by default, which causes colors to look extremely vibrant and saturated.
CM13 has a color calibration option.
I am not able to get WHITE on the galaxy S4 compared to OP3 - using the settings / calibration.

The OP3 on the left has brightness at 80-ish% and the S4 at 100%.
Even if I set the adaptive mode to 'Outdoor' it is still a greyish/yellow-white compared to OP3.

I know it's an old post, but you can adjust the colour temperature to get the same effect.

I'm planning to switch my OnePlus 3T with a Galaxy S8 SM-G950F.
My negotiation is for a 1 week used device. That's what the other side told me!
The S8 owner sent me a screenshot of CPU-z and for some reason, density and resolution won't match with the original specs. Here in Brazil we can be fooled with very good replicas.
Can someone attach a screenshot using cpu-z on DEVICE info tab?
Thanks in advance!
His screen is set to the default 1080p setting.

Hello everybody, i was looking into the a7 2018 forum and it looks like no one has this phone! There isn't a single custom rom or recovery, not even a guide to root the phone.
But if you look on facebook or the official forum there is plenty of people asking for features and more.
I mean this phone has problems right now and samsung is doing nothing to solve them, there is a huge gap that can be filled by modders.
Stuff like:
- It has a 24.8mp Sony IMX 576 sensor but there is a problem in the image processing, Samsung is using the Superpixel feature that turn 4 pixel into 1 for a brighter image during low light captures, and because of this a lot of details of the camera are loss, is there a way to switch off this feature that right now it's always ON even during the day.?
- It has the same sensor of the A9 but it's lock to 1080/30fps for marketing purposes, the A9 is able to record in 4k/30, can someone modify the camera features in order to enable the 4k/30 or even more 4k/60?
- This phone is able to record real 720/960fps for 1/3 of a second, but it is lock to record in slowmo at 720p/120 and 240, is there a way to bring it up to at least 1080p?
There is so much potential in this phone and no one is looking into it.
To be honest, I would not be surprised if no one had this phone, as for the same price you can now buy an unused S7 which can e.g. record 720p/240 and its specs are quite a bit better honestly; I am not saying that you made a mistake buying the A7 – I would actually do the same if I preferred bigger phones.
IMO the S7 offers the best price to quality ratio though.
P.S. I personally own an A3 2016, purchased in 2016, as it cost was relatively low.
