[Q] Is it possible to port Minecraft Pocket Edition to armv6? - Galaxy Y GT-S5360 and Duos 6102 Q&A, Help & Troubl

I have seen quite many videos with thousands of views that have fake apk's that are "minecraft pe armv6"
They're actually minebuilders textured to look like minecraft
Is it possible for someone to port minecraft pe to armv6? I am if you do thousands will download it!

Questions ironically go in the Question and Answer section NOT general section
the answer is no if it contains armv7 libs unless you have the source code or uses unity libs

No..you can't ..upto now only unity engine based games Only be ported to Armv6..

[Q] Game Development

I do not know anything about game development.
I am trying to develop and android game but my problem is the graphic/display part.
I have the code for running the game already but my UI is just awful. Im just using textviews and buttons
I need a dice (3D if possible). but 2D is also ok..
Where should I begin???
Can anyone give me a really really simple code for making 2D games?
or any link out there that is very simple to follow?
Thanks
take a look at the lunar lander example or snake demo on google's developer website
For 2d take a look at andengine and its examples, it is an opensource 2d open gl es framework, its very usefull, coder friendly and it will work 10 times smoother than canvas on java...

[Q] 2D Game development Guides?

im wanting to create a simple 2d game to get use to making games, i want similar gfx as angry birds 2d, using open gl es? i think thats right
are there any good tutorials to help out
iv never done this kind of thing before
i want to make one of them worm/ helicopter cave games
Bump

If you're completely new to it, perhaps start on Canvas drawing instead of OpenGL. Check out the example project in the Android SDK called Lunar Lander.

Whats best zelda like rpg on android for the iconia

So I have downloaded and played the zenonia rpg's and accually my fav is itonia3.
I have looked through the market but the market search results are kinda all over the place so never know what your loking at.
What other rpg's are there like the zenonia and inotia3.
Not intrested in emulators I know there are tons of older games for those.
Looking for android specific ones.
Zelda? lol..................
may i recommend
The first computer based RPG I ever played back in my Sun SPARC days? Nethack. There are some great android versions on the market - and if you have not played it you are missing out.

Yes zelda, why is that funny?
I mean a 2d rpg like game that is like the old zelda on nintendo. Zenonia 1,2, and 3 and Itonia 3 are all like zelda and I was curious if there were more.
LOL we cant all be uber cool, some of us still like the classics. It dont all have to be blood and guts ya know to be a good game.

What can i do with Xoom?

Hi all,
I am expecting Xoom WiFi to be delivered this week
Wondering what all I can do ?
I have some fair knowledge on root etc.
Looking for some of your suggestions
Cheers,
well you can OC, flash timats rom with speed enhancements, a theme or two, play games. There isn't much to do yet until ICS comes out. Having HC (being closed source) there is only so much to do. When ics comes out(which is open source), there will be a lot more to do and more compatibility for roms and themes.
thanks. any links where i could look for tools etc?
this is a great put together thread.

Also if you download things like quick office to read and edit office documents ( word, excel, ppt) and you can download Sketchbook pro to do things like painting. Cool to use with a stylus. Also super note.apk from the transformer is a note taking app that is fully integrated with handwriting and stylus(or finger) and pictures and audio clips. Its really cool.

Since you are new to the Xoom (and possibly Android)....ICS and HC refer to Ice Cream Sandwhich and Honeycomb, the upcoming and existing operating systems on the Xoom.

Games development and GE

Hello to everyone, i'm new of this forum ,
I wanted to ask you for a game engine and when it becomes necessary.
I was wondering if the games that have a simple logic and a 2D graphics is developed with a framwork types similar unity, etc..
For example, Pou (you can find that on the play store of google), you think it was done completely by hand or has been used a Game Engine?
Also, you know one GE that is completely free for android / ios / wp where i can, according to the license of that, market my product?
Thanks
AndEngine is great but it's not necessary to use an engine: http://www.raywenderlich.com/12065
I suppose if you're project is a little bit bigger than TicTacToe or similar and you want to use scaling, rotation and so on you shouldd really use an engine!!
I don't like AndEngine, I use LibGDX and this one is really great!!
