Which method do you guys use to change the font your tablet? On my Samsung Note it was simple and on my HTC EVO I would just flash a zip from recovery. Also how reliable are the apps for changing fonts on the market? Some say they get boot loops using those....

I need help regarding the boot loop...I am new to flashing ROMS..Few times i got into the Boot loop..
Sometimes I got into Boot loop for Modding , theming or using some Root application as well...
I just want to know is it possible to find out what is the reason or root cause for boot loop...how can i debug this boot loop problem....

1. if flashing two different roms, you have to wipe data. if you dont wipe, then youll get a bootloop.
2. bad download of a rom/kernel.
3. the theme/mod isnt compatible or a bad download.
4. rarely, stuff corrupts.
5. root applications with stuff thats not compatible with your rom/kernel.

I know because of compatibility i am getting the boot loop when i am using the root application....
My question is how to debug or find out where it went wrong... what made that application is not compatible with my ROM/Kernel....

watching a log cat via adb while the device is forced into one of these "bootloops". maybe even a dmseg. btw, are you sure that you have root? can you describe a situation, what you were doing with what root app, in detail how a "bootloop" happens? can you describe the bootloop and how you recover from one?

When i use Rom toolbox pro font installer to install new fonts or change the status bar using the build in icons...
two times i got into the boot loop problem.....

those options probably arent compatible due to android version, phone model, or rom(if works on another rom). there could be filesystem differences that make things incompatible. not all hacks/mods work on all devices. this all would cause bootloops, the way you describe it. have someone else with a nexus 4 confirm if they work or cause bootloops.
I already spoke with the developer regrading these boot loop problems... he has provided some solutions for it...
I have try those workarounds and lets see whether it fixes the problem or not....
So I rooted my LG G2 and deleted bloatware that was on the safe list to delete. Then I installed G2 xposed and installed framework.
After I rebooted my phone my led is contantly flashing blue and green and when I do any system functions the phone kind of hangs and freezes briefly. Sysyem functions as in if I press and hold a app or widget the phone freezes or if I pull down notification panel it freezes if I put the phone on vibrate.
What should i do. Please if anyone has had this happen or knows what to do all help is appreciated.

the best thing to do is returning to stock firmware :
How do i do that though. Do i need a computer and need to download the stock firmware? Or can i do it from my phone?

No u cant bcuz g2 roms are .kdz so u cants flash them via recovery but u can flash other roms like cyanogenmod or anything else
will i risk bricking if i do cyanogenmod. do you have a llink of a how to install

What g2 r u using is it the international one ?

But im installed this rom on my d802 and in first run i dont have any problem but when i reboot the phone i see this error: system ui has been stopped work & phone.android has been stopped work

First of all, thanks a lot for putting this rom together One little question tough. When I installed this rom (twice, just to be sure ), I never got the option to choose an existing device to restore from. I usually restore most of my apps first from this option and then restore the data via Titanium backup. Is this caused by the gapps from LG? Can this be triggered again or fixed? I did try to delete my account and log in again without results.
Again, it's not a big deal but it seemed a little odd.

Using D802, works very well and battery is going awesome too. But the earpiece sound is not as good as other Cloudy builds, or the stock's. Did you install xposed? It is known that xposed would break tethering and networks setting.
Or have u try to access via mobile data setting > 3 dots > mobile network

That happened to me i messed up my touch screen after flashing Cloudyg2 3.0 using my D802.... fortunately i have a nandroid backup.. restoring the nandroid wont work first you have to clear cache, systemdata, dalvic, and i flash the back to KK zip file posted from OP of cloudyg2 3.0 then i restrored my backup via twrp....
PS i also had the hard time touching the screen as i messed up my touchscreen after flashing the cloudyg2 3.0 rom IT'S not a hardware problem btw. you just need to patiently check the screen patterns when touching, A touching technique for it to work and you can able to flash your backup rom and restore

Can't do anything in Recovery as unable to swipe to format or swipe to install. Touches not accurate.
I *REALLY* think the OP needs to pull this D/L as that's two users from a very small installation based with bricked phones.

Boot up... walla... touch are messed up
Boot into Recovery... the problem still there
trying to flash bootstack-d802-LP_30d-loki-signed.zip from somewhere in xda
very, very, very hard to confirm flashing by swap the button... fiuuh made it...
Boot up... LG logo, then black screen
Boot into recovery... hey...!!! it fixed after flash that zip
now i can restore my nandroid finally
anyone who make it boot without touchscreen issue on D802, please tell us how to make it works

Flash KK baseband, after flashing the Kikat or your nandroid backup before you reboot..
Awesome job ,I love this rom and came from optimus g3 1.4.1 kk, everything works great and smooth, battery is great, only one thing bother me is xposed tried to flah the alfa version via recovery and wipe cache & delvik but when my phone start is blocked by error pop up of lg cover smart and i cant use it. Any idea? Any framework compatible? I want to use my G3 tweaksbox

That's normal. Lg smartcover.apk is not compatible (yet) with xposed so you have to remove them before installing xposed or you will get the error. Lg weather isn't compatible yet either. The best way, for me at least, was to use this app to remove those apk's for you and it installs xposed too. you can restore the apps too with the app.

If you use this it must work. Just copy your stock boot animation to pc take backup and back up everything in your recovery. Here is the fixed stuff for that animation

so I just flash the sounds via twrp and it worked now when I boot my phone I have watchdogs sounds and not lg s stocks....now for the animation it worked but first I recommend back up your stock animation ... you can find it by using es explorer and then you can paste the zip that you can find on the thread that ceza1380 post here then don't reboot you must change the permitions of your new boot animation you can do that by using again es explorer just long press on the new boot animation (it must have that name bootanimation.zip) and go to permitions and make them (rw r r ) you can be sure by taking a look to the stock boot animation s permitions ....so in conclusion you can install boot animations sounds and boot animation on cloudyg2 but first you must do all the steps from above ....another big thanks to @ceza1380 for posting the the thread !!! ???
