Hi there. First of all I am sorry to create a new topic because I have already spent 2 days of searching the forum about my problem but couldn't quite figured it out rightly.
I have Samsung Galaxy S4 I9505. Its operating system is 4.3. When I try to update it via OTA, it says "Your software has been modified. Software updates are not available. "
But I don't know if I have done any modifications in my software.
Kindly help me in this regard.

Have you rooted your mobile?
You can always flash a system image via odin to update ir simply head to a service center

Hi guys. My s4 (i9500) hadn't been updated right the last time. The package wasn't updated succesfully. But when cheking for updates via pc kies or from phone directly it's the latest firmware. My phone is overheating because of software . The service center told me the software should be reinstalled. How can i install the software without rooting??? Plz help me. Than you

Ask service centers to do it or use odin to flash official firmware

Hello!
I am having a kind of problem with my S4 it's that I am getting an update that I can't find anywhere what is it and I have attempted to install it but I get an error during the installation progress, even via Kies it got stuck at (Downloading... Do not turn off target!!)
And Kies did show a failure message while installing and shutdown!
Can anyone help me out with this?

Hi, I just bought the S4 off ebay and ive gone to check for updates because I heard kickkat is out and apparently the phone is modified and im blocked on updates? Is there a fix for this?

you bought a modded phone, maybe he installed a custom rom or kernel, or maybe he just rooted
i think there is a method to revert it search around these forums, you will get the answer i assure you

Your phones software has been modified (it says custom) thus the Samsung servers will reject your device.
It may be that the phone has/was rooted and/or the ROM is heavily customized
You can restore your phone to factory conditions if you search the forums for information regarding this.
Be advised to not flash anything that will bring your phone to factory stock android 4.3 or you will or may activate KNOX which will permanently aggravate you.
Plead search the forums for more details.

I have no idea why you can update over OTA... and, why are you complaining about it?
Furthermore, the OTA is unlimited... I would highly recommend you to read the communicates more carefully.

Now read the message with understanding... (a hint: software update service is not available and following sentence).
as you may have (visible) problems with it, let me to translate it to your language:
OTA server is too busy, because ppl checking the software update twice per second. therefore you shall use normal server via KIES.
Is it easier now?

It is good is not working otherwise you would brick your phone. Wait for developers until they release a room with that update. Never try to install updates on a samsung rooted room. Cheers

You can update the phone downloading a firm from samy page, then flash it with odin.
