[Q] How to remove KNOX Bootloader? - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S 4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshoot

How to remove KNOX Bootloader on Samsung Galaxy S4 l720?
Is there such a possibility?

You cannot yet. Maybe in the future. But right now once you have it you will always have the Knox bootloader.

If you want to keep your warranty intact then do not root or flash anything. Keep it completely stock.
If you don't really care about the warranty then you can install any custom ROMs, kernels, recovery. etc
Oh and its impossible to reset the knox counter once you trigger it which voids your warranty. Even flashing stock firmwares with old bootloaders without knox while trigger the Knox flag so be very careful!

Unbranded firmware

Hi all, I have a Gt-i9505 with a branded firmware that is sim unlocked, I would like to flash the newest firmware that is Unbranded...... Is this at all possible??

Yes this is possible. Flash rom via Odin. Do note new formwares have knox enabled bootloaders if your on a pre knox firmware. There's plenty of discussion here what knox is and the knox warranty issues etc read up on it all before deciding what to do.

Custom ROM on official 4.3

Good day guys., I am now ready to void my knox warranty and I wanted to have a custom rom. Is it possible? I read somewhere that only the old bootloader is allowed to have custom rom. Am I stuck in this unfortunate rom?

Click to collapse
There is only two ways:
1. Change conclusively Knox 0x1 and have root and custom ROM. Of course loose waranty.
2. No root no change knox 0x0 and have a stock
Yeah it's okay for me to have 0x1 knox. I just want to make sure cause I thought I read somewhere you cant flash custom rom on knox bootloader

So last question im a little bit paranoid, is it possible to flash a custom rom given I had a knox bootloader?
